________________________________________________________________________________

In Hekapoo's dimension or in others as well, many knew Hekapoo and Marco's relationship before they dated. But only a few had a real glimpse of the two competing sides of the couple. So, how do rivals turn into lovers get close?

By games! They are a structured form of play, usually undertaken for entertainment or fun, and sometimes used as an educational tool. However, this one is more competitive as it is merely to decide who controls the night and bed.

The problem was a judge. They needed someone to keep scores for the game. So, Hekapoo decided Janna, her best friend. Marco was not eager. She would probably be on Hekapoo's side to annoy him. Adding random numbers to their scores and finding a loophole for Hekapoo. So, he considered Star. Only to have Hekapoo disagree with him. She pointed out that Star may not last long since it might get difficult with her getting easily distracted.

So, they turned to the last person they could think of who would take no side.

"Are you joking?" Tom stared at Marco with a raised eyebrow, a hand holding a game-pad. Marco had turned to the mewman demon prince for help. Or to make it clearer, his best friend and Hekapoo's teammate for the dragoncycle race. So it was easy and a good idea to suggest him to count their scores during the game. Anyone else, he had doubts. "Tom, you are the only one who can be our judge."

Tom sighed at those words. Marco had a point to what he was talking about but he would not want to do it for free. Not from his frenemy. "What are you paying me?"

He pulled out his scissors and cut through the air for a dimensional portal. After reaching through something, he pulled out Tom's favourite.

Tom perked up and sweep the pie from Marco's hands in a flash. "Have fun with your date!"

"You won't regret them, Tom!" Closing the first portal and ripping another, he went through it and met up with his girlfriend. "So, did the demon prince accept it?"

"It was hard, but it works. Tom accepted it." A relieved sigh escaped her lips. "Pie?" She guessed. He nodded. "Yep," Hekapoo chuckled at his response.

Looking back up at him, Hekapoo lean close. "So, where is our little battlefield?"

"Does the mall sound good to you?"

"Well, aren't you getting bold?" He let out a soft chuckle. Without waiting for her reply, he cut a portal for their date. "Ready?"

"Pfft, are you sure you're asking the right person, muscles?"

"Well, there's no guarantee you'd win because of Tom." Marco lets her past through the portal as he followed into the shopping mall in another dimension. A different and fair place they were not familiar with. A proper battlefield.

It was a normal day for the shopping mall. Not many people but not too little to look like it was empty. As they walked together, Hekapoo glanced over to the clothing store. She eyed plenty of cute dress and wonders if she would find a good dress for her body size. "I think I'll try out some clothes. Can you find something for me?" Marco nodded at her request, following her from behind. "Sure,"

"Oh, this looks cute." She grabbed the black leather jacket from the rack. Looking around, she finally found the size. S.

"Ugh, why are all leathers have to be in small girl sizes?" She hissed in annoyance.

"Well, you are small yourself." He commented simply but Hekapoo shot him a glare. "How sweet of you to sugarcoat my height."

A minute passed, Marco realized what her small meant. "Oh, you mean that small. Sorry,"

"I'll run off to the men's wear and at least find a good leather for myself. You can pick what you want for me, okay?"

"Alone?" Marco asked softly, unsure. He had picked clothes of his own but never someone else's. A grin curved upon her lips as she looked up to him. "Aw, you need mommy's hand all day?" Though he grumbled his annoyance, a faint blush was on his cheeks. But it was not enough to earn her a score.

Their attention was taken by the sound of his phone. Seeing it as Tom, Marco quickly picked it up. "I'll be in the fitting room. Wait for me there," Hekapoo excused herself and ran off before he could respond.

"This is early. Something happened?" He wondered, no formalities between them.

"Nope. Just checking you two out. How's the date?" Tom shrugged, taking a spoonful of pie and chucking it into his mouth. A faint clink between the metal and the plate was heard from the other side before it resumed to the continuous sounds of gunshots and ding points.

"Just a quick walk around the mall. Nothing special." Marco shrugged nonchalantly, eyes scanning through the distinct set of clothing. "Aren't you supposed to be checking in on our scores?"

"I am. Two eyes on my game and one on you two." True to his words, he had a gaming screen side to side with a magic mirror. But Marco didn't believe him. "Right. And what do you have on us?"

"Heka is searching for a leather jacket that she wants to try on."

"Didn't know you could multitask."

"Before you become king, you need to train yourself to do it. My dad's words."

"Wisdom."

"Yep. So, where are you guys now?"

"Still searching for clothes her size. You know how her body is." He put down all the dress he was fumbling with. None caught his interest, he sighed.

"Short but big body. And those arms will need extra attention. So, good luck with that." Tom's sudden and weird comment took Marco by surprise. Before it turned into sour look. "Hey, my girlfriend." He hissed but Tom merely rolled his eyes.

"I went shopping with her once, you know. Back when she got challenged by Raven and I had to find her a good racing dress. So, I have experience. No need to get possessive."

"Okay, fine, the guy with experience with my girlfriend. Any tips?"

"Sleeveless dresses are the best. But don't choose it out of random. She has a taste and gets cranky when it doesn't fit her."

"How do you know all that stuff?"

"Like I said, I have at least a 10 hour experience and I know for a fact, Heka loves looking like the center of modern attention."

