The alarm clock buzzed like it was on its last juice of battery. I extended my arm lazily and quickly shot it off before it had time to ring for its third time. I didn't open my eyes yet as the blinding sun was peering through our see through blinds.

I counted to ten in my head and sat up at once. My face felt like it was drenched in a wet cloth during the night. I tried opening my mouth but dryness overcame all of it.

I reached for my phone only to see it was quarter past noon. We were supposed to go grocery shopping before eleven since it gets very crowded and busy during evening hours. I looked to my side, seeing my boyfriend sound asleep. His hair tossed to one side of his face while faint snores came out of him. His shorts ridden up to reveal his thigh, that had a tattoo imprinted on.

I smiled softly remembering the day he got it done. I ran my hand in a circle and sighed. He was such a crybaby. He wouldn't let me leave the room even if it was for a bathroom break or a snack break. He needed me there for support and for a hand he could grip for dear life. He looked so cute right after though.

I pulled the comforter off of me as I walked towards our window and peeked outside. It was relatively bright outside which was a nice start. I went back to my phone to see the temperature. Alright, 60 F (around 15 C), not too bad.

I turned on a soft songs playlist while I walked around dressing myself for the day. I got some nice black trousers that stop right above my ankles. I made sure to put some high warm socks as I put on my oak green converse on. A green hoodie was placed on as a light jacket was added as well.

I reached for my tote bag and placed in my phone, wallet, loose change, a beanie, and a few Kleenex. I got my noise cancelling headphones as well just in case the grocery store gets way too loud quickly.

I walked back towards dream and leaned over, giving his cheek and forehead a soft kiss. I stayed leaning over just admiring the beauty of this man. He still had his loud snores that can get unbearable to hear, still has a few eye crusts but to me he looks like the most beautiful man to ever set foot on earth.

I quickly walked over to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my business quickly. I was down the stairs in a second, walking around making sure no doors and windows were left open before I left. I wrote a note for dream before I left as well. Didn't want him thinking I left to nowhere or something.

I grabbed my bags to put the groceries in and grabbed my keys and was out the door in a flash.

The drive to the store wasn't too bad. Not much traffic to my surprise. I parked the car quickly and locked the car. I placed on my mask over my nose and sighed. I clutched my tote bag tightly, with my bags inside as well to avoid holding too many things.

As soon as I stepped inside the store, the immediate sounds of kids yelling and parents scolding their young ones consumed my ears. I took another step trying to ignore the sounds but it got worse. I could hear the sounds of boxes being thrown around by employees emptying inventory. I fetched my headphones and quickly turned on a random podcast to cancel all noises. A small smile found itself on my face as I could only hear my podcast speaking to me softly. I grabbed a cart and made my journey through the list of groceries.

The list wasn't that bad since it was only certain items with big quantities. I deleted the items I already have acquired on my notes app as I walked over to the bread isle. The sound of my stomach startled me as I looked around to see if anybody else heard it. I sighed to myself completely forgetting that I skipped breakfast.

I looked over at the bread isle trying to find something appetizing to eat. There wasn't much I can work with but ended up settling with some cinnamon rolls. I added them to my cart and looked at my list to see how much more I have. A sudden text appeared down my phone as I opened it seeing it was from dream.

I clicked my phone off and quickly passed down by some aisles to get the few items I had left. I deleted the list of groceries with a sigh of relief. A good day of success. I went to the self check out so it was easier for me to go slower and at my own pace. I started scanning my things with a smile plastered on my face as my podcast was coming to its end as well. The hosts said their goodbyes and to tune it next week for their weekly podcast and it ended with an ad. I payed for my things and went to my car.

I started it up before putting things in and placed my bag inside. I placed each bag full of items in the trunk of my car and shut it tightly. I placed the cart to it's correct spot and got in. I sighed feeling a slight shiver go up my spine as I removed my headphones and placed them inside my bag. I softly waved my hands around feeling overjoyed by my success. Grocery shopping can be a hassle for one person.

I made my way home feeling better knowing dream is up and doing dinner for us. I always get excited for his cooking. The way he makes it just tastes ten times better. I drove inside the garage in reverse so it was easier to drag the bags inside. I closed the garage door and opened the one that leads inside the home. I took my bag with me and grabbed two bags and came back for the other one.

I placed them on the kitchen counter and found Dream washing his hands in the kitchen. Our eyes met and a goofy smile found itself on his face as he quickly turned off the tap and went to dry his hands very quickly. "Hey there you!" He said as he slightly jogged over and gave me a tight squeeze making me suck in slightly. "Your squeezing me big guy-" I said as he instantly let go with a soft snort.

