Jin Ling was ofcourse in great danger. He closed his fist and made an attempt to jab that little Sea Dragon but to no avail. Above that, it fueled the rage of that creature. It roared right on Jin Ling's face!

Bad move. He cursed in his mind.

Jin Ye jumped down from the tree and lashed at the sea monster from behind. The creature whiped its tail in an attempt to poison him. Jin Ye wasn't slow, he easily douched it. But little did he know that it was just a distraction.

That little sea monster changed the course if it's tail in reverse and slashed on Jin Ye's right leg. The blood oozed out if his flesh at once.

"Jin Ye!" Sangze shouted, "Don't be reckless. Come back!"

But he was a stubborn man. He ignored the warning of Sangze and still walked towards it. When he started to walk, he realised that he wasn't able to. His right leg was paralysed and the veins were slowly turning black.

"Don't move." Jin Ling warned, "I'll handle it."

When that sea dragon was busy with Jin Ye, Jin Ling grabbed the opportunity to reach for his sword and stood up.

"Take him back and check how's his condition." He ordered.

"Yes Sect Leader." the other disciples responded. Two of them jumped in and took him back.

Jin Ling swayed his sword up high and lunged on that sea dragon but it doched. Another disciple joined in to help him.

Even with two of them together the battle was tough. No wonder that sea monster was able to kill so many. But it was still a child. It can't be true that it killed everyone alone. Was there another sea dragon here? Or was this little creature this tought?

After a while, the two of them sure got upper hand in the battle. That disciple was about to land a final strike on the sea dragon but with clank his sword went flying in the air.

"What are you doing?!" He said.

"He's already so weak." Sangze replied.

"But it has killed many people. If we don't kill it now, it'll kill more people in the future!" He shouted on top of his throat.

"But it killed to survive!" Sangze said with a stern voice.

"So" Jin Ling interfered, "You're the one who killed other disciples of our clan. Am I right?"

Sangze's expression froze. He dropped to her knees at once, "S-sect Leader... I"

"Did you?" Jin Ling'a eyes were as sharp as his sword Suihua.

"I... I didn't want to... B-but.."

"You traitor!" The male disciple shouted at her.

" LiYan be quite." Jin Ling said

"But- yes sect leader." Jin LiYan, the male disciple who helped Jin Ling to fight with the sea monster replied.

Jin Ling placed his sword's tip right in front of her throat, "You know you have committed crimes?"

Sangze closed her eyes, "Yes Sect Leader."

He frowned. He was about to speak when the sea dragon opened its eyes and lashed its tail at him. Thankfully it didn't attacked with the tip of its tail which was poisonous.

It was more ferocious than before. Earlier it didn't had high intent to kill. But now, it was denser than the salt in sea. It was as if, it wanted to hunt them down and eat them without leaving a bone behind.

It lunged at Jin Ling.

This time Jin Ling was really helpless. Neither his sword nor his comrades were with him. LiYan was already knocked out when it attacked him and Sangze just kneeled the position she was before without uttering a word.

Mom, dad I guess I'm coming to see yo-

The sentence in his mind wasn't even finished yet when an arrow flew past his ear and penetrated that sea dragon's tongue. It howled in pain.

Sangze turned her head up and Jin Ling turned hia head back to look at the person with such brilliant archery skills.

His eyes widened at once. Two figures in white flying on their sword in the air, while their forehead ribbon fluttered nonstop.

Shizui was holding a bow with his one arm, while the other one was taking out another arrow from the quiver on his back. Behind him was Jingyi who was waving his hand in the air, "HOIIII JIN LINGGG!!!"

"..."

Shizui shot another arrow. Sangze got up at once and cut the arrow into two with her sword right before it reached Sea Dragon.

Shizui raised his eyebrows.

Jingyi said, "Huh?? Aren't we supposed to kill it?"

Shizui replied, "I guess we aren't. But we can't leave it like that."

Both of them nodded at each with a mutual understanding and flew towards the creature.

They brought their index finger and middle finger if right hand before their lips, "Sword formation!"

