You giggled as Mei lead the way to her house and M.k explained that her house was a mystery.

"Well mysteries are the best." You said with a smile in Mei's direction.

Mei offered a nervous smile in return.

"Aheh heh yeah, I guess." She agreed unenthusiastically.

"Mei, are you ok?" You asked tilting your head when the three of you arrived.

M.k's eyes filled with stars as he raced around the yards looking at everything. But mostly heading to the house.

"Yeah, I mean...it's just my parents and I...we don't always see eye to eye." She explained haltingly.

"Well. We will be super care-"

The sound of guns cocking and powering up caught your attention. Turning, you realized hundreds of guns were pointed at M.k as he stood at the front door.

Mei raced over and covered his mouth before he could say anything. She quickly keyed in a code and the guns vanished.

"Yeah my parents are kinda paranoid with the whole security thing." She explained as the door opened.

You three entered into a long hall with multiple pedestals showcasing many ancient objects. Each looked immensely valuable and clearly were not meant to be touched.

Atleast it has been clear to you. Not so much for M.k. Who attempted to touch everything. Instantly, you grabbed him and stopped him multiple times.

Mei led you two around the enormous mansion casually and you attempted to take in the splendor whilst also minding M.k.

Finally, Mei introduced you two to a room she didn't mind M.k touching things in. The arcade room.

"You two boot up the Ol t.v. I'll go get the S-S-S-Snacks!" Mei cheered before leaving.

M.k poked at an odd pinball machine.

"Duuuude I've always wanted to play on one of these." He gasped looking at it from every angle.

"Well I suppose Mei would be alright with that." You mused then jumped as your phone went off in your pocket.

M.k's head snapped up.

"Who's that?"

You fumbled with the phone once you realized it was Macaque.

"Uhm probably just a spam or something, didn't you want to play?"

M.k turned back to the machine and you stepped into the hall to answer your phone.

"Hello?"

"Kid, I thought I'd check in. How are things goin'?" Macaque asked. His tone sounded calm at first but you could hear the worry.

"Pretty standard. I'm doing ok." You replied.

"And my pow-Mmph!" Yor voice was muffled as someone covered your mouth with a gag and tugged you backwards.

You lost your footing and stumbled while they finished tying the gag then grabbed your arms.

"Kid?Kid! Talk to me!" Macaque's voice crackled over the phone after it clattered to the floor.

You grunted and attempted to fight the attacker off but they were much stronger and something on the gag seemed to suck away your energy.

Soon your attacker had you pinned on your stomach and tied your hands behind your back. And oh so slowly, the world faded to black.

Meanwhile

Macaque raced through the town as fast as he could to the dragon girl's mansion. He had to find y/n to see if she was safe. How could he be so stupid? Monkey King was a walking, talking target. Anyone who was even acquaintances with him had villains to answer to. And Y/n knew nothing about her powers.

"Of course she's the perfect target." He growled under his breath.

"Especially if someone is in need of a puppet." A woman's voice made him freeze mid-step.

Macaque looked into a darkened alleyway to see the lady bone demon smiling evilly at him.

"Where is she?" He demanded.

"Oh quite safe for now." The lady bone demon answered sweetly. "After all I need her alive. This time." She giggled as Macaque tensed.

"Let her go!" Macaque yelled lunging at her only for the lady bone demon to  vanish into mist.

"Oh how heartbreaking her loss was for you." Her voice lingered all around in the darkness.

Macaque glanced around guardedly.

"After all, you were too weak!"

Macaque yelled in pain as blue magic changed his vision to black and flickered betwixt his mind and reality.

"Gah! Get out of my head!"

"I see you're beginning to suspect what I already know." Lady bone demon's etched blue figure flickered In his gaze with an evil grin then vanished. "He could have saved her. She loved him, you know."

Macaque froze holding his head.

"And just before she died, she screamed for him."

Macaque felt something shove him from behind, sending him to his knees.

"You're lying!" He shouted shaking his head.

"You know I'm not." Lady bone demon replied sweetly. "Oh but this is a new life. A new chance."

Instantly, the pain vanished and Macaque looked up.

There stood lady bone demon with a pleasant grin on her features.

"A chance for her to be yours."

Macaque's eyes widened.

"W-what?"

Lady bone demon giggled.

"Her heart yearns for a love she's long since missed." She informed. "That love was your destiny. She was always destined to be yours. And all you need to do to receive it; is get me a few simple objects."

Macaque fell silent thinking for a few moments.

"And you won't hurt her?"

Lady bone demon smiled.

"Not if you help me. And once your task is finished I'll return her to you. I'll even ensure her love will be yours alone."

Macaque got to his feet with a determined frown.

"What objects do you need?"

Meanwhile

"What do you mean she's missing?!" Monkey King demanded.

M.k rubbed his arm with a guilty frown.

"She stepped out to take a call and then vanished. Mei and I looked everywhere. She isn't at home, she hasn't shown up to work, and she wasn't anywhere at Mei's house."

Monkey King frowned worriedly but sighed when he realized M.k couldn't look him in the eye.

"It'll be ok, bud. We'll find her." Monkey King ruffled his hair. "And we'll do it together."
