Chapter Nine.
Forest of Death P1

Kyuubi's POV:

I wonder why the second exam is about a forest with a trespassing sign. This Anko girl took us, the Chunin Exam passers to some nature land in front of a large fencing with trespassing signs and some  Ninjas.

"This is the site of the second exam. The 44th Training Field." said Anko, explaining it to us. "Also known as... The Forest of Death."

With all of a sudden, I felt something crawling next to me. Of course me and Naruto will know who that is quickly. A shaped rock with two holes. That thick headed Konohamaru and his gang are here to cause trouble I see.

"Hey, Konohamaru! What do you want from me!" said Naruto, jabbing his finger to the rock.

"Quit this Konohamaru and you guys! This is a dangerous area for you three." I added.

I heard Konohamaru chuckle. "Heh! Just what I expected from the man I respect, and the woman I'm going to marry." Said the one who is in the 'rock'.

"Marry? Is it you who decide who I wed now, Konohamaru?" I said calmly with a smile. God he is just too adorable.

The rock exploded into gunpowder again.

"Uh, too much gunpowder used..." Said Konohamaru between the coughs. And then the three did their dramatic introduction of the Konohamaru Gang.

"Whats going on with you guys?" I asked, sighing. We received a lot of stares because of him.

"Hey, we are taking the second Chunin Exam. I have no time for playing around with you." said Naruto, exactly what I wanted to say. Konohamaru looked angry at Naruto.

"We didnt come here to play around!" And Moegi joined. "We came here for an interview!"

"Uhh, these guys are really annoying." I mumbled, walking away from them so I wont get more enemies. I sat down on the ground with crossed legs and just closed my eyes to relax, best thing is when Anko announced for a 10-minutes break for us before our second Chunin Exam begins.

"Whiskers."

Geez. What a nickname from...

"Huh, what brings you to me, Kankuro?" I said, bloating one of my cheeks as a sign of annoyance. He still looked the same, purple make-up, cat ears, that Crow thingie behind his back. And still with the hands in the pocket. Its like we haven't seen each other for a minute.

"Asking a question." He said, going near me. I tilted my head. "Question? Well then... Ask." I said.

It is odd that he suddenly came to ask me something. I am not THAT kind of girl that have answers.

"What are you?"

I looked at him with a gasp and shocking look. What is he trying to reach from me? Wait... Maybe its about Kurama. That Gaara told him about my powers.

"Answer it." He was determined but was a bit stuttering. Its a question from Gaara without a doubt. I shifted my eyes to him and I am correct, he was watching me and Kankuro with Temari.

I shifted my eyes back to Kankuro and narrowed them, a smirk slipped on me. "Same question I want to ask him." I pointed at Gaara. "I'll answer when he does." I determined, its a win-win.

Kankuro glanced to Gaara and Temari nervously.

"He will not answer this of course." Said Temari. "And we are not forcing you to tell us what you are."

"Fine then. I could only say what the villagers of the Leaf call me." I said, taking one glance to the sky and then to them again. "Demon fox monster." I whispered loud enough that they heard me.

Silence.

"Kyu-chan!" Konohamaru called, starting to run toward me with Udon and Moegi. I narorowed my eyes and looked at them, annoyed. Jeez, what do they want now! I am in a middle of something right now!

"What?" I said coldly.

He stopped, "No need to be cold now. We are interviewing, and we need you-"

"Not now, Konohamaru." I said. "Go annoy Sasuke. I have no time for interviews." I tried making it sound friendly to him. Thankfully, he grinned.

"Alright. Good luck, future strongest Shinobi in the world named Mrs Sarutobi." Said Konohamaru.

I smiled nervously with a sweatdrop. God this is creepy. But he left me to do more interviews.

Kankuro was still there.

"Well well. A Demon fox monster is good with kids. Who is left to call you that?" He said.

I sighed. "I told you. Villagers, many kids, some Ninjas and mostly schoolmates. But I am no fool to be a coward and scared toward them. This isnt part of what I planned on being a strong Shinobi."

"Strong Shinobi." He mocked.

I gave him a glare. "Watch your tongue. One day, you will respect me, respect my brother who will be Hokage and will even respect my husband and children. Got it?!" I half yelled at him.

(A/N: sweatheart. He shall respect Gaara because he is your future husband!!! Sorry... We dont know yet 😉)

"Geez, you are such a pain in the ass.." muttered Kankuro. "Are you going to answer my question yet or are you too ambitious to do that?"

