In the morning, I dressed in the black dress I picked last night and was excited about my movie date with Vihaan. Mom entered my room to find me almost ready and asked, "Where will you dress up nicely?"

"I'm going out with my friend, mom. I'll be back in the evening." I replied as I applied light makeup to my face.

She asked me to have breakfast before leaving, for which I nodded, and she left. I finished combing my hair and applied light peach lipstick on my lips which complimented my look. I wore sandals on my foot, took my handbag, and got downstairs to have breakfast.

I finished breakfast and said bye to my parents were watching TV in the living room. I left home, took a cab, and reached the theatre. When I checked inside, I couldn't find Vihaan. I texted him, 'Where are you?'

He replied instantly, 'Sorry for being late. Mom stopped me with some errands. Now, I'm on the way to you.'

'Hmm...I'm waiting at the entrance. I already got tickets for us.' I texted him back.

'Fine. I'll meet you at the entrance.'

I was looking around, waiting for him, and I saw a man bump into an old lady in front of me. She fell to the ground, and her bag was torn, so her things scattered on the floor. I ran to help her get up while the other two came to help her pick up her items. The man who ran into the old lady stood by as he yelled at her, "Can't you see while walking? If you're blind, you should stay home and not trouble others."

I was annoyed by his nonsense and rudeness. I approached him and asked him to apologize to the old lady for being rude. He argued with me instead of apologizing to her, "Why should I? She bumped into me. It wasn't my fault."

The other men also asked him to apologize, but he wasn't budging, so people started reprimanding him. As He couldn't take the insults, he looked at me furiously as he spoke, "It's because of you," and pushed me. I fell to the ground and got a scratch on my arm.

I got up angrily from the ground, grabbed his collar, and punched him. He got a bruise on his face. He came up to me furiously to slap me. However, Vihaan got in time and grabbed his hand, "Don't even dare to touch her."

I gazed at Vihaan to find him outraged. I have never seen his anger before. He apologized and slipped away from the incident when more people gathered around us. Everyone dispersed from the scene as well.

Vihaan saw the scratch on my arm and walked to a nearby medical store to get the medicine. He made me sit on the bench nearby and cleaned the wound. I could sense that he was distressed and worried about me as he spoke, "Don't get involved in others' arguments. Stay away from fights."

"Why? Do you think that I can't stand up to him?"

"I don't want you to get hurt," he replied. When I wasn't convinced of his reason, he looked at me anxiously as he continued, "I know you are capable, and you can fight against anyone. But I can't bear to see you getting hurt or in pain. So, please stay away from getting hurt."

I smiled at him, "I will do my best not to get hurt. I promise." He calmed himself after hearing my words. Afterward, we ran off to the theatre as it was getting late. We watched the movie and then went to a bakery, where I got a cake for us, which we shared.

While walking around the mall, we met Annie and her boyfriend, Joseph. Therefore, we decided to have lunch together at the nearby restaurant. We ordered pizza for ourselves and had a small talk while eating.

We left the restaurant after finishing, and Annie pulled me away from the guys to walk in front of them. She linked our arms, and I could sense her excitement as she whispered, "How far have you guys gone in your relationship?"

I instantly looked down at my feet, controlling my smile, "We kissed."

She squealed, "Wow." The boys glanced at us curiously. I shushed her as I pulled her away. She whispered, "I didn't expect it from you this soon." I looked out, blushing. She didn't stop teasing me until we parted ways at the entrance after saying goodbyes.

Later, Vihaan held my hand as he walked me home. We soon reached home, and he let go of my hand reluctantly. We said our goodbyes, and I was about to step inside when mom saw us together.

Vihaan tensed beside me when she walked toward us. She looked serious as she asked him to get inside as well. He looked at me nervously. Since I knew mom well, I assured him of relaxing and getting in.

We settled in the living room while mom walked away to the kitchen. After getting him a cup of coffee, mom asked him, "What do your parents do?" I wonder why mom was curious about his family background.

He glanced at me as he answered, "Mom is a designer, and she runs a clothing store, while my father is a businessman who lives in London." Mom continued asking personal questions like why they live separately. I nudged mom's hand so as not to ask him about it. I was worried he might be uncomfortable, but he replied calmly, "When I was 10, my parents divorced. My mom came here to start her own business. My dad got remarried, and I have a step-sister as well. We are still in contact with each other."

"Don't mind me asking about your family," Mom said. "Also, stay with us for dinner." She suggested, but he politely declined, "Maybe, next time." He left.

At dinner, we all sat around when mom saw the wound on my arm. "Where did you get hurt?" She asked, checking my arm.

I told them about the incident at the mall. "I am proud of you. It's good to be kind and helpful to others but be careful." Dad said, patting my head. I smiled at my dad's appreciation.

"Are you guys dating?" Mom asked out of nowhere. I choked on my saliva due to the shock of mom's unexpected question while dad stared at me, curiously awaiting my response.

"Yes," I replied, looking down at my plate.

"Who?" Dad asked.

"It's Vihaan, right?" Mom asked, looking at me. I nodded.

"He seems to be a nice boy. And I trust your decision," Dad said.

I smiled at dad, "Thanks, Dad."

Mom became all serious as she warned me to be within my limits. I agreed and thanked them for supporting and trusting me. Later, I went to my room and texted him that my parents had accepted him. 'Wow, it's nice. Your parents are cool,' he replied. Our conversation extended until I fell asleep.
