hello reader and welcome back to another episode of misfits of hayloft, todays episode picks up the day after the last one, i'd say its been about a week since the boys have moved to hayloft, chase gets home from work at 5:30 PM to see his friends getting ready to leave.

chase: i'm home, what are you guys doing?

aiden: well we WANTED to go to the mall, but blue and rocky refuse to get up from the couch

blue: just wait! me and rocky need five more minutes!

blue and rocky sit in the living room playing an old school video game together, it seems like they've been at it a while and are almost at the end, when suddenly the tv cuts to black as they see chase through the reflection of the screen.

blue: what the heck chase! why did you unplug it?!

rocky: chaseeeee c'mon man we were almost at the end!

aiden: you said that 30 minutes ago...

blue: i guess he has a point, let's go rocky

rocky: but-

chase: guys come on! if we wanna get to the mall we gotta go now, it closes at 8.

rocky: fine, but when we come home i'm beating that game!

as the boys leave they're apartment and make they're way to the bus stop aiden questions if anyone had spoken to danny after the casino incident.

aiden: has anyone heard from danny after lastnight?

chase: i don't think any of us have his number

aiden: you think he's still mad at us?

blue: i mean... we did pay him back so i don't see why he would be mad

rocky: yeah but it was only around half of what we owe

chase: if it were up to me i would have kept it, just saying.

aiden: well we could've got in a lot of trouble if we got caught with that money

chase: oh come on aiden your the king of trouble

the boys get on a bus and make it to the mall, upon entering they discuss what they wanna do first, but chase begins to zone out remembering the strange man he found in the casino lastnight, he doesn't think for long before aiden interrupts his thought process.

aiden: chase what do you think?

chase: what? sorry i wasn't listening

aiden: well thats rude, i was asking if we could go to the food court first!

chase: don't you wanna wait? why not walk around and shop first?

aiden: but i'm so hungry!

chase: we literally just got here, plus we only have a couple hours before it closes

blue: please chase? i'm hungry too, it'll only be 10 minutes at the food court

rocky: yeah come on! i'm starving

aiden: what...?

chase: wait rocky you could eat this whole time!?

rocky: nope, i just wanted to be involved.

chase reluctantly agrees to go to the food court even with the mall closing soon, he figured they wouldn't eat a lot, but before he can think twice the table is already covered with food.

chase: was this much really necessary for four people? one of us can't even eat!

rocky: i'm trying man! its harder then it looks!

blue: why didn't you order anything chase?

chase: eh, i'm not really hungry

blue: if you aren't gonna eat then why don't you go shop around? we'll catch up later

chase: yeah i might go and do that, i guess just call me when you guys are done

rocky: your gonna leave without saying hi to your secret admirer?

chase: what?

rocky: there's a girl over there by the shoe store, she's been looking at you since we got here

chase looks around and spots a familiar looking girl with white hair wearing black leggings, a light blue sweater, and white boots, when chase looks at her she quickly turns her head the other way.

chase: the girl with white hair?

rocky: that's the one

blue: dude that girl over there has been STARING at you

aiden: am i the only one who didn't notice?

chase: i think i know her, i ran into her at work, why didn't you guys say anything sooner?

blue: i honestly thought she was staring because of the table, but nope she's looking right at chase

rocky: i was just waiting to see if you would notice

aiden: ouuu someone's got a stalker!

chase: aiden if you keep talking that loud...

aiden: what? i didn't do anything! but i do think that YOU should do something.

chase: like what?

aiden: talk to her! she knows you seen her looking at you, it would be weird if you just let it go

chase: i mean... yeah maybe your right, i'm gonna go see what her deal is, i'll be back

chase gets up to confront the girl with white hair, aiden gets up wanting to look out for chase but blue puts his hand on aidens shoulder and shakes his head, signaling to let chase take care of it himself.

chase: hey.

girl: hi.

chase: haven't we met before? i noticed you looking at me in the food court.

girl: have we? i just thought you were cute

chase: well wai- i mean thanks but-

girl: oh i remember you! you work in the corner store on 27th street right?

