"I can't believe we have this much homework!" Nudge groaned. 

"I'm sorry sis." Iggy patted her back. Fang was walking by my side. 

I looked over at him he gave a tiny smile. Just then he put his arm around my shoulder. I didn't want to shrug it off, I liked it.

"Look here, Lovebirds." Ella skipped off. When she turned around and looked at us, Fang purposely kissed my cheek. I just stopped and stood frozen in place. Everyone looked at us. 

"Max?" Gazzy asked.

"Max, you okay?" Nudge was standing in front of me. Just then Fang hugged me. That made me fell better- wait, ignore that. 

I slowly took a step forward, after what just happened.

"Yey, she is alive!" Gazzy joke, I saw Fang scowl at him. 

"Come on, guys." I wiggled my way out of Fang's arms. What is going on with him? Did reality slap him across the face? If not, reality please hurry up.

We got to the house, as I opened the door, it squeaked. "So squeaky." Nudge giggled. 

"Yeah." Iggy second.

I stopped and turned to look at them. "Do you want me to make it not squeak?" I questioned. As they stared at me, I closed the door. Grabbing the doorknob, I pulled up on the door. When I open it, it didn't squeak.

"There." I crossed my arms. 

"How- but- how?" Ella was amazed. 

"You didn't know?" I tilted my head a little.

If you were to walk into the living room it would look like we were planning for an apocalypse. "I think 4/x • 6= 4.8 x is 5." Iggy was looking at our math homework. 

"Yeah." Nudge was chewing another pencil, it was her second one.

"Question 34 is 56." Gazzy pointed out.

"Oh my god! It's 11:32!" Nudge squealed. "Oh few, it's Friday."

"Mom!?" Ella got up and ran downstairs.

After minutes of frustration, Ella came back up the stairs. "You guys can sleepover." She smiled.

Everyone went home to get their stuff. Last was Fang and I. Ella ran off with Nudge. "Some sister?" Fang asked me putting his arm around my shoulders. It made me tense up but I got used to it.

"I guess." I shrugged. We slowly walked in a non-awkward silence to their house. 

"Did you have a good day?" He quietly asked me. I nodded. "That's good." He squeezed my shoulder. I leaned my head on his shoulder. 

"I'm tired." I groaned.

"We are almost home."

"Stupid homework!" Nudge slammed her homework down. 

"All we have is math, we can do this!" Gazzy was trying to keep this positive.

"It's 3 am!" Iggy groaned. He reached over and grabbed his water off my bedside table. "I'm pooped."

I fell over on my side. I felt someone rubbing my shoulder. "I give up." I groaned.

"Pancakes," Fang whispered in my ear. I swatted at his face. 

"Shh. I had a good dream." I kept swatting till I was totally limp.

"I smell pancakes." I heard Nudge's voice. 

"Geez, I'm up." Groaning, I got out of bed to see my mom making pancakes and bacon. 

"Bacon!" Nudge squealed. 

"So funny Nudge." Iggy came from behind her.

"There is enough for 5 pieces a person." My mom told us as she continued making pancakes. 

"Mm." Ella took a piece. 

"When did you get dressed?" I asked Ella looking at her. She just shrugged and grabbed a pancake.

"We can go do something other than homework." I don't want to do to homework, I was so exhausted of doing it. "Maybe the mall? Park? The lake?" Everyone looked at me when I said lake. 

"Yes! Lake!" Gazzy punched the air. 

"Yeah!" Nudge second.

"That seems nice." Iggy shrugged.

Ella and Fang nodded.

"I can drive you guys." My mom nodded. 

"We can rent a boat or something." Nudge pointed out. 

"Sorry, you need a permit for a boat." My mom told us.

"Kayaks?" I questioned. "Yeah, the lake lets people rent kayaks!" Ella jumped up and down.

"That's settled then, just call me when you guys want me to come get you guys." My mom smiled. "Now get dress." We all scurried to get dressed.

"Bathing suits?" My mom asked us. We all nodded and piled into her car. 

"Off to the lake!" Nudge chanted.

"Nudge! Please not now." Iggy tried stopping her. 

"Ok, not right now." She nodded looking at the floor. Fang sat next to me and he grabbed my hand that was at my side, holding it and intertwining our fingers.
