Olivia's POV

After putting sofia to bed I walked into my bedroom and got changed then laid in bed next to my husband and I asked him what he was thinking about all night. He said it was really nothing but I knew it had to be something because its like his mind was wandering all evening. Since its his birthday I didn't want to start an argument and it really could have been nothing. I laid next to him cuddled up in his arms and we fell asleep together

The next morning

I woke up early and made breakfast for sofia and elliot who joined me at the table, after breakfast we all got dressed and elliot and I took sofia to the playground not too far from our house. As I watched her play on the swing set elliot sat beside me and said we needed to talk. He then said "liv I ran into Kathy yesterday and she's what had me so distracted last night." I said "so all night you were thinking about your ex wife while you were with me?"

Elliot: I didn't mean it like that. When I saw Kathy she had a little girl with her who's about six or seven years old. She called me to talk and when I got there she said the little girl was mine. Its a possibility because we've been divorced for the past five years and before the divorce was finalized we both had to much to drink and ended up sleeping together. You and I got together a few weeks after that and she said she didn't tell me because she saw how happy I was with you and she didn't want to ruin it. A year after we got together you got pregnant and I was so happy to be a dad. She said she saw me with you at the doctors office and heard me smiling about it being a girl so she decided to keep her daughter to herself because I had my chance at having a daughter with you. She said the little girl started asking questions and she thought it was time I knew

Wow! That's a lot to deal with. Do you think she's yours?

Elliot: I don't know. I know its a possibility she could be mine and yesterday I took her with me for a DNA test to be sure. Kathy wouldn't lie about this. How do you feel about the situation?

Its not a good situation to be honest but if she turns out to be yours then I expect you to take care of her like you do with Sofia and I will do the same. I won't discourage you from taking care of your child because she's not mine

Elliot: I'm picking up the results later and Kathy wants to meet with both of us so I invited her over for dinner if that's ok with you

Its fine, I hope there won't be any problems with custody because the last thing I need in my life is stress, I get enough of that from my job

Elliot: she said she's willing to co-parent so there shouldn't be any issues. Liv your phone's been ringing all morning and its work calling

I must have accidentally put it on silent last night. I need to go in, do you mind staying with sofia today?

Elliot: I'm not busy so go on. I gave him a kiss and got in the car and drove down to the precinct where I went to speak with my officers. Fin told me there was a kidnapping early this morning but they found the kid and suspect an hour ago so they had it under control. At least I knew they could handle things without me. I sat beside fin at his desk as he briefed me on the details of the case when the scent of his breakfast burrito made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't hold it in anymore so I started throwing up in the trash can beside his desk feeling like crap

Nick: you ok Sargent Benson?

I'm fine. I'm going to take out this trash and finish look over these reports in my office

Nick: I'll get rid of the trash for you

Thanks, I'm going down the street for a minute, I'll be right back. I left the office and went to the pharmacy where I bought two first response pregnancy tests and I went into the bathroom in my office to take them. After waiting ten minutes which felt like an eternity both tests were positive and it couldn't be at a worse time for me. The tests said I was 4 to 5 weeks pregnant so I guess spofia would be getting a little brother or sister after all. I put the tests in my bag then laid down on the couch in my office when ADA Rafael barba came in interrupting my thoughts

ADA Barba: I'm sorry if I've interrupted your midday nap

I was just thinking. My morning hasn't been the best so far and I take it its about to get worse

ADA Barba: not necessarily. The jury found Gregory Matthews guilty on all charges and since you weren't present for reasons unknown I thought you'd want to know

I found out that I have a step daughter this morning and a few minutes ago I found put that I'm pregnant so that explains all the nausea I've been having these past few weeks

ADA Barba: I'd say congratulations but you don't deem thrilled about either situation

I'm ok with the step daughter part of this situation but things have been so complicated for me and its not the best time for another baby but I'm still happy either way even though I feel like crap

ADA Barba: I think your already a great mother so this next kid is a lucky one and you'll be a great step mom to whoever the child may be. Olivia you have nothing to worry about, you'll be great at this. Your a natural at it because you a good person with a kind heart

Thank you, I think all I needed was to talk to a friend. I feel so much better now
