Hekapoo now has friends. Before she joined the dragoncycle clubs, her hot spot was her Forge. Either making scissors or watching people fight for her scissors. She only separated those around anyone as allies and enemies. So the club helped her a lot in getting deeper relationships. Hekapoo was close to all the dragoncycle members, especially Tom. They bonded over their red dragons, their physical appearance and taste for spice. But no matter how close they got, he never oversteps the boundaries. They were friends. That is all.

Janna was different. They bonded over their love for mystery and magic. It was good, but not when she knows how to make you feel like the third wheeler when you are the boyfriend. Marco hates Janna. That much is obvious. He admits that she has been a good friend and a powerful ally of need. But it is easier to hate.

So, like anyone who wants a good relationship, he talked it out with his beloved who had just served him coffee in his office. "Enjoy your coffee, muscles."

"H-poo, do you love me?" Hekapoo looked up from the cup and straight to him.

"Uh, I'm married to you. I had your son. So, does that not count as physical evidence of love?" She raised an eyebrow, looking down at him.

"No, I mean like, do you love-love me?" He highlighted the words twice to make sure she understood him. Hekapoo rolled with it, wondering where this conversation would lead to by saying, "Yes, I do."

"Then how come Janna gets a kiss and everything she wants while I get nothing?" The sudden and unexpected question caught her off guard before she burst into laughter.

"H-poo!" He whined, his cheeks red. He felt slightly embarrassed by how childish he sounded.

"Okay, okay." She took a deep breath and cleared her throat. However, the toothy grin still mingled on her lips. A mischievous grin. Marco was getting his guard up. She slipped onto his lap, getting comfortable as she leaned close to him, hooking her arms around his neck. "So are you jealous?"

"Yes. Yes, I am." He admitted as he leaned back against his chair. Instead, Hekapoo giggled in response and pushed away from him, resting her hands on his chest. "Marco, Jay's my best friend. Like a sister to me. You, however, are my husband." Hekapoo nudged his chin up by a finger and gave him a soft kiss. A kiss on his lips should have been enough to satisfy him, but Marco would not give up easily.

"And you made me a third wheeler every time Janna's around." He pointed out. He played out memories of their time together. Then, Janna popped into existence to take Hekapoo's attention away.

"What makes me and Janna so different? Tell me."

"You want to know?" He vigorously nodded, "Yes, that's why I asked."

"Well, first thing's first, Jay has tabs on my exes."

"Wait, what?"

"Mm-hm, she knows who I've dated, why we broke up and what kind of person they were..."

"And you didn't tell me?" He gave her a pointed look. But Hekapoo chuckled at the ridiculousness in the situation. "Babe, what's the point of telling you about my exes?"

"I could be better than them."

"Muscles, we're married. You are better than them." Hekapoo chuckled softly. Okay, fine. That was a stupid question.

"Any other benefit she has I don't?"

"I told her what I like and what I hate and my secrets, my breast size, my body size." She trailed off, going on to her things that he should know. Marco huffed. Great, so she knows everything! How is that a benefit that a friend should have and he doesn't?

"So she has more benefits than I do? Now, you're making friend zones a lot nicer than this." He grumbled. Hekapoo only giggles and lightly pecks on his cheek. "Except, friends don't go around, tasting each other."

"What else?" She silently grinned. Marco was listening. Hekapoo continued with a sigh.

"Well, Janna gets verbal info and none reliable answers. You can be more... hands-on if there is something you need to know about me."

"Friends get to judge if what I'm wearing is okay without touching. Lovers get to strip me off or have me in it."

"Go on," he pressed on. A hand slipped under her shirt. She sighed softly. "You get to enjoy our lone time in any way you want. Friends couldn't."

"That's a benefit." He admitted with a chuckle, so close to her ear. Before she could continue, Marco had already grabbed and lifted her on the table. Her button-down shirt was slightly open.

Ring-ring!

The sudden loud noise on the table shook the couple from their time together. Looking at the side, they both looked up to find their red crystal on a mechanical device. Instead of Marco turning it on, Hekapoo did. "H-poo!"

A certain woman he hated appeared in a hologram. "Finally! I was hoping you weren't slacking off again, Diaz." Janna huffed in annoyance.

"You got Marco's homework?" Marco was grumbling at Hekapoo's question.

"He's the adviser to the king and queen of Mewni. He deserves it. I've done papers, books and stuff on my side and all you need is them signed and dealt with." Janna explained picking up a paper and going through the royal schedule. "You'll also have to join a meeting with them next week at 9 in the morning." Janna trailed off. Looking up from the papers, Marco was glaring daggers as Hekapoo listened intently. It was weird considering Marco was the one to work. "Was I disturbing something?"

"Yes, don't you understand privacy?" Marco shot back at her. It took Janna back before she recovered her composure. "You're working for the government of Mewni and I'm the one who runs your schedule, buddy. Thanks to Heka." Janna smiled sweetly at his wife and Hekapoo chuckled. "Thank you, Janna. I'll put that in my tab."

"H-poo," He whined, holding on to her hand as she slowly got off. If only Janna wasn't here, he would remind her of his benefits. But three is a crowd.

"You're a busy man tonight, muscles. So I think I'll head off to bed now." She buttoned up her shirt. Hekapoo blew a kiss to Janna and waved her goodbye. "Night, Jay!"

"I hate you." He hissed.

"What did I do?" Janna questions him. Instead of waiting for his answer, she shook her head out of curiosity. "Nevermind, I need these things tonight. I'll be ready with magic runes once you've sent it." Beep! Janna disconnected from the call and her hologram dissipated. Marco sighed softly, deep in thought.

"Lover's benefits, hm?" He grinned, ideas popping in. He chuckled softly before turning to the work he plans on finishing. Hopefully, he will finish later.

"Mama! Mam, wake up!" A voice that broke into a whimper had shaken her awake. Hekapoo could feel tiny warm hands on her naked shoulder. Reluctantly, she obliged, but with complaints about the little man. "What is it, Ari?"

But the boy just kept pushing her around, amazingly with strength from her. "Wake up!"

"I'm up! I'm up!" She quickly turned and sat up, rubbing her tired eyes awake. Her fire headed son with horns was now looking up at her with his golden eyes. A small mole under his eye. "Oh, baby Aries, why do you have to wake me up? You should wake daddy first."

"But daddy went to work already! And you got hurt!" He argued, pointing at her neck. Drowsiness gone, she got confused. "What?"

Jumping out from bed, Hekapoo rushed to the mirror and paled at the sight of herself in the mirror. In her loose buttoned shirt, bruises and marks scattered around her neck, shoulders and chest. If Aries was not in the room, she would have checked for other parts too. Her eyes caught on to the little folded notepad on the corner of her vanity. Snatching it, she unfolds and reads it.

Thank you for my lover's benefits, H-poo.

Your husband, Marco.

"Mama, you're okay? Are you hurt?" The boy's worried questions got her back to reality, and she turned back to him. His golden eyes were on the verge of leaking. Oh no, not the eyes. Hekapoo quickly went over to her little horned angel, holding and rocking him softly. But her head is already cursing him for putting her at this spot. In front of their son, even! Hekapoo had to distract Aries. It was morning, so he must be hungry for breakfast.

She cooed to him on their way to the kitchen. "No, Aries. Mama's not hurt. Don't worry about it. You want breakfast?" She asked, and he nodded meekly.

"But if it doesn't hurt, then what is it?" Her little boy's question heated her pale skin. She fumbled around for an answer. How was she going to answer him? "Uh, well..."

This was going to be a long day...