chase: yeah that's me, i'm chase.

girl: i'm kya, sorry if i gave the wrong impression, i just thought you were pretty thats all.

chase: don't worry about it, i think your pretty too.

kya: how forward of you chase! if you keep it up you might make me blush

chase: was i too forward? i didn't mean for it to come out wrong

kya: when your talking to me forward is good, on that note do you wanna walk with me?

chase: oh, well i'm not sure, my friends are kinda waiting on me

kya: oh? thats too bad, i would have loved shopping around with you, i was in the market for a cute boy anyway.

chase thinks for a moment, he's been feeling a little neglected lately, what with working on the other side of town coupled with aiden being gone most nights, he decides to take her up on the offer.

chase: eh what the heck, they'll be fine without me

kya: atta boy, well then come on!

kya grabs chases hand running through the mall together, chase begins to blush a little seeing as kya is so forward, as they walk around going store to store more and more people begin to leave the mall.

chase: so kya, have you lived in the city long?

kya: born and raised! what about you?

chase: ohh yeah, i've been here a while now, even seen the city change over night

kya: you've only been here a week haven't you?

chase: what?! no, you got it all wrong, TOMORROW i'll have been here a week.

kya and chase begin to laugh while entering a jewelry store, chase looks around for a moment and quickly notices its all designer, one bracelet is more then what his family pay a month for they're house, he feels out of place, but something about the jewelry he was looking at was so eye catching.

kya: oh chase look! you see this necklace?

chase: the snowflake?

kya: thats the one, i've been wanting it since forever!

chase: why don't you buy it?

kya: its a little out of my budget right now, but one day i'll get it, is there anything here that you like?

chase: i'm not really a necklace guy.

kya had always been good at reading people, something she would later realize she shared with chase, that being said she noticed chase had been glancing over at an expensive diamond ring since they walked into the store.

kya: what about a ring?

chase: a ring?

kya: i noticed you looking at that diamond ring since we walked in, why don't you get it?

chase: well my budget is a bit limited too, i'd love to have something like that but i can't afford it.

kya: hmm, excuse me sir?

cashier: yes young lady?

kya: i just loved those gold hoops behind the counter, could you see if you have them in silver?

cashier: silver? i doubt it, but i can definitely check for you!

kya: thank you so much sir!

as the cashier turns away to check in the back kya quickly puts the same snowflake necklace she wanted over her head and around her neck, to the surprise of chase.

chase: kya? what are you doing?!

kya: shh! i'm showing you how to get what you want when your on a budget!

chase: are we really doing this right now?

kya: i don't see what the big deal is, i could get you the ring you wanted too.

chase: huh?

kya: come on, this guy has so many gold pieces he wouldn't even notice it was gone.

chase: well...

kya: i'm not forcing you i'm only talking out loud

chase: its tempting... but i gotta pass, i moved to hayloft to stay out of trouble, not make more of it

kya: suit yourself, i don't think you need the ring anyway, your already handsome

chase: yeah, thanks.

chase and kya leave the store, as the boys finish up they're food, almost no one is left in the mall, but suddenly a voice over the intercom requests that blue draco come to the service desk, that he had won a prize.

aiden: is that intercom talking about you blue?

blue: well i don't think anyone else would have the name blue, but i don't remember entering anything

rocky: that voice sounds familiar...

aiden: you hear it too? i thought it was just me, you think its a scam?

blue: i guess there's only one way to find out

rocky: wait, i'll go with you, i wanna see who that voice belongs to.

aiden: yeah you guys go ahead, i gotta use the bathroom, i'll meet you guys there

the boys begin to walk toward the service desk on the other side of the building, as chase and kya enter a ferris wheel that had been stationed in the middle of the mall, with nobody in the mall except them, things begin to get strange.

kya: is this your first time on a ferris wheel?

chase: not really, my parents always used to take me to the fair when i was a kid, i love ferris wheels.

kya: it looks like everyone left the mall, its probably gonna close soon

chase: aw, does that mean you have to go?

kya: unfortunately, but why don't you take down my number?

chase: sure, let me just grab my phone.