A star shaped patten encircled the sea dragon and azure light reflected from it. That poor creature didn't even had any time to escape before it was trapped in a spiritual cage that only Lan disciples knew how to break.

"Raku!" Sangze shouted.

"Raku... I see."

Sangze was so engrossed in protecting the Sea Dragon that she forgot that right now she was standing in front of Jin Ling. A chill ran down her spine as she looked at the Sect Leader of her clan.

"Jin Sangze we'll have to hear your words in prison." Jin Ling firmly said while cast a spell. Sangze's hand got tied with spiritual handcuffs.

She drooped his head, "Yes... Sect Leader."

Jin Ling went to pick up LiYan who had been knocked out earlier. He was about to carry him when Jingyi interrupted, "Won't you even say 'hi'?"

Jin Ling looked at him, "Hi."

Shizui walked towards him and instead carried LiYan. He said before smiling, "Hello Jin Ling."

Jin Ling's heart skipped a beat, "H-hello!" He took a deep breath then continued with normal tone, "You don't have to carry him."

"Its fine." Shizui replied.

Suddenly they heard someone from a distance, "Sect Leader!!!"

All of them looked at the source of the voice. It was the reinforce, they were flying on their sword. They must have been called by the disciple who had left earlier.

Shizui said, "It looks like there's no need for me to carry him."

The new disciples who arrived took LiYan, Sangze and Sea Dragon. They carried LiYan to a physician, escirted Sangze to prison and suppressed Sea Dragon in spiritual dungeon. And also collected the remaining corpse.

They had suggested to take Jin Ling with them as well. But instead he said, "I've an important meeting with the high tier disciple of GusuLan sect. So, I won't be able to come now. I'll come by walking."

Even though the disciples were confused because the meeting could be done in Koi tower. But he was the Sect Leader. Who would dare defy him for such a minor reason.

While walked down the mountain, Jingyi without noticing started to walk five feets apart from them. But before that he didn't forget to elbow Shizui. Shizui only sideways glanced at him and lightly nodded.

Shizui opened his mouth to say something but before that Jin Ling spoke, "Thank you."

"Huh?!" Shizui was taken aback as this 'thankyou' so suddenly came out of nowhere.

Jin Ling said, "Thankyou for saving me earlier."

"Ahh.." Shizui awkwardly smiled, "You don't have to thank me for that."

"Mn mh" Jin Ling shook his head, "Someone once said me that no matter what, there are these two phrases that should never be left unsaid."

Shizui looked at him and continued for him, "Sorry and thankyou..."

JinLing was startled that he knew already knew about it. But then he realised Ofcourse how wouldn't he know. He lives with him.

But to his surprise Shizui further said, "This was said by my aunt. These were her last words that I heard."

"Ah uh... I see." Jin Ling said while scratching his nape. At the same time he glanced at Shizui. He was surprised by the expression. He had an unfathomable smile but someone it gave off a sad vibe.

Earlier Shizui had said that those were his aunt's last words, that means she's no longer.

Shoot!

In no way Jin Ling wanted Shizui to feel sad because of his past. Thus, he hurried changed the topic, "So.. Why did you came to Phoenix mountain? I mean the information about killing here wasn't leaked."

"Huh?!" Shizui was startled by a sudden drastic change of topic.

He said, "Well... That was because I..." He stared at Jin Ling.

Jin Ling was also looking at him with a sudden eye contact, he blushed if though he didn't wanted to.

"Because I... I... I mean..." Shizui was till continuing with his 'I's.

"You... what?" Jin Ling arched his eyebrows up high.

"W-well.. I mean- you know, wait- I actually... You know what? I mean that- umm j-just wait." Shizui was speaking something that he himself didn't understand.

"Speak clearly!"

Now Shizui was getting red, "I mean, listen, I actually- wait- what am I doing? Listen!"

"Yeah! I'm listening!"

"So, I actually..." Shizui suddenly turned around and ran back, "Jingyi!!!"

"Huh?" Jin Ling was left in perplexed state, "Wait. Shizui?"
