Wanda moved the pan from off the heat and leant against the counter. "I used to think of myself one way, but after this..." She raised her hand and formed her red wisps around her hand, watching as they swirled around her fingers.
"I am something else. I'm still me, I think, but... that's not what everyone else sees." She titled her head as she awkwardly smiled.
Wanda frowned once she finished her sentence, the thoughts getting to her. She let out a sigh and lowered her hand, her energy disappearing.
"Do you know, I don't know what this is?" Vision ran his fingers along the stone, "Not really. I know it's not of this world, that it powered Loki's staff, gave you your abilities, but it's true nature is a mystery. And yet, it's a part of me." He gestured with his hands.
"Are you afraid of it?" Wanda questioned.
"I wish to understand it. The more I do the less it controls me. One day, who knows? I may even control it." He finished. There was silence for a moment.
Wanda felt the somber energy in the room, and decided to change the subject, "I don't know what's in this but it is not paprika."
Wanda laughed, "let me go get Danny, I'm gonna go to the store. I'll be back in twenty minutes."
Vision quickly phased out of his seat and got in front of her as she was about to leave. The girl was confused on why he had stopped her.
"Alternatively, we could order a pizza?" Vision asked.
"Vision? Are you not letting me leave?" Wanda questioned as well.
Vision looked down, "It is a question of safety."
"I can protect myself." Wanda tried walking away, but Vision held her back.
"Not yours."
"Who's? Danny's?"
"Mr. Stark. He would like to avoid the possibility of another public incident. Until the Accords are on a more secure foundation." He explained.
"And what do you want?" Wanda asked Vision.
"For them to see you, as I do."
Maximoff staring at him for a second before turning away slowly and walking off back to her room.
Wanda came back into the room."we are prisoners yet again." Danny quickly sitting up at his sister words.
"What are you talking about?" He stared at her in concern as she paced back and forth. "Tony has vision guarding us! Like we're animals locked in a cage?"
'Why would Tony wanna keep us hereโwait it's Tony? But then again we didn't do anything wrong, so why?'
Danny thought to himself as he sat up on the bed, taking on a criss cross apple sauce position as he wrapped a blanket around himself.
"Why would Tony do this?"
"I don't know Dan! I never know what starks thinking! I doubt he ever really doesโ" the girl stopped her pacing as sadness plastered across her face.
"Wanda?"
"Lagos...." The girl mumbled. That was all it took for Danny, the images of the incident immediately flooding his mind. He looked down sadly as a tear graced his face.
The two sat in a moment of silence. "Maybe he's right..." Wanda said lowly, breaking the silence, walking over and taking a seat next to Danny.
"The world sees us as monsters....rightfully so. I mean all we've ever done is cause pain and destruction."
"And we've been trying to make up for it!" Danny sobbed as he leaned into his sister, who wrapped him in a hug.
"Staying here for the time being.....might be the best option for us. We can't cause anymore problems."
The girl sad solemnly, holding her brother as they sat on the bed, self loathing filling up the atmosphere.
