Klaus' Family Mansion is the Mystic Falls residence of Niklaus Mikaelson and Elijah Mikaelson, and former residence of Rebekah Mikaelson. They were joined there by other family members for a short time. Klaus had his hybrids compel construction workers to renovate the building.

It is now empty since Elijah and Klaus have moved to New Orleans.

Rebekah's House is first seen when Rebekah Mikaelson moves out from Klaus Mikaelson's Mansion after a fight with the brother. It is unknown who lived there before, or if Rebekah had bought it. However, it belongs to Rebekah.

The Mikaelson Mansion, also known as the Plantation, is located in New Orleans. In the early 19th century, it was the home of the governor of New Orleans, with whom the Mikaelsons had an understanding regarding their presence in the city. In present day, Elijah and Rebekah take up residence there. It is Elijah's house as he tells Hayley it is a sanctuary for his business in the quarter.

The Abattoir, also known as the compound, is a very large house in the French Quarter of New Orleans. It was the primary residence of the Mikaelson family during the 19th century and in the early 20th century. After the Mikaelson siblings, Elijah, Rebekah, and Niklaus were forced to flee from New Orleans after Mikael found them and tried to kill them, Marcel Gerard, who had lived there with the family as Klaus' adopted son, officially took ownership of the home in their absence. Klaus eventually resumed control of the household when he returned to New Orleans nearly a century later in 2011 and regained his rule over the city.

The home was introduced in The Originals and was first named in House of the Rising Son.
