The news of the arrival of Mr. Bajaj had spread among everyone in Solace. Guruji had informed his assistants that Rishab's adopted parents were his followers in Solace.
Rishab's actual parents had died in a bus accident when he was 8 years old. Guruji was on the same bus and had managed to survive, thereafter saving Rishabh too. He had taken the orphaned Rishabh under his care till another couple who had come to ask for a child in the ashram decided to adopt him. However this truth was known only to Guruji and one of his closest followers who had taken care of Rishabh for those 3 years.
Lakshmi was busy watering the plants. She still had so much to do. She had taken part in milking the cows in the morning, then sat for the morning puja, and lastly sat with Bani to pack her bags. Making handicrafts, delivering the sarees to the market were still left. Shalu would be coming the next day and help Bani in completing the rest of the formalities. Her youngest sister was going to leave her soon. She and Shalu had not got the opportunity to go the college they liked. Atleast she had got the chance to go to her dream school. Shalu had decided to drop out of college after their parents' death.
"Watering a plant so much would kill it instead''.
Lakshmi's chain of thoughts were abruptly broken by that deep voice. She turned her head around reflexively and was shocked to see their proximity.
He continues' "Sometimes too much care can cause you hurt."
Lakshmi- I seem to have seen you somewhere.
Mr. Bajaj- Aap is vakht mujhe dekh rahi hai kyoon mein chaahata hu ki aap mujhe dekhe.
Lakshmi was confused by Mr. Bajaj's wierd words. She thought 'I didnot know Guruji is opening a psychiatric here.' Giving a nervous smile, she was about to sneak out silently when she slipped over the mud and was about to fall into the mud when Mr. Bajaj, like a prince in Shining armour, caught her in his arms. Realising that her back was yet to hit the ground, she opened her eyes to see that Mr. Bajaj had saved her.
She could clearly look into his almond shaped eyes, dark brown orbs, long eye lashes. Realising that she was shamelessly checking out the wierd guy who had just now saved her, she mumbled a thank you and escaped the scene. However Rishabh was quick to have seen her red face and was smirking now.
"Bani I met a wierd guy in the garden. I had never him seen in Solace before", saying so Lakshmi pointed her finger towards Rishabh.
Bani- Di it is Mr. Rishabh Bajaj. The man about whom everyone is talking.
Lakshmi- The business shark? No no. He can't be. Infact I highly doubt his mental stability.
Bani- You can google it out.
Lakshmi- are you sure?
Bani nods her head.
Lakshmi- Stop staring at me. Go and volunteer others. People are working so hard out there.
Bani kept staring at her sister.
"Di, do you have a crush over him?"
"Have you lost it? I have only seen him once. Love at first sight is a myth."
"I was just saying crush. Looks like you have wilder thoughts in your mind." Saying so Bani rushes out.
Lakshmi keeps on wondering where she had seen those dense eyes before.
"Mr. Rishab Bajaj"