"I gave you a hint. Now he shall give me one." I said, pointing at Gaara.

He took one step forward. "One hint: monster." He said.

I looked petrified, monster? Is it because of his sand- no, its something normal, I control fire this is normal. What does he mean by that?

"I am not scared!"

I heard Naruto being an embarrassment to us, imitating Anko. I sighed. "How annoying to have such a brother." I said, standing up and leaving Kankuro and his other gang and going to my brother. "Oi, Naruto. If you are going to keep this up, stop." I said, I was this close of reaching him until I saw Anko throw a kunai at Naruto.

It did not touch him, but it did cut his cheek until it went behind him and... TOWARD ME!

Anko gasped and was going to run to catch it. But something captured it, and this something is next to me. I was closing my eyes, almost wincing when I opened it, a tongue was holding it.

I panicked. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! YOU ALMOST CRUSHED MY DREAM OF BEING A STRONG SHINOBI!" I screamed at Anko.

She sighed in relief . "Thank god.." She said.

My eyes shifted to the tongue. I yelped in fear of it and stumbled backwards. The lady-man with the long tongue went to Anko and gave her the kunai.

Sakura helped me up as I narrowed my eyes to the tongue person in confusion and suspecting something. He or she looks creely as hell.

"Well. Before we start the second exam. I will pass out something to you guys." She took out papers from his clothes. "You'll have to sign this to take part. From here on out, corpses are going to come out. I have to get your consent to that. Or it'll be my responsibility."

Anko started to explain about this and saying its a survival test, that thirteen teams got the Heaven Scroll and the other half has the Earth Scroll that we have to get both of them and stuff like that. (A:N: you have to know that I hate explaining. Sorry 😅)

I was all listening until she mentioned that we are staying inside the Forest of Death for five days.

"Five days?!" I exclaimed in shock.

"where are we getting the food!" Choji exclaimed. Is that all he thinks of?

As she continued to explain and to the end.. "Finally, last advice... Don't die!"

these words made everyone have a serious look.

I grinned. "This'll be fun." I said to my team. They each placed their hand on my head since I am the shortest.

"Hai. It will be fun and dangerous." Said Sakura, smiling at me.

So it took me minutes staring at the paper Anko gave each one of us. Hm, so everyone is an enemy, and I wont know which Scroll they have or who have it. This truly is a survival test, and it will definitely be interesting.

"Ugly!"

"Billboard!"

I heard and saw Sakura and Ino fight by calling each other to names. I sighed and ambled toward them. "Oi oi, whats this all about?" I said, barging in the middle of their fight.

"Oh look, its Red Pepper!" Said Ino.

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?"

We fought for vew minutes.

I walked away and started to write my name on the paper and gave it to the desk and the man sitting there of the Ninjas. "Oi, bet me a bowl of ramen when I get out of here alive." I told the him.

He laughed. "Sure thing..." He looked at the paper. "Uzumaki Kyuubi. Oh, you are the future strongest Shinobi."

I jumped. "Yes! Finally someone knows!" I exclaimed.

"Kyuubi! C'mon!" Called Naruto with Sasuke and Sakura.

"Alright!" I shouted, running to them.

Anko announced that who ever took the scroll of the team goes to the gate. Me and my team went there and every other teams as well. I am ready and eager to start this. This will be an adventure no doubt!

I shifted my eyes and saw Kiba and Akamaru. I grinned. "KIBA!" I shouted, trying to run toward them but Naruto grabbed me, preventing me from going there. "Oi! Let me go to them!" I said.

Naruto was going to speak but he got interrupted by Akamaru's bark.

He was running toward me. Kiba was shocked, he couldnt get hin. "H-hey, Akamaru!" He called.

I stuck my tongue for Kiba and Akamaru jumped on me. "Heh! Heyy there Akama-Chan!" I said. "I sure hope you survive though. And please, protect Kiba at whatever it costs. Now go." I let him on the ground as he ran back to Kiba.

"Hey, Kyuubi. Is your ear alright?" Asked Sasuke.

I nodded. "Yeah. Its better now. I can hear but there is a bit of low volume." I said.

.....

.....

"Let the second Chunin Exam begin!" Said Anko. The gates opened and all teams ran inside in a speed including me and my team.

A/N

Well. There is no much to say... But all I want to show you is the famous Kyuubi grin. Or should I say... The Jiraiya smile! She smiles just like good ol' Jiraiya.
