Keith and Kiana were currently heading to the academy's garden, the part where Catarina started a farm field, because Catarina herself requested to meet both of them there. "Say Keith, how was it? I meant your time at the Claes resident." Kiana asked Keith while looking in front. "Hm? It was....nice. Much better than our old house hold. Catarina's parents were very caring and nice, I must say. And Catarina used to always play with me or climb trees, basically we spent everyday together." Keith replied while unconsciously smiling to himself, which Kiana noticed.

"Hmmm was their resident huge?" Kiana asked again. Keith nodded. "Of course it's huge, Catarina's parents are Duke and Duchess." Kiana nodded to Keith's reply. The two arrived at Catarina's farm field and saw her. "Sister, you called us?" Keith said, which resulted in Catarina turning towards them and nodding. Catarina gathered the two closer and explained about Maria Campbell getting bullied by some girls. "I see." Keith said while crossing his arms.

"What can I do to protect Campbell.." Catarina said, deep in thought. "Why don't we just become friends with her and stay by her side as much as possible?" Kiana suggested while leaning against a wall behind her. "Kiana's right, if she's with the three of us, then it will be harder to bully her. Also considering our status and all." Keith backed you up as Catarina lits up at our idea. "That's it! Thanks Kiana and Keith!" She said as she walked away. Kiana saw Keith smile at Catarina and it hit her. "Keith.."

Keith turned to Kiana and said, "Hm?" with a confused look. "You...you like Catarina more romantically than sibling love, don't you?" Kiana asked, as Keith turns red. "I-I-" Keith tries to come up with an excuse but to no avail, he couldn't. "..I did not expect this-at all..but I guess wish you good luck, since she already has a fiance." Kiana said, as she walks away too, leaving Keith deep in thought. Kiana walked down a hallway and saw Geordo carrying a bunch of paper, obviously struggling. "Prince Geordo, should I help you carry those papers?" Kiana said as Geordo tilted his head to look who the voice belonged to. "Geordo. Just call me Geordo, and no I don't need help." Geordo said continuing to walk down the hallway, but then suddenly half of the papers slipped down, catching him off guard.

"Ah-" He said as he tried to crouch down to get the fallen papers with one hand, and the other hand holding the remaining half of the papers but Kiana also crouched down and tried to get the fallen papers, resulting in their hands accidentally touching. Unconsciously, both of them had small tint of pink on their cheeks at this interaction. "S-sorry just let me help you." Kiana said and gathered all the fallen papers, before holding them in her hands. Both of them stood up and started walking again, well mainly Geordo leading and Kiana following. "Where are we going by the way?" Kiana spoke up after a few minutes.

"Student council room. Rapheal asked me to deliver these to him yesterday." Geordo responded, not glancing at Kiana. "Hm alright." Kiana responded. "I heard you're Catarina's fiance since you both were young?" Kiana asked again. Geordo nodded, now smiling. "It was funny back then. I was introduced to her by her father and we took a stroll in their garden, but she got distracted and tripped. She had a scar on her forehead because of that, and I took responsibility for it, even though she said it was okay and that it was nothing. The next day, I came back and saw her working on a farm field she created, but I didn't mind it. I just asker her for her permission on our engagement and it seemed like she didn't think before answering, she accepted it."

Geordo told Kiana about his first encounter with Catarina as the two walked to the student council room together. Both of them were smiling and Kiana spoke up after. "She's a strange girl, isn't she? One that's unique in a way." Geordo nodded. "She is, and that's why she got me interested in her. Unfortunately, that girl fails to realize my feelings for her." Geordo said in a deadpanned expression, which Kiana laughed at and replied, "I'm sure she'll realize it soon. You're pretty obvious after all." Geordo stopped walking, along with Kiana since she saw him stopped. "Hey, wanna make a deal?" He said as Kiana raised a brow.

"I'm not saying yes until you tell me the deal." Kiana said, making Geordo chuckle. "Quick-witted I see. So the deal is, I'll help you become closer to Alan, in order for you to get Catarina, to fall for me." Geordo said it so confidently, thinking that Kiana would agree without hesitation. "Pfft-hahah!" Kiana started laughing, which made Geordo confused. "I can get closer to Alan myself, and we don't even have feelings for each other, so no thank you! You can keep trying for Catarina to even realize your feelings for her." Kiana said while continuing to walk ahead, since the student council room was near.

"H-Hey! Well-....that's not what Alan thinks though." Geordo said, which caught Kiana's attention. "Whatever do you mean, Geordo?" She said, not turning around but she stopped walking. "That guy keeps talking about you, whenever he has the chance..it's annoying honestly." Geordo replied as he walked past Kiana to the student council room. "Th-that doesn't mean anything!...does it?" Kiana said as he caught up with him but she didn't receive a reply, as the two arrived at the student council room and gave the papers to Rapheal, who thanked them. They walked out of the room and Kiana turned to Geordo. "You better not be making this up, Geordo." Kiana said as she turned around and left Geordo. It was silent a bit, before Geordo laughed. "She's smart, but also dumb." He said to himself, before walking away to do his own stuff too.

