Love at first sight can happen in an instant, even from across a room. Imagine the scene: she's at a party or an event, and she catches sight of someone across the room. Her eyes lock, and she can't look away. There's something about this person that draws her in, something magnetic that she can't quite explain. In that instant, she knows that she has found someone special.
As the night goes on, she finds yourself finding any reason to be near that person. She makes small talk, ask questions, anything to prolong the encounter. It's like she's drawn to him like a magnet. Every time he looks at her, she feels a jolt of electricity go through her body. She can't help but wonder if he feels the same way.
Days turn into weeks, and she finds herself thinking about that person all the time. Sometimes, she wonders if she imagined the whole thing, if it was just a fleeting moment of attraction that isn't meant to be. But every time she sees him again, she feels that same spark. It's a feeling that doesn't go away, and she knows that it's love at first sight.
You closed your book, sighing. You threw your book across the room, at the same time living and hating the scene. After, 23 years, you never felt such an attraction for someone, let alone an attraction at all. You fell in love a few times, always a deception. But that kind of things that only happened in books, that kind of thing would never happen to you. You couldn't even pronounce it with how sad you were about it.
Your phone started to buzz, you friend calling you to remind you that you were already late. "Oh shoot." You groaned. You had to sing tonight. You quickly slipped on a black outfit for the scene and bolted over to your car. You were living in a small village a few miles away from a big city in France. Your parents were living on the other side of the country, you were just here for music and work and living in the village next door was less expensive than living in the city. Plus you were happy because you knew everyone there and everyone knew you.
But when you were entering 'La 25eme heure', one of the famous club of the city, you weren't y/n anymore, you Nyx, the lead singer of the group Astéria. You were a rock band that was quite well known aournd the city. Everyone on a friday night was going to see Astéria just to get off all the troubles from the past week for just a few moments.
Maybe that's how Thomas and the rest of the group heard about it. They were taking a small break from the tour for around four days so they went to a quite secluded part of France where a friend was living. Like that, they were away from the huge amount of media and paparazzi. The friend that was hosting them over proposed to take them to the event of the week at the club back in town. And it was involving rock so of course they were in.
That's how Thomas ended up sitting in a couch, sipping his drink away. "What was the name of the band again ?" Damiano asked to his host. "Astéria, it's a greek name." "That's cool." Ethan nodded as he took another sip. "And you haven't seen anything. The lead singer is a girl." Thomas turned his head. A girl ? That wasn't very common, knowing that not many could go from grave to high so very quickly. "Her nickname is Nyx." Vic stopped to watched the crowd, her interest picked. "Like the goddess ?", "And she has the looks to match. It should start any minute now. Nyx loves to make so crowd wait so the tension is at its max."
It was a typical Friday night at the club, and the music was blaring as people danced and laughed. You were making your last make-up touched before steeping on the scene. The scene went all black, you got into places and the lights were on again. The cheers got loud, making you go deaf for a few seconds. You laughed darkly, becoming Nyx completly. You saluted the people here, as you did every single friday night. You made a quick nod to your bandmates and let the rock begin.
As you stood on stage, you could feel the music coursing through your veins. You were in your element, feeding off the energy of the crowd and belting out lyrics that you had written with your bandmates over hours of rehearsals.
The crowd was roaring, the energy in the room was electric. You, as the lead singer of the band, were in your element, giving it everything you've got. You close your eyes and let the music take over as you belt out the words, feeling the rush of endorphins surge through your body.
And then, as you open your eyes, all of a sudden, everything comes to a halt. You've spotted someone in the crowd, sitting alone, with blond ruffled hair that falls perfectly around his tired features and eyes that sparkle like stars. You can't take your eyes off of him, and suddenly, the music feels like it's taking a backseat to the electricity that's currently coursing through your veins.
You're lost in a haze as your bandmates take over the vocals, but your mind is completely consumed by this person. As the song fades out, you finally come back to reality, realizing that you have to find out their name and where they've been all your life.
Thomas was waiting for the show to start and when the lights got back on, he was stricked by lightning. As he looked into her eyes, he felt a strong and immediate connection. It was as if he had known her for a lifetime, even though she had only been in his field of view for ten seconds. The chemistry between them was intense, and he was drawn to her like a magnet
After about six songs, you thanked the crowd and came down the stage. You got right to the bar where your bandmates were ordering a drink for you. You took photos with some people and thanked them. It was always nice to have their piece of mind on certain things. You took a few shots and boldness was now replacing the adrenaline. That's when you remembered your handsome strager from ealier.
