Nandini stood shocked after hearing his confession, she was happy would be an understatement, she was doing somersault and moreover going mad.

Was it a dream she wandered, with wide smile and sparkling eyes she looked at him.

Nan: You are serious right ??? You are not joking. Tell me you are not joking ?
She asked almost going out of breathe.

She was nervous, breathing heavily or probably suddenly she felt there is no oxygen around her.

Manik walked to her, taking her hand in his embrace caressing her knuckles with thumb he assured her.

His face was calm and the smile was angelic.

Man: You think I will fool around with you on something so serious and important for both of us. I like you too Nandini. And I would love to know you more than us being friends.
He said giving assurance while she nodded with a never-ending smile.

Nan: So are we dating for now ?
She asked clumsily while biting her lips.

Her cheeks had turned red while she looked down at their hands which he still holded firmly.

Listening to her question he chuckled and looked behind them where Maria stood looking all confused.

Maria: Friends ???
She asked looking at Manik and then Nandini who smiled even more and nodded in a Yes.

Maria: Now friend with me too ?
She asked moving towards her side while putting forward two finger ie middle and pointer as a symbol of friendship.

Nandini laughed loudly and picked her up while kissing her fingers.

Nan: Friends.
She said making Maria kiss her cheeks happily.

Man: Sorry to disturb both of you but we have a function to attend in less than 3 hours so shall we get going ?
He asked looking at both while Nandini blushed more biting her lips and Maria simply frowned angrily nodding in a NO.

Maria: I don't want to go anywhere. I want to stay with Nandi.
She told her papa not letting go from Nandini arms as he tried to pull her out from her embrace.

Man: Stop being grumpy again.
He scolded her while she frowned more and hugged Nandini.

Man: We are going together in same place now will you come in my embrace.
He asked while she finally went in his arms.

Maria: Nandi come with me.
She said forwarding her hand towards her while Nandini walked along Manik side holding Maria hand.

In Car,

The drive was silent with Nandini stealing glance of him here and there while Manik's full concentration was on road and GPS.

They had come along way, away from the city which made it peaceful but at the sametime difficult for them to reach on time to the venue.

Man: Stop staring.
He said as he very well knew what she was doing from past 45 minutes.

Nan: I am gazing.
She repily spontaneously while he smirked looking at her.

Man: You can make her rest behind, as sleepyhead won't get up any sooner.
He said referring Maria who was fast asleep in Nandini arms.

Nan: No, I like her like this in my arms. She is so cute and adorable. And it feels so peaceful to hold her.
She replied smiling, caressing her soft cheeks while Maria moved more close to her hiding her face in her dupatta.

Man: My daughter is more fond of you than anyone she has ever met.
He said looking at them.

Nan: Well she is not only fond of me but plans to stay with me too, more than you now.
She smirk looking at him while he shook his head while chuckling.

Man: How much ever she fight and plans to stay grumpy wanting to be with you but at the end of the day she will need me by hook or crook. She can't stay without seeing my face. So Miss Murthy stop taking all credit. She is inseparable from me.
He said smirking, Nandini smiled nodding while agreeing with him.

Nan: That make me Jealous.
She said with a pout while Manik laughed shaking his head.

After sometime she started the conversation again while stammering in start.

Nan: So....I mean....wo
She hesitated while he frowned

Man: What happened ?
He asked keeping his hand on her.

Nan: Down there...what happened between you and bhai ?
She asked being scared to hear his answer.

Her mind played all negative possibilities, with fingers crossed she waited for him to reply.

Man: I and your brother had a talk, which was illogical and unreasonable as your brother was not in his rightful position to talk.
He said with a straight face looking forward while she frowned on his reply.

Nan: Did he say No ?
She asked not getting a clear answer.

Man: I said he was not in his rightful mind or senses to talk something logical or reasonable. By end of the day he will get around and if he doesn't I have asked my assistance to provide me mental asylum number. Where they can take care of him.
He said sarcastically while Nandini looked at him more confused.

Nan: Manik if my brother say a No, then it's over. Nothing is more important to me than him. So please tell me what he said.
She asked seriously looking at him with fear in her eyes.

Man: He didn't say a NO. But he said something more stupid infact he is stupid. And a big idiot too. So trust me I will handle him.
He assured keeping his hand on her head while she nodded.

She couldn't let this go so continued her interrogation.

Nan: What did he say ?
She asked being unsure as by now she knew he didn't want to talk about it.

