ENOCH WAS FEELING A LITTLE BETTER. He and Clara were 'getting to know' each other for a while or three. At first, it wasn't the best idea to entertain him, but it actually did. Clara told him what she can do, and showed him to different places, places that she stumbles on purpose or accident. She also told him how she found the place or what she did there. The last place she showed him was a cliff, on top of sea.
"I was just here yesterday. It's pretty. Maybe I'll bring you here if you get better." Clara said, and they were back in his room, but it was much dimmer. Enoch did notice that she had blood dripping from her nose.
"Your nose," He pointed out. Clara wiped it, "Does that usually happen?"
"At times when I overuse my peculiarity, yes." Clara said, "Maybe now you can tell me about you. Felt like I've been the one talking a lot."
"I'm a listener, really," Enoch said, leaning his back at the headboard of his bed.
"Well, I can be one too." Clara turned on the fluorescent lights inside the room, and sat onto Enoch's bed, near his legs. Enoch rolled his eyes while smiling.
"Fine," He said again, but much calmer this time. He took a deep breath before he said, "I'm a necromancer, but in another way. I can give life to lifeless, inanimate things, with the use of hearts. The bigger the hearts, the longer its lifespan. With the heart I give them, I get to control them. I'm a dead riser."
"I was 17 when I got into my first loop. It was about time, because my family was infuriated, learning about my peculiarity. My father called me a freak, the girl I liked knew about it too. She called me a madman. My mother sobbed, asking God why had he given her such child... I was an only child. Basically, when I ran away, they've lost a child."
"Do you miss them?" Enoch glanced to Clara, "Your parents? The girl you liked? Anyone?"
"No," Enoch said truthfully, "They're long dead. They never treated me like family, nor like a person. I don't miss people who hurt me."
Clara nodded, "Who was the girl you liked? Do you remember her?"
Enoch thought deeply. He remembered her, but it was faded. "I remember her warm smile.. She rarely smiled. She was usually sad. Her name was something I've forgotten. But other than that... Nothing. I chose to forget her, and I did."
"How about you? Anyone you liked?" Enoch asked curiously.
"Yes. Before, though.. His peculiarity was telekinesis. He had shiny, blond hair, and he smiled a lot. He would cheer me up at times I needed it. He was there for me. Augustus Hale. I owe him my life, to be honest. My first loop was raided with hollowgasts and wights. I survived, and he didn't."
Enoch was silent, "I'm sure that he knew what he was doing." He told her, trying to ease the conversation. Clara looked at him, and said, "I think that should do it. You should get some rest,"
"Okay." Replied Enoch, "Can you stay with me? Just for tonight."
"Alright. Move a bit," Clara laid beside Enoch, draping the covers onto herself. "Good night, Enoch. Feel better." She yawned, before leaving him a kiss on the cheek, "Something I do for my friends, I hope you don't mind."
Enoch was surprised, but he was able to say, "Good night, Clara."