"Okay," He grabbed a cute black dress with cherry prints. Maybe this looks okay. Marco went to the fitting room with the dress. There were three fitting rooms there so he had to call out for her. "Hekapoo,"

"Second,"

"Wait, are you at the woman's clothing store?" Tom questioned through the phone. "Yeah, why?"

"Good luck, then." Tom's sudden sigh took Marco by surprise, and it unnerved him. "Good luck? What do you mean good luck?" He pressed on for answers, but the other side fell silent for a minute and turned into beeping. He heard the curtains pulled back and assumed that she finished with her fitting. Hekapoo asked behind him. "Who was it?"

"To--" Carelessly, he turned around to meet her. However, Marco forgot his next sentence. Heck, he even forgot that word made up half of his speech before he could use it. She was wearing a lingerie. Seeing Marco turning red, Hekapoo grins and puts her arms behind her, pushing her breasts ahead.

"How is it?" Her question was a taunt for him as she approached him closer and closer.

"Oh! I got 10 points~" She cheered, Marco looked down at his phone to the messaging apps to find the score. "What? 10?! That's too much for starters!?"

Hekapoo giggled at his annoyance. "Aw, you didn't discuss first, baby? Don't worry. I'll tell Tommy to take half the point. I don't want to hoard too many points from you."

"That's merciful of you." He choked upon his words and backed away as she struts closer. "If you stay like this, I might be more merciful in bed." She purrs seductively, offering him a better look on her.

"I don't need you to baby me." He tried to sound stern and unnerved. But how could he when she got all dressed up for him? It was worth the shot. She sighed before turning that disappointed look into a teasing grin. "Well then, you got to buy something good that makes it worth it. It hurts that you turned me down."

He was desperate to get her off before she made his red face visible to anyone who saw him. "What do you want?"

"How about we go around the mall first? If I find it, I'll tell you."

"Can you at least get your clothes on first? People are staring." He spoke softly, turning away with a darkened blush. Her body is so soft.

"Whoops." She chuckled teasingly. Hekapoo ran off back into the changing room. As she was changing, he let out a sigh and prayed to any gods that exist that she gets back into her usual clothes. Hekapoo pulled the curtains back in a different dress than her earlier one.

Marco ended up tongue-tied and staring at her. The black cherry-printed dress fits her curves perfectly. The ruffles around her shoulder made her look cute and innocent. Apparently, she noticed his admiration for her. Maybe I overdid it. She giggled. Hekapoo gave him a soft kiss, helping him regain his grip on reality. "I'll go ahead and pay. You can wait for me outside."

"Right, thanks." He cleared his throat and ran off to the bathroom. Thankfully, he was alone. He let out a sigh. Turning the water tap, he desperately washed his face and tried to cold down his cheeks. Whatever that makes the blushes fade, he will do it. God, this is embarrassing. He wanted to win the game, but with Hekapoo? He should have known she is a tougher challenge. Heck, she would not even make his scissor challenge easy even when they got close in that 16 years.

Marco walked out of the washroom and hanged by the mall balcony. He sighed softly. He was becoming too soft now that they were an official couple. A good idea and plan could help him up, make him feel better than just weak in the knees around her.

"Feeling better?" She patted his back softly, careful not to scare the poor man.

"You cheated." He grumbled childishly. "Oh, come on. It is part of the game to make one or the other blush to get points."

"I'll get back my points."

"Sure, you will. Now, I want my goods." He sighed. "Fine, what do you want?"

"How about we go for a walk? Maybe I might find something good." And so they walked around. She was enjoying her victory as Marco silently took quick glances at her in the new cherry print dress.

"Muscles, I want ice-cream." Her sudden request took his attention. Marco turned to where she was pointing at. There was an ice-cream parlour at the corner with many kinds of ice-cream flavours. He smiled at her sweet-tooth, nodding and going there. "Which one?"

Tapping on her chin, she let a few seconds to think of her choice. "Cherry Garcia and Bavarian Chocolate."

"Two scoops?" Marco asked at her, wondering if she was picking for them both. "All for me." She stuck out her tongue teasingly. Even the ice-cream boy failed to hide his amused grin. He silently scooped two kinds of chocolate she requested in one bowl. "Thank you,"

"Have you ever heard sharing, H-poo?"

"What if I say I don't want to?" she grinned teasingly, testing him. "H-poo," he whined as he called her out, but she merely stuck out her tongue to insult him and walked ahead of him. She scooped a small amount of her ice cream and stuck it in her mouth so she could pull out her red and black phone from her pocket.

She-Devil (Marco's lady):
Hey, demon boy!

I think I should get half the point. You can think of it as a pity point for poor Marco Diaz.

Demon-Prince (Tom Lucitor):
Are you sure?

She-Devil (Marco's lady):
I am winning against an amateur here. What could muscles do? Surprise me with teddy bears?

Demon-Prince (Tom Lucitor):
Okay, then.

Proudly rubbing her victory into his face, Hekapoo chucked her phone back into her pocket. She happily scooped an enormous amount of her success cold treat, a little too much for her mouth, and chomped it down.

Hekapoo suddenly felt arms wrapped around her waist, stopping her from moving ahead, and made her tumble back into a certain someone's chest. Before Hekapoo could respond, she felt a pair of lips on hers. She could feel his tongue slip in to have a taste of her victory. "Thanks, H-poo."

Ding-Ding!

Hekapoo felt her phone behind her buzzing at her back. Curious, she pulled it to look at it.
