We were sitting around the table in the kitchen. Chale sitting to my left and Huston on my right. Facing mildewed I watched as she lightly held a cup of tea.
My leg was bouncing up and down nervously under the table, noticing, chale rested his palm on my knee. My leg stilled its irattic movement and i grew warm. It felt electric.
"Were you told why you were brought here?" Chale asks mildred who tentavly took a sip of her tea, i felt like i was watching her every move. id never met a witch before now. the idea that she could help me sent hope pulsing through my heart.
"I wouldnt be hear if i didnt, now would i?" Were all witches this uptight? "I understand that am important someone has been cursed with perculum dormientis by an evil wild sifter...who only had the ability because he's killed one of the very few of my kind?"
Chale and I looked at each other, nodding our heads in agreement. A look of worry settled over Mildred's faces but was quickly replaced by the calm expression it previously held.
"You've been lied to. You can't kill a witch and get their power unless you were born with witch blood. Whom ever this shifter is is getting a witch to temporarily give them some of there power. Witches live by a code, much like some others of the supernatural. "We do not, shall not, will not, let light succumb to dark." Is our code. Don't mistake my help for your cause, I'm here for the witch but I will see what I can do for you while the witch is being located."
"Thank you so much." Rushed out of my mouth as gratitude filled me. Mildred just shook her head and Chale seemed to be relieved that she would try to help. I suspected that even if Mildred refused to help, Chale would have made her, for me.
Chale wasn't a dictator, much like my father, thought I still had the same nervous feeling when an opportunity arrived for someone to refuse him. I could remember whenever someone would refuse my dad he would either go into a fit and throw things making the opposer submit or days later they would disappear. I never though much of it since my pa-old pack- knew not to disobey my father.
"Yes, thank you." Said Chale.
Mildred turned to me. "We must start immediately."
