"YIPPEEEEEE!" YOU, RIKO, AND SATORU exclaimed in unison as the three of you jumped into the water. "ew, that's so gross, satoru!" you say, laughing as he waves a sea cucumber in you and riko's faces. satoru chuckled as he set it back down into the water. he then looked around, spotting a ball.

"hey, i found a volleyball!" satoru said, going over and holding it up. "y/n and i are on a team!" riko replied. "let's kick his ass!" you added. the white-haired male turned to kuroi and suguru. "yo, you two gonna join?" he asked. they exchanged looks before standing up.

staying at the beach wasn't the only thing the five of you did. after satoru suggested that they stay for another day, you all went to an aquarium. you looked into the tanks, watching all of the various fishes swim around. suguru came behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist, resting his head on your shoulder.

you smiled. "are you enjoying yourself?" he asked. "yeah! the fishes are so cute!" you replied. "i should get a pet fish one day." "yeah, that'd be nice. what would you name it?" suguru queried. you hummed as you thought. "isamu. it means 'courage,' and my fish's gonna be courageous!" you finally replied. your statement made your boyfriend laugh.

"i know i say this often, but..you're truly one in a million, n/n.." suguru spoke as he turned you around to face him. a blush dusted your cheeks. his finger intertwined with yours as he leaned in. you both shared a sweet kiss.

"get a room, you two!" you tensed up, seeing satoru standing behind suguru. your boyfriend pulled away, chuckling. "for a ladies' man, i don't think i've actually seen you with a lady, satoru" suguru teased. satoru let out a dramatic gasp. "how DARE you!" he said, pointing a finger at him. "that's why you're dating someone who's way out of you league!"

you took this chance to go off and find riko. you spotted her standing in front of a tank. "you okay, riko?" you asked, now standing beside her with a smile. "yeah, i'm fine. just..thinking.." she replied as a frown crept onto her face. "what will happen to the people i knew when i get assimilated? besides, i'll miss them..i'll never get to see them again after this is all over.."

"i can understand that..i get it. sometimes i think about what'll happen to those close to me when i finally kick the bucket. in your situation though, you're losing your sense of self. that's probably the scariest thing of all for a lot of people" you explained. riko looked down at the ground. "sorry. what i mean to say is..what if we didn't take you to tengen?" riko tensed up, her head snapping to you. "what..?" "n/n, riko!"

you both turned to suguru. "we'll talk later" you told riko as you both walked over to the two boys.

the sun had set hours ago and it was nearing midnight. suguru, kuroi, and riko were peacefully sleeping in their beds. you sat up, yawning as you got out of bed and walked towards the living room. you tensed up. "satoru?" you asked in hushed tone, getting his attention. "what're you doing up?" he asked in return. "my cursed energy started going off" you replied as you sat next to him. "sometimes i hate my technique.."

satoru hummed in response before going silent. "..you can go to sleep, satoru. i'll take over" you offered. "no, it's fine" "you've been up for the past couple days. it's not healthy" you said, removing his glasses. "see, you're already getting eye bags.."

satoru sighed, noticing your concerned expression. "i'll be fine. i'm the strongest, after all" he told you as he put his glasses back on. you only frowned. "physically, yes. what about everything else, satoru?" you asked, only to be met with silence.

that's how it was until you eventually fell asleep again, your head landing on satoru's shoulder as you quietly snored. he looked at you, sighing once more. he gently placed your head onto a pillow before getting up and grabbing a blanket. satoru covered your sleeping form with the blanket, moving to the other couch afterwards.

satoru glanced over at you as he rubbed the sleepiness from his eyes. how had suguru captured your heart? you really were out of his league..

yes, he was jealous of his best friend. he didn't know whether to feel guilty about it or not; it's not like he was acting on his feelings or anything. but shouldn't he just be happy for the two of you? he tried to be at first. but somehow, someway, his feelings would take over. everytime you showed him pictures of you and suguru, he couldn't help thinking that it should've been him instead.

satoru hummed to himself, closing his eyes for a moment to try and forget about his current thoughts. just be happy, he began to think. if he wanted you that badly, he should've confessed before the two of you started dating. you were both his best friends, he shouldn't be praying on your relationship's downfall like this.

you yawned as you leaned against suguru's arm. the five of you had boarded the plane and were finally on your way home. satoru was walking about the plane, using his six eyes to inspect the passengers. meanwhile, suguru summoned his dragon curse to fly alongside the plane. "suguru~! are we almost there? i miss my bed.." you spoke, making him chuckle. "yeah, we should be landing soon. you'll be able to get your proper beauty rest" suguru replied.

after about an hour, the plane had landed and you were all taken back to jujutsu high. you've all just passed the barrier. "that was so much fun!" riko spoke, wiping her forehead with a handkerchief. "yeah, definitely!" you replied with the same amount of energy.

you looked towards satoru. the eye bags from the past couple nights were still there. "yo, satoru." he perked up at the sound of your voice. "you've worked harder than any of us these past days. i'm proud of you and admire your determination to keep riko safe" you told him, smiling.

satoru broke the eye contact you both had, turning his head to hide his blush. "let's just hurry so i can get some proper sleep" he spoke. riko giggled. "you'll get your rest, don't worry. what, you need a bottle too?" suguru teased.

your smile widened as you looked at everybody. the mission was finally coming to a close and everybody was safe. once you looked back at satoru, however, that smile quickly faded away.
