This was requested by @LovetaleFrisk , so enjoy!😁 Oh, and by the way, this takes place near Christmas time because guess what? Today's December 1st!😆

Two people were walking together, chatting along the way. It was a lovely, rather chilly winter evening; an exquisite light orange tinting the skies.

There was a pretty young girl who had raven black hair with a blue shine, and bright, friendly blue eyes.

Her name was Marinette. (Aka the super heroine Ladybug.)

Then there was a boy her age walking with her. He had sunshine golden hair and  soft, summer green eyes.

His name was Adrien. (Aka Ladybug's partner, Chat Noir.)

However, they did not know each other's identities.

"Marinette?"

"Y-yes, Adrien?" She said, rather startled for no apparent reason.

"I need to ask you something," he stated, seeming a bit nervous about what he was about to ask her.

"Go ahead," she said as she smiled warmly.

Before, Marinette would stutter hopelessly in front of Adrien. Why? She had the most major crush on him, and she still does. But, lately they've spent more time together, so she's gotten more comfortable being around him while not blushing and stuttering like crazy.

"I was wondering what you were doing for Christmas. My father isn't and won't be doing anything with me this year, so I was wondering if I could spend it with you...?"

Adrien really liked Marinette, but only as a friend--- his heart was stolen by Ladybug. He enjoyed spending time with Mari and getting to know her. She was just so kind hearted, smart, and just a really good friend.

"Oh, sure you can! My parents love you, so I'm sure they won't mind," she answered excitedly.

Adrien grinned happily. "Awesome!"

"I finally have someone to be around with this Christmas that isn't always complaining for cheese," he thought to himself.

And they both began to talk until it became nearly dark outside. The sun was almost fully hidden from the sky, and the stars were just starting to become visable.

"Oh, it's getting late... and colder. I'll guess I'll see you later then?" Marinette said as she shivered a little.

"I guess so. Bye Mari!"

And then they parted ways, both heading back to their homes.

But, little did they know that Christmas would definitely be one they'd never forget.

On Christmas Eve...

"Adrien? Can you put the star on top of the tree, please?"

"Of course!"

He took the charming, golden star and placed it on top of the gorgeously decorated tree.

"Perfect!" They said in unison. When they did, they looked at each other and giggled.

There was a long pause of silence between them as they admired the tree.

"Um... Adrien?"

He turned his head to look at her. "Yes?"

"If I asked you any question in the world, you would answer it 100% truthfully, right?"

He was puzzled to why she'd ask him that, but he trusted her.

"Yes, I would."

"We'll, I have something to ask-"

Suddenly, two people burst in through the bakery doors, exclaiming in sync, "Hello Adrien and Marinette!"

Marinette's parents, Tom and Sabine, were back from shopping for some ingredients they needed. They knew Adrien would be with them this Christmas, but they extremely excited that him and Mari were "together."

"Merry Christmas, maman and papa!"

"Merry Christmas, Mr. & Mrs. Dupain Cheng!"

Tom and Sabine smiled at the two, returning the greeting.

"We got some ingredients to make Christmas cookies! Do you want to make some, dears?"

Mari and Adrien both perked up. "Yes!"

She chuckled at their little antics and gave them the ingredients. Then, the two eagerly ran into the kitchen to get started making the cookies ASAP.

Let's just say, it got pretty messy...

"Aahh!! Adrien, why'd you do that for?!"

"To see your reaction," he said slyly.

Mari then picked up a package of green frosting and squirted it at his face.

They started laughing hysterically.

"I guess I deserve that," Adrien admitted. He then licked some frosting off his finger. "Tasty."

Mari giggled a bit.

And it got worse from there, but they eventually made and baked the cookies.

It was now 1 hour till midnight, which at that time would be Christmas Day. Marinette and Adrien agreed to stay up past midnight, challenging who could stay up the longest.

Later...

"What does a sheep with no Christmas spirit say?" Adrien questioned.

"I don't know, what?" Mari answered.

"Baaaaaaaaa humbug!"

They started laughing again for the hundredth time tonight.

Marinette glanced at the clock on her computer.

It was 15 minutes till midnight.

She suddenly remembered something...

She had to tell him. She had to confess. It was now or never. (Not to mention confessing to him on Christmas was a romantic idea...)

"Um, Adrien? Remember earlier today when I had to ask you something, but I was cut off by my parents?"

"Yeah, what was your question?"

"Well, I was w-wondering..."

He gave her a look, inquiring her to carry on.

"I-if you'd... like a cookie?!?!" She stammered.

He raised an eyebrow, knowing that's not what she meant to say.

"Come on Marinette, I know that's not what you wanted to ask me."

She looked at him, embarrassment and fear in her eyes.

She then sighed deeply.

"Just do it, at least you can still be friends with him if he rejects you," she thought to herself.

"Adrien, I love you. I've had this biggest crush on you ever since the first day of school. You're kind, friendly, thoughtful, funny, smart, and so much more. You are so good to me and everyone else; you have a kind heart. And please, don't let my feelings ruin our friendship... I just wanted to get this off my chest."

Adrien stared at her, shocked of what she said. He was expecting a deep question; she was acting so nervous before. But he was definitely not expecting a confession from her.

"Take take this personally, but..."

Mari's heart sank, even though she knew what his answer would be.

"...I love someone else."

She smiled lightly.

"That's okay. I just wanted to get it off my chest anyways. But, I'm going to go downstairs real quick. I need to get something."

Adrien was skeptical at first, but then nodded.

"She probably just needs some alone time. I really hate to break her heart like that, but Ladybug has my heart tooken 100%," he said to himself in his thoughts.

But he was wrong. She wasn't going downstairs to get something.

She transformed into Ladybug and took off into the night, her face getting  cold from the frigid air.

She landed on top of the Eiffel Tower, looking down towards the people hundreds of feet below.

"People of Paris!" She announced loudly.

Everyone on the ground turned their head.

Nadia Chamack exclaimed to her cameraman to start filming. (She's always where Ladybug is so she can get a scoop.)

Meanwhile with Adrien, he was worried about Marinette. She hadn't returned in almost 10 minutes, and it was nearly midnight.

He went downstairs to see Tom and Sabine sitting on the couch together, watching the news.

Ladybug was on screen.

"People of Paris! I am no longer capable of being one of your heroes. I am surrendering my duties today... right now. Tikki, spots off."

The whole world shook.

Ladybug was Marinette.

"Au revoir, Paris. Merry Christmas..."

And as the clock stoked 12, Marinette jumped of the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Adrien gasped. "NOOOO!!"

But it was too late.

She was gone.

His love was gone.

Forever...

10 years after the death of Ladybug/ Marinette...

Adrien was walking hand in hand with his wife, Lila.

He finally grew to fall in love with her, even more than Ladybug.

It was a happy ending for everyone.

Well, almost everyone...

Don't get mad at me. This was requested.
