"I read something in the book before," I continued.

"Some villagers ordered their shepherd boy. They told the shepherd boy that when he saw a wolf, he should scream 'wolf' and promised the shepherd boy that they would come with their weapons.

The next day, while the boy was tending his sheep, he saw a lion in the distance. He shouted, 'Lion! The lion!' But no one came.

The lion killed some sheep. The shepherd boy cried. The shepherd boy asked why the villagers did not come when he called them, and they answered him that there was no lion in their place. The villagers even said that what he should watch out for are the wolves.

The shepherd boy learned an important principle;

People respond to things they are only prepared to believe, and the only thing that will prepare them to believe is their own experience.

People around you may not understand you, and they may not believe you, but the truth in your experience cannot be changed simply by things they do not believe and accept."
