Aakifah has come home to stay for some days, she was missing her parents and sisters, so she came here. She sat with them, talking about old memories, reminiscing them but somewhere she was feeling restlessness, sitting amidst her family she was missing him.

She didn't want to accept that fact but still, she couldn't control her restlessness. It was as if her heart was compelling her to hear his voice once or to see him once. It has been just a day since she came here yet she was feeling like this.

And as if her untold prayers were accepted, her phone rang showing his name on the screen and at the mention of his name the smile escaped her lips was noticed by everyone sitting around her. She excused herself and went to the balcony.

"As salamu Alaikum," He said, and she smiled in relief hearing his voice after a day.

"Walaikum as-salam" She replied with the hint of happiness in her voice, and she looked up at the night's sky.

"You look happy!" He started more than asking, and her smile widened at that, she fixed her gaze on the one particular twinkling star in the sky.

"I am with my family, of course, I am happy." She replied nonchalantly while biting her lower lip because of her white lie.

"Umm, sure but..." He said and stopped in the middle for a moment before continuing "you weren't this smiling when you came out on the balcony" He said and her eyes narrowed and she gasped. She immediately looked below and there he was standing leaning on his bike while waving his mobile in the air and indicated to her to come down with his hand.

She firstly smacked her head for the stupidity she did and then blushed seeing him there. She rushed downstairs and opened the main door to welcome him.

"You are looking red like a tomato" He teased her, who controlled her hands from smacking him playfully knowing her mother was just behind her and she didn't wish to hear her scolding, so she gave him a fake sweet smile on which he chuckled.

He was welcomed in her home with great khatirdari after all he was their damaad. Finally, after all of the things, they thought to give them privacy and tell Aakifa to show him her room. She nodded her head and brought him to her room.

She closed the door behind her, he was standing in the middle of her room and was scratching the back of his head. She took steps towards him and looked at him, who was looking nervous.

"Um... Can... Can i" Before he could finish his question, she wound her arms around him putting her head on his chest. He closed his eyes feeling her body close to him and reciprocated her hug, he snuggled his head in her neck.

"I missed you" He mumbled from her neck on which she smiled, she missed him too but was she gonna tell him that? No!

One more moment when her heart started melting at his cute gesture. How much time would it exactly take to melt completely? Or it has already melted but the owner is unknown to this fact!!

When Aakifa returned to her sasuraal this time she took one precious thing with her. She had taken the pendant which he had given to her with a thought that now that day is not far when she will wear this.

She definitely trusts him now, and that was the deal, right? That she would wear this pendant when she would be ready to start her married life! And her relationship was not progressing further because he told her that he would only take a step when she would trust him as Trust is the basis of every relationship.

And now she trusts him, but still, she wanted one solid reason to wear this. She was thinking this when she realised that it was Sabur's birthday after two days! This will be perfect. She thought.

~*~

She had taken the pendant out of the box and put it inside a silver chain, and hung it around her neck. She caressed the pendant which was going below her collarbones, precisely to be towards her cleavage. She hid it from the Dupatta she wore.

Today she came early from the office as she wanted to give him a surprise and for that, she needed to be there before him. She got ready in a pink coloured straight Kurti with palazzo pants and organza dupatta with it. She even did minimal makeup and now she was waiting for him to come home.

The clock struck the eight and her heartbeats quickened, it was an hour later than his usual time. But she managed her heart saying, he must get stuck in the traffic. Then it struck eight-thirty and her heart by now was beating as it would come out of the rib cage. She tried his phone which he was not picking up.

Not knowing what to do, she made her way to her in-law's room to tell her father in law. She knocked on the door and her mother in law opened the door. Safiya looked at Aakifa who was looking like she would faint any moment.

"What happened? Why are you looking so pale?" Safiya asked her with concern.

"Sabur has... Hasn't come yet" Aakifah told her, who looked at the clock and realised that it was now way past his coming time.

"Let me inform Qadir," She said and called her husband who was outside of the house due to some work. She told him about Sabur who said he will see to the matter.

Safiya turned to look at Aakifa who by now had started shivering in fear, she held her hands and made her sit in one of the couches in the living room and handed her the glass of water.

"Don't worry, he'll be okay!" Safiya reassured her as she believed that he must be stuck in traffic or something but Aakifa was having all the worst kinds of possibilities and that was making her more apprehensive.

It was a few minutes after that when they heard his car's horn and Aakifa's eyes teared up in relief. She felt as if finally she could breathe normally. The heavyweight was lifted off from her heart. She raised her wet eyelashes to see him coming inside in one piece, completely fine.

"Where were you?" Safiya asked his son sternly, how irresponsible could he be? He could have just called at home telling them that he would be late!

"Ammi, I got stuck with an important file and then got stuck in traffic!" He replied in a tired tone slumping on the couch.

"You could have called to inform!" Safiya said again, crossing her hands over her chest.

"I forgot my phone at the office," he said resting his head on the backside of the couch, while Aakifa stood up from her place and went to their room in an attempt to normalise herself before he could see her.

"You are now a married man, learn to be responsible. Now go, your wife was worried sick about you." Safiya said to her son, who kissed her cheek in hurry and rushed to his room. She shook her head at his son's antics.

Sabur entered their room to notice Aakifa sitting on the edge of the bed, she was looking in her lap while fidgeting her fingers.

"Aakifah" He called her and she looked up to meet his eyes. His eyes met with her glazed ones and he dropped his bag on the floor beside him and rushed towards her.

He sat down in front of her on his knees and cupped her face.

"I am alright, I got stuck due to an important account file, I am sorry," He said to her who shook her head at him.

"It's okay, I just got scared. I was having... Worst imaginations" She said, telling her reasons to him, who immediately took her in his embrace giving her assurance of being there with her.

She clutched his shirt in her fists as a few tears left her eyes, she sniffed a little and after a few minutes came out of his embrace. She wiped her tears and gave him a small smile.

"I am sorry, I should have informed you," He said while looking into her eyes.

"It's okay I am telling you, I think I overreacted." She said and gave him a small smile again, her lips were looking so pink and luscious that when she spoke his gaze stuck on her lip's movements.

He gulped down at his sinful thoughts and averted his eyes little to bring them down, due to their embrace her dupatta slipped from her left shoulder and is now only hanging on her right shoulder, revealing her chest to him. His eyes fell on the silver chain in her neck and without thinking he touched the chain and lifted it revealing the Sapphire pendant to his eyes.

His eyes twinkled seeing that pendant in her neck, does that mean? He looked up to her eyes to confirm his thoughts to which she gave a small nod making him grin and at the same time making him feel emotional.

"Are you sure?" He asked looking at the pendant in his palm and she cupped his face in her soft hands making him look up at her face.

"I trust you," She said with firmness in her voice and gave him a heart-stopping smile, he looked at her for a moment. He felt as if he succeeded today, the motive of his life has been gained as she smiled at him.

Now when she accepted their relationship wholeheartedly, he didn't find it in himself to control his desires as he slowly leaned towards her lips and she closed her eyes in approval. That's what all he needed and he put his lips lightly on hers.

That was the start of their beautiful married life, they have faced hardships and problems but after all of them. They are together in each other's life as each other's spouse and that's what matters.

They both have had their share of sufferings, they were meant to be but not at that time. The time when they were meant to be united, they did! Whatever is written in your destiny will come to you, maybe time would be different, circumstances would be different but if it is meant to be yours, it will be yours.

They were Sabur and Aakifah who did Sabr and trusted their Almighty with their life matters. And he is the best of planners!