It was now lunch break and Catarina had invited Kiana to come with her to eat lunch with Maria, which Kiana agreed. Kiana and Catarina were currently walking down a hallway when the two saw Maria getting bullied by a bunch of noble girls. Catarina was still staring at the girl who was harassing Maria with her fire power so Kiana ran in front of Maria. "Oi enough with your stupid false accusations. This school grades students based purely on merit. There is no damn bias and Maria is always trying her best. Her grades proves this! Besides, the student council, Catarina and I, don't hang out with her just because of her light magic." Kiana said while staning protectively in front of Maria.

Catarina also walked up from behind them. "Kiana's right. It's because Maria puts her effort and all into everything she does! If you keep doing this,

 you will be doomed."

Catarina's face seemed to scare off the girls as they ran away saying 'we're so sorry!!'. "Tch, what a bunch of fools." Kiana said while shaking her head. "Maria, are you okay?-" Catarina was cut off by seeing Maria crying. Both Catarina and Kiana turned alerted at this. "Maria! Don't cry, those mean girls are gone now!" Kiana said, trying to comfort her. "No..Ms Claes, my name.." was what Maria said. Catarina realized her mistake and apologized, "Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to call you by your first name without your permission...how impolite of me-" Maria cut her off by replying, "No no! I don't mind at all, please, do just call me Maria from now on!"

Catarina agreed happily and the three sat down at the bench that Maria was sitting at. "If you allow it...may I also call you Catarina, like the other student council members do?" Maria asked again, which Catarina agreed. "Of course!" Kiana smiled and also said, "We're friends after all, right Maria?" Maria looked shocked for a moment, before she started crying again. Both Catarina and Kiana tensed up and gasped "W-why are you crying!?" said both of the girls. "No no I'm just really happy.." Maria replied while waving her hands. Catarina and Kiana became relieved and sighed.

"We came here to ask if you wanted to eat lunch with us. Would that be alright?" Catarina said, which Maria happily agreed.

Time skip : Night

Kiana was so absorbed in reading at the library, that she didn't even realized that it turned night. She rubbed her eyes as she thought to herself. 'This book is about to finish, not to mention, very interesting..I'll go back to my dorm after I finish this book.' was what she said to herself. Even though she kept reading and reading, her eyelids were becoming heavier and heavier that at one point, she fell asleep. The light from her lantern on the table, unexpectedly caught the attention of someone passing by the library. That person was, Nicol Ascart. He walked into the library to figure out who was inside it at this time. When he was close enough, he saw that it was Kiana and she had fell asleep on her desk.

She had her book open and she was sleeping on it peacefully. Nicol was about to wake her up and walk her back to her dorm, but he couldn't bring himself to it. Kiana looked so peaceful and fragile that she would break if someone touches her. She looked even more beautiful, since the light from the windows illuminated her face. Nicol had been staring at her face for a few minutes, before he decided not to wake her up and carry her back to her dorm, since his sister is her other dorm mate. He gently lifted her off the chair and carried her in bridal style to the dorms. He was passing a hallway when he heard something. He looked around, trying to find anyone but no one was in sight.

He shrugged it off and continued walking. Nicol suddenly felt Kiana snuggled closer to his chest, making his cheeks a tint of pink. He finally arrived at her dorm and knocked on the door. Sophia opened it while yawning but her sleepy-ness immediately went away when she saw her brother carrying Kiana. "Brother! What happened to Kiana!?" She asked as she gestured him inside. "I was passing by the library and I saw her sleeping, she must have fall asleep while reading..did I woke you up?" Nicol replied and Sophia shook her head. "I was getting ready to sleep so I wasn't asleep yet. I'll be going to sleep now though, you can tuck Kiana san in her bed." Sophia said and walked to her room. Nicol nodded and walked into Kiana's room, before gently placing her on her bed but Kiana suddenly grabbed his arm. "N-nicol...Don't leave..." Kiana spoke up with furrowed eyebrows, still half asleep and eyes closed.

Nicol was confused on how she knew it was him and he was quiet for a moment, before gently stroking Kiana's head with his other hand. "I heard from Sophia that you complemented her when you first saw her...that was very nice of you. Most people don't and call her a freak...I'm glad you aren't one of them." Nicol rather spoke to himself as he continued stroking Kiana's head. Since Kiana was holding onto his right arm like her life depends on it, Nicol didn't dare to move it, because if he did, it would wake Kiana up. He was in a tight situation but he just sighed and slipped his shoes off, using his free hand.

He grabbed a nearby chair and placed it next to Kiana's bed, before sitting down on it. He placed his left arm on Kiana's bed, before placing his head on it. His face was directly in front of Kiana, he could hear her breathing and she could hear his, if she was awake. Nicol was still confused on why his heart would beat a lot if Kiana was near him. He closed his eyes and drifted away to sleep.