Man: Nandini, I don't want to make any hasty decision and regret over them. We need alot of time to know and understand each other. It doesn't work the way your brother think's and I don't find it important for you to know what was our conversation about. Few things when I say let me handle I want you to trust me and not bother about them. So for now enjoy the wedding of your bestfriend and forget everything. Do not bother about your brother or your grandmother or anyone else. You deserve to be happy and for that you need to forget things that make you unhappy. Your family abandoned you long back so that was their decision now it's your turn to make your own decision whether you want to still get affected by that or no. And according to me your shouldn't give a damn about it as you have your brother by your side who is more than enough than anyone else. You get that ???
He said taking her hand in his while holded it firmly.

Nandini looked all the while in his eyes as he spoke to her as calmly as possible.

Sighing loudly she nodded to which he smiled and kissed her forehead as they stopped near Navya's place.

Nan: I will take Maria with me.
She said while taking her sleeping figure more close to her if possible.

Man: You should, I don't want her to get up as an angry bird again.
He said kissing his daughter cheeks.

Nan : I already got my clothes here can you ask someone to get Maria dress too here.
She asked while Manik took the bag from back seat handing it over to her.

Nan: You already have.
She said biting her lips.

Man: Yup, I guess my daughter being with you as she is as stubborn as you are probably as little less.
He chuckled while she glared at him to which he laughed raising his hand in defence.

Man : I will see you after sometime. If she trouble's you give me a call.
He said getting down moving to her side to open the door.

Nan: I will.
She replied as he took her hand helping her out.

Man: You will be okay ?
He asked frowning not being sure how will she take his small speech what he gave her sometime back.

Nan: I will be fine.
She assured smiling at him and moved to go inside.

Man: Nandini !!!
He called her out while she turned around again.

Man: I like when you smile, so take out that worried look because till I am there you don't have to worry about anything.
He said looking into her eyes genuinely while she smiled to the fullest nodding positively.

Man: I will see you soon. Till then stay save.
He said driving away.

Back to Abhimanyu

He drove past city while a call drew his attention making him smile.

Abhi : So finally I am at your rescue.
He smirked while talking on speaker

Girl : You promised me, you will help me from this mess.
She said as calmly as possible.

Abhi: I don't make promises to strangers only close love one have privilege to ask for them.
He replied bluntly to the caller.

Abhi : Moreover I specifically told you I will try to help. HELP you understand that word. It's an obligation to you from me ie The Abhimanyu Murthy. So stopped being a b**ch which you have always have being.
He said gritting his teeths while driving with more speed.

Girl: For once can you be alittle kind to me. If that man opens his mouth infront of anyone we all will be in trouble. Everything will just get destroyed you get that ??
She shouted on speakerphone loudly.

Abhi: Not my concern, I have my way out Soha you know that, so stop threatening me.
He shouted angrily.

Soha: Yup right, your way of telling Manik everything huh
She said with scare tone.

Abhi: Nope, I won't put my friend in this damn mess because before that I will make sure you and your father get wipe off from the earth surface.
He said with rage.

Soha: We both want the same thing of not letting Amar reach to Maria so for once can you please put away the differences.
She asked with her voice falling apart.

Abhi: Never, after what you and your father did to my friend I can never be good to you. You could have thought about the consequences before sleeping around which you have being doing.
He said while hitting the steering wheel and holding it back tightly to control his rage.

Abhi: He gave you so many chances to be a better person but you fail him and his efforts always so now you deserve every bit of this misery.
He said cunningly

Soha: I made mistakes, I know but that man is not right for my daughter. She will be save and happy only with Manik. I want her safety, happiness so please for once can you be good to me.
She said with a crying tone.

Abhi laughed sarcastically while shaking his head.

Abhi: Ohh my God, you know why you are so unsuccessful because you act so bad really bad trust me. Even from this side on the phone I can tell you, you are faking out everything. You want me to belief in your motherly concern. Well from where did they suddenly show up out from a woman who has just being a vixen all these years. I still remember the last time I checked, you had a stone black ugly heart so why this sudden change of you being Mother Teresa. Wait I know, sudden appearance of your ex psychopath lover. Am I right ? Surely I am.
He said rudely while scarasm flowed from his each and every word.

Soha: I want Maria save whether you believe me or not.
She said sighing loudly.

Abhi: If you want me to belief you then you have to pay a small price you know nothing is for free.
He replied slyly

Soha: What ?
She voiced out ready to do anything.

Abhi: I will sent you few papers you just have to sign them. Simple as that.
He announce smirking

Soha: What papers ?
She asked with a frown.

Abhi: Divorce papers. You will have to set my friend free. And I promise to keep your secret save.
He said seriously while the other line stayed quite for sometime until she spoke.

Soha: Okay.
She said and heard a death tone as Abhi cut the call with smirk signalling his PA Arjun to do the needful as he sat next to him.
