Sunghoon's POV

The ambulance hurriedly went to the hospital so Chan hyung and I went after them. We rode Chan hyung's car.

We didn't hear a sound except for sobbings that came out of our mouth. We were just so worried for the two of them, specially Jake. He took in a lot of bullets. Why did he do that?

He's so selfish, he should've shared some of the bullets to me.

"S-sunghoon, Jake's gonna be alright, trust me. He's a fighter. He'll fight." Chan hyung said. He's crying but he's trying hard not to. He's trying hard to hide it.

I know why he's trying to hide it. He's trying to be strong. He is strong. What I mean is that someone has to be a father for me, Jake, and Jeongin.

He's our dad.

He takes care of us like his own child. He's such a caring person and he deserves everything just like Jake.

"I hope hyung. But I trust Jake, he'll fight." I replied simply. Chan hyung then looked at me through the rearview mirror and smiled at me. His eyes were red from crying and he looks so sad and worried.

We arrived shortly and I immediately rushed to Jake. Chan hyung on the other hand went to accompany Jeongin to remove the bullets from his back.

I am also thankful that Jeongin is safe but he still needs to go surgery to take out the bullets put of him. Who wants bullets on their back?

I followed the nurses towards the emergency room and I keep talking to Jake on the way. "Jake, I trust you. You'll fight right? Please fight for Hoonie. I haven't made you much happy as you made me Jakey. Fight for Hoonie please." I said and he doesn't reply because he's unconscious but I know he hears me.

"Sir, you can't go inside. Please wait until the operation is over." The nurse said even though I know.

I just nodded and immediately called Jake's mom.

"Hello? Sunghoon? Why are you crying?" She asked. "What? My baby is crying? Why?" I heard mom from the background asked.

"J-jake." I stuttered as I was nervous and still crying.

"Why? What happened to Jakey?" His mom asked worriedly.

"H-he got shot on his b-back. A lot." I said and they all gasped that has worry in it.

"Did you take him to the hospital?" This time mom asked because Jake's mom was already crying.

"Yes, I'm here with him. He's still in the emergency room."

"What happened exactly? Wait nevermind, we'll come to you. Tell us what hospital are you in?"

"We're at Busan Provincial Hospital." (I just made this up)

"Okay, I'll call you when we get there? Make sure Jake is okay." Mom said then hung up.

I hope Jake's mom isn't mad at me. I hope she'll listen to the whole story first.

Chan's POV

I accompanied Jeongin to the other emergency room but I wasn't allowed inside so I just waited. I hugged my Innie before he went inside.

The doctor checked him up first before surgery and I was relieved because the bullets really didn't went inside him. It was just shallow but he still needs to rest for a bit after it will be removed.

After Innie went in, I went to Sunghoon which was just waiting outside too. He has stopped crying after like minutes. I'm glad that he did stop, it's tiring to cry. His eyes are red and still sniffing.

He was incall with someone that I believe was Jake's mom. He needs to inform about what happened to her son. She might be worried.

Sunghoon ended the call and I immediately asked him. "Was that Jake's mom?"

"Yes and my mom too. They're best friends so they stick to each other all the time. But yeah, she cried and mom said they'll come here." Sunghoon said and I nodded.

"But hyung, I'm nervous." He added.

"What? Why? Is it about Jake? I know that his condition is critical but I know he'll fight and survive Hoon. Don't ever doubt Jake not fighting." I said strongly but not sounding mad, more like a reprimand I think.

"I don't doubt Jake, hyung. It's about his mom." Sunghoon said and it made me curious.

"What about her?" I asked as I signalled him to sit down.

"Well, uhm, this is the first time that Jake has been in a critical condition. The past times where Jake was stabbed and in danger, his mom didn't cry or wasn't very worried at all and Jake told me that it is because she knows Jake will fight and still live."

"She's trying to be strong and not show her emotions because she doesn't want to be a weak mother for Jake. She was very caring for Jake."

"But continuing what I said, the last time Jake was endangered, she didn't show any sad emotions, just anger and worriedness, but now on the phone, she cried hyung."

"She must be super angry to me. I'm nervous hyung. What if she won't let me see Jake anymore? What if she'll think that I'm the one who takes Jake in danger? What if she'll hate me?" Sunghoon said and was tearing up.

"Sunghoon be calm. She doesn't know the story why all of these happened. From what I think about her about what you told me, she's not the kind of person that's gonna go jump in conclusions. Explain to her all the things that happened."

"She won't hate you and I assure you that. Your mom and Jake's mom are best friends so I think that she treats as her own son." I said and he smiled.

