Epilogue

"How was school?" I asked once I saw Lilly in the kitchen.

"It went great, mom!" she exclaimed. "There was a new girl in our class today, and we became friends,"

"That's great," I smiled at her. "Whe—"

"We're here!" Molly's voice said. "We're hungry, mom!"

"I bet you are. Go take a bath, then go down here, okay?" I told them and they immediately complied. I smiled at how lucky I was to have those kids.

"Hey, love," someone kissed my cheek.

I turned my head around and pecked Bryan's lips. The spark was still there. If it was possible, I personally thought that it became stronger. I fell in love with Bryan every day.

Even though Bryan quitted Westlife nine years ago, he was still friends with them. He said that he wanted to have time for me. I tried to talk him out of it but he said that I was more important than his career. And luckily, the rest of the members accepted it.

A few years later, Bryan went solo. I guessed being in a famous boy band gave him a very hectic schedule. Being solo was easier for him. Me? I was a music teacher in high school. And I couldn't even be happier with my job.

Before he even got out of the band, he sang the song that I wrote for them entitled 'How Does It Feel'. Believe it or not, it got a worldwide hit on the charts.

"Nicky's coming over," I reminded him.

"I know," he kissed my hair. "Georgina and his kids are with him too, right?"

"Of course," I said. "Heard that they're expecting their third child,"

Sixteen years ago, Nicky told me the truth of what he was feeling for me. He told me right after Bryan and I got together. I knew that it was hard for him to see me happy with Bryan but that's love, someone was bound to get hurt, right?

But a few months later, he met with his childhood sweetheart, Georgina. They had this puppy love thing going on when they were still kids. Georgina moved out of town before and came back just to see Nicky. When Nicky saw her, I saw everything changed for Nicky. What he felt for her was different from what he felt for me.

He was in deep for Georgina.

I thought that things wouldn't work out for us. But luckily, it did. My conscience was killing me for bringing Nicky into such heartbreak before. But now, I got to live my life together with the man that I truly loved.

Sixteen years.

That was a lot of time we spent together.

And guess what?

We were still counting.

Sixteen years ago.

How could I even forget what happened that time?

*Flashback*

I fought the urge to kiss Bryan back and immediately pulled away from him. "What did you just do?" I whispered. Why did he kiss me when he already had Kerry by his side?

Let's face it. I was just another girl who he could easily mess around with.

"I'm sorry, Rain," he said. "I-I don—"

"Don't," I shook my head. "Why can't you just leave me alone?" I asked him with pleading eyes. "Just let me go. I don't want to be hurt anymore,"

"I don't want to hurt you," he cupped my face. "I will never hurt you, Rain. Kerry is nothing to me,"

"No, don—"

"I love you, Rain,"

"What?" I shook my head, not wanting to believe it. "You don't,"

"What makes you say that?"

"I'm nobody,"

"You're not," he looked into my eyes. "So, Rain, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Will you hurt me if I said yes?" I whispered.

"I wouldn't dream of it," he smiled and leaned in to kiss me one more time. And for the first time, everything felt so right.
