Present me: I wanna add that they all went to college after highschool

The Carnival. A place full of wonder, laughter, and sometimes love. Today was your 4 year anniversary dating Denki Kaminari. He took you to the place he asked you out. Here's how it went.

Flashback

It was summer vacation, finally. You and your friends had just graduated U.A and wanted to hang out before stressing about college and the whole hassle of going off as young adults. One your besties, Uraraka, suggested that you all went to the Carnival. Of course you all agreed to go and with all the excitement, it just made you all impatient. You settled on a day, a Friday to be exact. Momo promised all of you premium tickets so you all could go on as many rides as you want. This day was gonna become a core memory and you didn't even realize it yet.

The day finally came for your group trip to the carnival. You spent almost an hour fishing for clothing items you should have had ready the night before. You put together an decent outfit, grabbed your phone, keys, and wallet, then headed out the door. Mina said she would pick you guys all up. You knew she was near because you heard music playing from all the way down the block. Instantly you recognized the song, it was F/S by F/A. Even more ecstatic you climbed into the passenger seat, then you and Mina speed off down the road to pick up  the others. 

After picking everyone up, you all decided to get a little something to eat before heading to the carnival. Starbucks was closest so, why not. You all got your drinks and went back into the car, "Oh shit I forgot my wallet." You said. "I'll be right back wait here." You rushed out the door and back inside. You were to focused on your wallet that you didn't look at where you were going and you bumped into someone. The funny thing is that the person was wearing a bright yellow shirt. So how could you have possibly not seem them? "I'm so so so sorry sir. I wasn't loo- Denki?" He turned around and his face immediately lit up. 

"Y/N! What are you doing here?" He asked

"Oh, well stupid dummy over here left their wallet so I'm back."

"Oh, I just saw a wallet, I recognized it was yours so I picked it up, plus I saw you guys outside in Mina's car, so I figured you'd be back." He said holding up your wallet.

"Ah, I'm so glad you found it and not some creepy old man! Thanks sparks!"

Sparks...

The first nickname you've called him. It made his stomach tight, his heart light, his body weak. He's always had a thing for flirting with other girls and sometimes guys, in your case, people. But with you, all his confidence shot out the window. He fell weak at the knees, and his mouth, dry. He felt like he could be himself and actually talk to you, have a conversation with you. And it was only you. Did he genuinely like someone? 

His mind was running laps.

"Ah, I'm so glad you found it an and not some creepy old man! Thanks sparks!"

"Y-yeah, no problem Y/N!" I'd do anything for you...

You and all your friends pulled up to the carnival and started hopping from ride to ride. One of the rides you were specifically waiting for had a long line. Mina was chattin' it up with the other girls and you were kind of  lost in thought. Something in your mind told you to turn around so you did. You spotted a familiar yellow haired person and excused yourself from Mina and the others. "Wait right here, I'll be right back." You said. You approached him slowly and he spotted you and waved you over. 

"Hey denki, what a coincidence." 

"Or maybe fate? You never know." He added. 

"Fate sounds about right too. Anyways are you here with someone or... did you come alone?" 

Denki kind of looked down embarrassed, he had a slight blush on his cheeks. You though it was cute. 

"Well I asked the guys buy they all said they were all busy. I still wanted to go so I went by myself. It's kinda pathetic right?"

You thought for a minute then an idea popped in your head.

"Can you excuse me, I'll be right back." You said, then you rushed away. You went to Mina to state your Idea.

"Hey Mina Ca-"

"Yes."

"Huh? I didn't even ask the question yet. How do you know what I as gonna say?"

"Well, I saw you and Denki talking so I took a wild guess you were gonna ask if you could hang with him, you know, since he was alone. But you don't want to hang out because he's alone but, because you like him and you wanna spend time with him."

You took a moment to gather all the information she had just dumped on you. I was quite surprising how accurate she had been. 

"That's scarily accurate Mina, what the actual fuck. How did you- I could've asked you to sign over your bank account and you just straight up said yes. Anyways, yeah, I wanna hang out with him."

"See, I'm never wrong. And no, you cannot have my bank account- what. Anyways, go, go get your mans." I laughed a bit then ran off to find Denki again.

"I'm back." I said "Now, Lets go to a ride that doesn't have that many people. I'm bored just waiting here." You said as you began to drag him through the crows of people. It seemed since it was now summer all the lines were long. Well, except for one. The Ferris Wheel. You very much so enjoyed the Ferris Wheel, the view of the entire park and sunset takes your breath away every time. But this time would be different, you would be going on WITH someone. And it's not just a someone, It's Denki. The person you've liked since highschool. He as always trying to pick up every single girl, and even a couple guys. All except you. Maybe he didn't like you like that but, at least you were still very close friends. 

Friends, is that all?

"We can go on the Ferris Wheel. It has the shortest line at the moment. Plus I just love the view." You said. He flashes you the sweetest smile, you can practically feel your insides melting. That smile almost instantly hypnotizes you every time. "sure, Y/N, anything for you." 

Anything, for me? Am I dreaming?

"Then let's go!" You say eagerly. You continue to drag him through the crowds, dipping and dodging pass people. Once you reached the Ferris Wheel, the person operating it instantly let you on. You two were the only ones on line so, it made sense. You guys climbed into one of the baskets opposite ends of each other and closed the mini door. The guy started up the ride and you two took off. Once up in the air you were on the edge of your seat, literally, you wanted to see the view as you normally do. Denki, on the other hand, was just admiring you. Seeing you so happy made him happy too. You were getting a little to close to the edge, almost losing your balance. Denki noticed and tried to reach out to you but the ride hit a sudden bump sending the both of you to the floor of the basket. He braced yourself for a hard landing but was surprised when it didn't hurt that much. You turned over onto your stomach only to be face to face with Denki. You immediately scramble to your feet.

"I'M SORRY!" You yell. The only thing he did was laugh. Well lucky for you, the embarrassment died down quick. His laugh was contagious and you started laughing too. 

"It's funny when you apologize. And your laugh is cute too, I bet I'd see it more if you went out with m." He said through laughs, yet to realize what he just said.

"Yeah- wait... What?"

"Huh?" He said.

"If I go out with you?" You repeat.

Denki's face turns three different shades of red in the span of three seconds. Still on the floor, he makes his way to the seat.

"I uh, well, only if you want too. I- ...I'm used to people saying no so, if you don't want to I-"

"Yes."

"What?"

"Yes, I will go out with you."

He looks at you stunned, Little bolts of electricity float around his body and disappear around his head. You can tell he's more than happy. 

"You mean it? You're not joking?" He asks with so much hope in his voice.

"Yes sparks, I mean it."

"Wow. Really?" He asked again. You just nod with a smile as a reply

"Wow." He says again. 

You take a seat next to him and grabbed his hand. You interlocked your fingers with his, and placed your head gently on his shoulder. He rests his head on yours too. The both of you enjoy the rest of the ride, but more importantly, enjoyed each other's company.