As you scanned the crowd, you caught a glimpse of the man across the room, seated at a table by himself. He was staring at you with such intensity that it gave you a strange feeling in the pit of your stomach. You couldn't look away, and you couldn't believe how drawn you felt to this stranger. You felt a sudden need to know everything about him, to understand what was driving that intense gaze.
As the night wore on, you found herself glancing in his direction more and more often. You couldn't help but feel a connection, a pull towards this man who seemed to be holding her in the palm of his hand with just a look. As your bandmates left the bar, you felt a surge of courage and decided to approach him. You made your way across the room, your heart pounding in your chest.
But then a blond girl jumped on his back. You stopped in your track out cold. Little spikes were spreading across your hands, your hands turned into fists. Was it jealousy ? Probably. He was taken. Of course. How could you have thought of the opposite ? He was perfect. You didn't let yourself glance back at him that you already joined the door to the outside.
He kept glancing at her for the whole night, not leaving her frame. Ethan was talking to him and then Vic, clearly drink jumped on his back, asking him to dance with her. He was about to agree when he saw her step out of the club. He excused himself and started to run through the crowd. He had trouble to move with how much people there was. When he finally got to the exit, he scanned the empty street, only finding some people throwing up. He saw from afar, a car leaving. It was too far for him to catch it, he had lost the chance to even get her name.
The next few days were a blur for the guitarist. He stalked every instagram account that could lead him to her . Nothing. It was like she never existed. He even dreamed of her face. It was getting unhealthy. Just thinking about her voice, her face, he felt a rush of adrenaline and excitement. Like his very own dose of heroine. She was addicting. His friends saw how crazy he went in his room and ordered him to go out and take a coffee.
As the young man stepped off of his bike at the local cafe, he couldn't help but notice a familiar frame. She was standing behind the counter, giving a man his coffee order. He was immediately drawn to her, feeling a strange attraction he had felt that night at that club.
"Hello welcome, what would you like to order today-" you stopped in your track when you turned around and recognised him. Your heart rate going up quickly, then you rememberred that his heart belonged to another. You rolled your eyes but bit the inside of your cheek to stay professional. He smiled politely and miserably told you he wanted a pain au chocolat with his pronounced accent. He wasn't from here. But he sure was European because his accent looked like the ones in the South of France. "Of course, to which name ?" You grabbed a pencil to write on his order. "Thomas." he smailed warmly. Thomas. So that was his name. "Very well. It'll be ready in a few, wait on the side."
As he waited for his order to be called, he couldn't help but keep stealing glances in her direction, and he was amazed at how easily time seemed to fly by. After a few minutes, his order was ready. You called his name without pronouncing the s, like in French and somehow he found it very attractive. HE went to pick up the bag at the end of the counter. He tried to get a glimpse of your apron with your name on it. "Y/n, that's a pretty name., or should I say Nyx." Ha said it in Italian which sounded even better. To be honest, everything sounded better in his mouth. But you couldn't let yourself melt like that. "Thank you. Don't blow my cover." You mumbled shortly. "So, any plans for tonight y/n ?" You contained a scoff. "Don't you have anything to do with your girlfriend." you dryly responded, tapping on your machine.
He frowned at your comment and put the pieces together. "I don't have a girlfriend. But you could be mine instead." He said innocently. He had learn this pick up phrase, listening to Damiano flirt at parties. You blushed at this. You never used to blush at such silly jokes. But he felt different. "Then who was that blond girl with you two nights ago ?" you squinted your eyes. "Oh, you're talking about Vic. She's one of my bandmates. I'm a guitarist." "Really ? what music?" He knew he caught your interest when you looked at him with sparkling eyes. "Rock. Wanna...go out and talked about it ?" You smirked an looked directly at him. "Hhmmm... Maybe I could use a little pause right now." you took off your apron and walked outside with him.
You feel completely at ease with him, as if you've known him your whole life. You're able to hold an effortless conversation with them, exploring deep topics and cracking jokes without a second thought. You find yourself lost in his eyes, unable to look away, and you can't shake the feeling that something magical is brewing between the two of you.
It was now time for you to go back to work. "Will I get to see you again ?" he said as he grabbed your wrist. "Uhm- well I'll be working here tomorrow, and the day after and-" "I meant on a date y/n." he was amused by your nervousness. "A date ? What makes you worthy of it ?" he pouted a little. "Come ooonnn." You couldn't resist, even just that.
"Okay, I agree for a date." he smiled and kissed your cheek. "You'll see, it'll soon turn into two." "I'm ready to bet on that." You responded, even though you were sure to lose.
Hope you enjoyed ! See ya tomorrow !
XOXO