"I made sure to get your snacks for your streams. I know you get so hungry and don't bother leaving your room for food" I said giving his cheek a soft peck. "Thank you (y/n), I appreciate that a lot" he began to unload the groceries as I placed my keys on the bowl next to the door.

"Oh! The foods done if you wanna start eating while I unload the things" dream said as he placed the milk into the fridge and rummaged through to see if other things needs to be refrigerated as well. I shook my head as I began helping as well. "Nah, I wanna eat together" with that I placed certain items in the pantry for stock and other items in the smaller pantry for snacks. Dream looked down a bag to avoid his ears being seen since they were getting a bit red by the previous statement.

We finished rather quickly as dream started plating our food while I went to go get changed. I got a loose fitted tshirt that belonged to dream but I've worn it more than him so I call it mine, with some Star Wars pajama bottoms. I went back down stairs quickly feeling hungrier by the second.

I slowly stopped at the steps before the last ones, trying to catch those rare moments of just dream doing things. I liked observing him from afar. Not in a stalker or obsessive way, just in a endearing way. Wanting to see your partner do simple tasks makes your heart go crazy.

Dream pulled up two wooden tray tables in front of our sofa. He placed out plates and drinks on one side. He sat down for a bit to search up a show to watch on Netflix. He happily clicked on the season we were on and clicked pause. He quickly jogged back to the kitchen and got another plate and removed the chicken from one plate and replaced it on the other. I couldn't hold in my smile at his small gesture. When I eat alfredo pasta, I remove the chicken since I like eating them separately. It defeats the whole purpose of the whole dish but that's just a preference.

I quickly walked down, almost startling dream as I walked to the living room. "Hi handsome, ready to eat?" I asked as I sat down and pulled the tray table closer to me. "Mhm! Was just wasting for you" he sat down next to me as we began to eat and dream pressed play with a soft click.

Dinner went by quite slow since we kept getting distracted by TikTok's that kept showing up on his for you page. We had to pause the episode multiple times since a tiktok would randomly make him let out a wheeze and made me watch them as well. Our food was already finished so we were sitting back, letting our food sit for a bit before we stood up and did some dish washing.

"Wait wait (y/n) look at this one!" Dream snorted as he passed his phone to me once more. The tiktok was as simple as a man driving a motorcycle in slow motion as it starts to tip over and the video cuts off before we see him fall. "That's you if you ever get a chance to drive one of those" I teased dream as he placed a hand over his mouth as his laughter was muffled. "Well to be fair, I'm a good driver" he said trying not to laugh while speaking. I gave him a smirk as I rose an eyebrow.

"Who's the one that totaled his car over a stop sign? A stop sign?" I said raising my voice for comedic effect. Dream's chest heaved up and down as his giggles filled up our whole living room full of warmth. "You're such an idiot! To be fair I was a stupid teen who thought he was pretty damn good at driving" dream tried defending his name like it depended on it. "And to add, who's the one who has to drive you around for your silly little errands? Hm?" I said making dream cover his face with one hand making me smile.

"Well I like it when you drive me around. Makes me feel safe you know? And your car always smells like caramel, smells like you" dream said removing his hand from his face to look at me shyly. Now it was my turn to feel shy. I opened my mouth to say something but shut it, letting the heat get to me sooner or later. I laid back down and laid on his arm softly.

"You're such a nerd" I said as he moved his arm to remove it from underneath me and placed it over my waist with a soft tug. "Yeah but who's the one deeply in love with the said nerd?" Dream said giving my head a soft kiss. "Who said that?" I said jokingly making dream scuff. "Don't make me reread your love letter you wrote me back in February-" dream began as I started to cover my ears and hummed loudly. "Nope nope! Not listening!" I shouted slightly, feeling the vibrations of his laughter against my back.

"Alright alright! I won't this time, but only if you cuddle with me" dream said nudging his head down to the crook of my neck. I checked the time to see how late it was. It was only turning four o clock as I sighed and nodded. "Yeah we can, it's early anyways" I said as we pushed the tray tables aside, piling our plates together but not bringing them to the sink just yet.

We readjusted ourselves so our legs were tangled within each other, my head was against his chest as his was downwards to look at me. We pulled a weighted blanket over us as I sighed happily feeling the warmth emitting from dream and the blanket all together. I rubbed dreams arm softly, wanting to feel his skin before drifting to sleep. I sleepily gave his cheek a kiss as he quickly returned the kiss with a soft smile. "Go to sleep (y/n), I'll be here okay?" He said as I nodded and drifted to sleep by the semi quick beating of his heart and his cold hand riding up and down my back, tracing my spine slightly.
"Night, I love you" dream whispered only for me to hear vividly as sleep consumed my whole body in a second.