as chase reaches for his phone the ferris wheel comes to a sudden stop, the pair seem stuck at the top with a beautiful view of the stars at night through the skylight.

chase: huh? what happened?

kya: it stopped, but why?

chase: i don't know, maybe because we're the only ones here?

kya: thats a bit cliché don't you think?

chase: what other reason is there?

kya: i guess it isn't all bad, oh chase! look up! we have a perfect view of the stars!

chase: oh wow, i guess that is pretty nice

kya: thats not something you see every day

chase: yeah, its really beautiful...

the moment seems perfect, with everything aligned chase has never felt so at peace, but to his surprise kya tries to kiss him, and he politely declines.

kya: oh my god i'm sorry, its just, the moment and everything

chase: no no! don't be sorry! it's not that i don't want to, its just, we only met an hour ago and we should probably find out what happened to the ferris wheel

kya: right! i'm sorry, i don't know what came over me, i'm really sorry chase.

chase: its okay, but i don't think anyone is coming after us

kya: yeah, i think we're the only people left in the mall...

chase: yeah, just us...

the two grow quiet, and chase feeling something that he's never felt before reacts in a way he was unfamiliar with, chase at kya in the moonlight, she looked beautiful, he slowly reached his hand to her chin and turned her face toward him, and they kissed...

kya: oh wow!

chase: i'm sorry if i made you feel uncomfortable, i know we only met today, but-

kya: you didn't make me uncomfortable chase, i think your really sweet.

chase: i'm so used to hating everyone, but for some reason i don't hate you

kya: hehe, i don't hate you either chase.

cutting back to the others, aiden is seen washing his hands in the bathroom, as he goes to dry his hands he notices they have no paper towels, and only a hand drying machine.

aiden: bleh, i hate these things...

on the other side of the restroom a shadowy figure approaches the door, the figure shoots a controlled line of blue flames melting the door to the hinges, and trapping aiden inside.

aiden: what? hello?

aiden attempts to open the door to no avail.

aiden: hello! really funny guys!! the mall is gonna close and you lock me in a bathroom?!

aiden punches the door and attempts to break it down with his shoulder, again to no avail.

aiden: what the hell! chase! blue! let me out! GUYS!!

switching over to rocky and blue, we see them standing by the service desk, as blue rings a bell waiting for someone to come by, rocky stares off into space.

blue: ding ding ding! helloooo? i was told i won a prize!

rocky: i don't think anyone's coming blue...

blue: this is totally false advertisement! why would they say i won a prize but no one is even here??

rocky: i think the mall closed on us dude, i haven't seen anyone in a while

blue: this isn't fair, why isn't anyone showing up? and where did chase go?!

as rocky stares off he notices a dark figure sneaking around very quickly, rocky gets shocked and begins to panic.

rocky: what? blue! did you see that?! i think someone is-

before rocky can finish his sentence a metal caged door quickly slams shut, trapping the boys inside the service desk.

blue: what?! rocky what happened?!?

rocky: i don't know! what do we do?!

blue: phase through the bars! go get help!

rocky: okay got it! stay here! i'll be right back!

blue: as if i have any choice...

back to aiden, he paces back and forth around the restroom, desperately trying to figure out an exit before he panics.

aiden: why would they do this? how am i supposed to get out of here...

he notices an airvent in the ceiling, left with no other option, he knows what he has to do.

aiden: oh come on, really? ...i guess i'm doing this.

rocky quickly phases through the caged door and floats through the mall with speed and accuracy, he doesn't realize it, but he's flying through the mall trying to catch up with the dark figure.

rocky: hey! stop! who are you?!

the dark figure doesn't speak, rocky chases him into a shoe store, just when he has him cornered aiden falls through the ceiling and lands on rocky.

rocky: ow! aiden?!

aiden: hello my dear sweet cousin how are you toda- who THE HELL IS THAT?!

rocky: don't let him get away!

the figure exits the store through an emergency hallway, rocky and aiden follow in pursuit with aiden swinging by his recoils and rocky flying through the air.

aiden: rocky who is this guy?!