"Yes hyung, you're right. Jake's mom would understand. I think she already know who did this thought but still, we should tell her everything." Sunghoon said.

"Let's just wait for them okay?" "Okay hyung."

time skip
No One's POV

Sunghoon and Chan was just watching a movie on the TV that was provided outside the emergency room.

It has been a few hours since they went to the hospital. Jeongin and Jake was already done with their surgery and their still resting.

Jeongin is conscious but was just sleeping and resting. Jake on the other hand was still unconscious but at least he's resting (in peace).

"WHERE'S MY SON?!"

Sunghoon and Chan flinched when they heard a woman scream. They averted their gaze to the place the voice came from and it was Jake's mom.

Behind her was Jake's dad and Sunghoon's parents.

"He's inside the emergency room ma'am." Chan replied so Jayka sprinted inside. The door was opened very wide and revealed that she immediately carefully hugged Jake while crying. Jake's dad was comforting her.

Sunghoon went to his parents and hugged both of them. "Mom, it's my fault. I didn't protected him. Instead, he's the one who protected me." Sunghoon said and started crying again.

"Hey, don't cry honey. Tell us what happened. We don't know what happened so please let us know and stop blaming yourself." Mrs. Park whispered to Sunghoon.

Sunghoon and Chan then started telling Sunghoon's parents about what really happened and they seem to be very frustrated about Chris and Ryujin.

They're also relieved that the two are already and confirmed dead so they can't bother more people anymore.

"Jake wanted to protect you Hoonie so he did. I understand how you feel but please don't blame yourself. When Jake wakes up, promise him that you'll protect him too, not only him just protecting you. I'm also proud of you for ending that psychopath's life" His father told him.

"Your father is right. None of the things that happened was your fault so stop blaming yourself. Right now, I want you to please go home and rest. We're here to accompany Jake and take care of him. We know that both of you and your friend  are tired so go home and come back tomorrow." His mom said.

"No, I want to stay with Jake." Sunghoon protested. "Your mom is right Hoon. We should rest. We've been through a lot today so we should rest." Chan said and that made Sunghoon agreed.

"Fine mom. Please take care of Jake. And ease tell the Sim's about what happened since we're heading home." Sunghoon said his parents nodded.

"Yes we will. It's already 10 in the night so please rest well son." His mom replied and Sunghoon nodded. "Thanks mom, thanks dad. Bye, we'll both go now." Sunghoon said as he waved.

Chan and Sunghoon was now already heading home to rest, they'll just go back tomorrow. They're also really exhausted so they must and should rest.

When they arrived Chan went to his room and Sunghoon went to his and Jake's room.

"I'm in my room if you need me, rest and sleep well Hoon." Chan said. "Okay hyung, thank you. Rest and sleep well too." Sunghoon replied.

Sunghoon then showered before he went to slumber.

the next day

Sunghoon woke up late then next day. He looked at the time on his phone and it was already 9am.

He yawned, meaning he did have a good sleep.

He then went outside his room and headed downstairs to cook breakfast for him. He knows that Chan will go to the hospital early because he will pick up Jeongin since he can just rest at home.

But when Sunghoon was already downstairs, his gaze averted  to the living room which contains a lot of people.

And a coffin which has a lot of flowers around.

Sunghoon became nervous and began to panic a little bit.

He looked at people who were there and there was his parents, Jake's parents, and some people he don't know. They were crying non-stop, specially Jake's mom.

Sunghoon slowly walked towards the casket to see who's inside, hoping that it wouldn't be the one he's thinking of.

Two more steps and he'll see who's inside.

One more step.

And now he's already standing in front of the coffin and there he was. The love of his life laying there peacefully looking so handsome and godly as he is.

"Jake. No no no no. This can't be happening. NOOO! JAKE WAKE UP!!!  YOU'RE NOT DEAD. PLEASE NOOOO WAKE UPPPP!!." Sunghoon shouted as he broke down in tears while hugging the coffin.

"Jake, p-please noooo. Wake u-up please." He said and was still crying.

As he was breaking down in front of the coffin, someone then pulled his hair so Sunghoon hissed because of the pain.

He looked at who was it and it was Jake's mom.

"IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT MY SON DIED! YOU THINK THAT YOU'RE TOO SPECIAL TO BE SAVED. WHY WOUKD HE SAVE YOU WHEN ONCE YOU WERE THE RESSON HE ALMOST DIED. YOU'RE A FUCKING THICK FACED PERSON." She shouted as she keeps slapping and pulling Sunghoon's hair.

Sunghoon's vision then was now blurry.