rocky: i don't know! but he captured me and blue!

aiden: whoever he is he's fast!

rocky: i know! we gotta- AIDEN LOOK OUT!!

as the duo gets closer the dark figure turns around and hurls a large blast of blue fire that the boys narrowly dodge, aiden and rocky are left speechless.

aiden: oh my god...

rocky: no fucking way.

aiden: we can't think about it now, we gotta take this guy down!

the boys run through the hallway and end up near the ferris wheel, it seems they've lost the dark figure.

rocky: where did he go?!

aiden: he's gone, and that was intense, i'm kinda thirsty!

rocky: you know who that was right?!

aiden: i know, for once, i remember.

rocky: why here?! why now??

aiden: i don't know! but if that guy is here we gotta find the others.

rocky: this is bad, this is SOOO BAD!

aiden: rocky calm down man, i don't like it either but we have to focus.

rocky feels so overwhelmed he begins to float to the ceiling, as aiden mutters to himself rocky wipes his face with a feeling of fear and disgust.

aiden: we gotta find blue and chase, but i need you to come down here!

rocky: i can't help it! the guy that almost murdered me is loose in the mall! what next?!

as rocky floats higher he reaches the top of the ferris wheel, he slowly turns around to see chase and kya kissing at the top, they're faces turn red as they all scream.

rocky: AHHH!!!

kya and chase: AAAAHHHHH!!!

rocky loses focus and drops to the floor.

aiden: what?! what happened?!

rocky: its chase!

aiden: WHAT HAPPENED TO CHASE?!?

rocky: he's kissing a girl up there!!

aiden: ...what ?

aiden and rocky look to the top of the ferris wheel to see chase and kya peaking they're heads down at them.

chase: hi aiden...

aiden: hi chase.

the boys help kya and chase get down, but don't have much time for talking before they hear blue screaming.

blue: GUYS! HELP ME!!

rocky: hang on!

aiden: we're talking about this later chase!

chase: yippiee...

the boys and kya all reach blue at the service desk, as he proceeds to yell at them thinking they had forgotten about him.

blue: where were you guys?!

rocky: me and aiden were chasing a dangerous person!

aiden: and these two were smooching

chase: AIDEN!

blue: just get me out please? i wanna go home...

aiden: hang on, lemme try something.

aiden backs away and fires his recoil to wrap around the bars of the cage, he uses all of his strength but somehow manages to pull the bars open just enough for blue to escape.

blue: oh my god, i'm so happy i got out of here, is everyone okay? i missed you guys

aiden: we're okay, but we aren't alone

blue: yeah who was that guy?!

chase: what guy?

rocky; the one that shot a huge fire ball at us!

kya: fire ball?

chase: we didn't see anyone

aiden: probably cuz you were busy smooching

chase: aiden! shut up!

blue: wait thats a good point, chase who is this?

kya: i'm kya, its nice to meet you all

chase: kya these are my friends, thats aiden, blue, and rocky

kya: wait but, one of you were floating...

rocky: that would be me, hi

kya: are you...

aiden: he's a ghost, yes

kya: OH MY GOD!!

chase: freak out later, for now lets try and get out of here, what do we know about this fire guy?

blue: i think he tried to split us up, i mean we weren't all together just now right?

aiden: i was in the bathroom, its like the door was welded shut

blue: well that definitely wasn't us, rocky and i were trapped here in the service desk

chase: me and kya were on the ferris wheel when the power got cut

aiden: so he was picking us off one by one huh? i don't like that.

rocky: as if we don't get split up enough?! this was supposed to be a normal day!

aiden: relax, if he didn't want us together then he probably knows he can't take us all at once

chase: so what do we do?

aiden: i say we rush em, hit him from all angles

blue: why can't we just call the police?

rocky: if the power is cut the phones probably are too.

the boys begin to disagree, calming herself down kya begins to speak up.

kya: boys? can i say something?

aiden: sure, the floor is yours.

kya: if we can find a backup generator we can unlock the doors and escape!

blue: but where would those be?

kya: there's two that need to be turned on at the same time, one in each anchor store of the
