It only took Officer Miller and Officer Tina 10.3 minutes to arrive at the scene. Connor stayed put analyzing the android. She wasn't the only case of an android lashing out at humans since the revolution, but there wasn't any more reason too. Connor shrugged that thought aside and pulled the officers aside to give them the details, before rushing back to the DPD. For some reason he couldn't get Gavins scared face out of his head. Sure they were on a mission and Gavin should've stayed quiet, but Connor had to remind himself that Gavin was still afraid. This made Connor groan in displeasure. The first thing he was gonna have to do, was to stop scaring Gavin.

"Easier said than done" Connor realized. If he needed Gavin to cooperate with him immediately, he would have to use fear to his advantage. Gavin was still getting used to living with androids and it seems his rotten personality has grown with him since the age of 13 at the oldest. Connor realized the easiest way was to read through Gavin's records. Though it's clearly not what he intended to do, he figured he would only graze the surface. He was especially curious with Gavin's relations to his creator, Elijah Kamski. From what he's gathered from Kamski's public information he didn't have any siblings, and his parents have recently moved to Cuba.

It took Connor a moment to realize that he was about to walk into traffic. Thankfully he alerted himself before waiting for the light to change. He couldn't keep letting himself get distracted like this. He soon received a text from Fowler.

"I knew putting you and Gavin together would do the trick. However the suspects allies are currently being held here and will be questioned tomorrow. Make sure Gavin comes back this time."

"Shit" Gavin literally said there was no chance of getting him to head back to the department. He also didn't want to get Fowler angry at him, again. It's obvious where he was headed now.

On his walk to Gavin's house, just to be a little extra dramatic, it began to rain. Some people brought out umbrellas, other their hoods, but not Connor. He was waterproof and would take advantage of it. Besides he can't catch hypothermia or really any disease. Some people scoffed at him as he sped by but Connor paid no mind to them.

By the time he reached Gavin's door, his clothes were soaking wet. He rang the doorbell and continued to wait. When he was about to go i for another ring the door opened to reveal Gavin in nothing but a blue plaid bathrobe.

"Did you fucking swim here?" he mumbled. Connor looked at him confused and was about to respond. "Never mind, just tell me why you're here."

"Fowler..."

"Nope, I'm not coming back to work today. We caught the suspect and that's that for today." He moved to close the door, only for it to be stopped by Connor's foot.

"Gavin, you will come back to HQ and I will carry you there if I have to."

Gavin reopened the door and glared at Connor. He opened his arms. "Better be a man of your words" he said sarcastically. However Connor was not joking. Before Gavin had a chance to close the door, Connor already had him over his shoulder and closed the door as he began walking to HQ in the rain. Thankfully it was only 18 blocks away.

For the first 5 blocks Gavin was thrashing and trying to get Connor to let him go, saying things like "Put me down now!" "I will phck you up so much!" and other random phrases Connor didn't care to remember. After that Gavin just gave up and allowed himself to be carried back to HQ.

Connor wasn't dumb enough to let Gavin down outside. Instead he literally carried Gavin all the way to Fowlers office. Needless to say they got some weird looks and a lot of laughs from strangers and co-workers. Especially Hank, who Connor and Gavin realized had fallen off his chair in a fit of laughter. Earning a smirk from Connor and a growl from Gavin. Once inside the office, Fowler was not laughing.

"I see you had some trouble getting Detective Reed here."

"Not at all sir" Connor said, putting Gavin down, but immediately got a slap across the face from the detective.

Turning to Fowler, Gavin grumbled "If I ever get carried out of my own house by anyone, even a phcking android, I will..."

"You told me to be a man of my word Detec..."

"Shut your fucking mouth!" Gavin yelled back at Connor.

"That is enough out of you Reed, unless you'd rather hand me your badge right now!" Now Gavin shut up. "I wanted both of you here to congratulate you, and tell you that you'll be questioning the witnesses tomorrow."

"Why couldn't you just email me, or even just text me?" Gavin argued.

"Because I need to make sure you got the message, and you should be professional enough to..."

"Yeah yeah, can I go home now?"

"Only if you take Connor with you, he seems to keep you under control." Fowler said. Gavin's eyes had that familiar flash of fear that Connor dreaded.

"Whoa, I'm not living with this piece of shit. He nearly killed me!" Gavin recalled.

"But he didn't, if he wanted you dead he would've killed you on the spot" Fowler pointed out. That didn't ease Gavin's mind at all.

Gavin's stress level was reaching 89% which is too high for the human system. He had to do or say something.

"Fowler, if I may speak" Connor moved forward so that he was looking at only Fowler. Both the men quieted down and were looking at Connor.  Though he couldn't see Gavin, he could tell his stress level fell drastically down to 57%. "If Gavin doesn't feel safe with my company alone, then perhaps it would be better if I do remain away from him."

It may seem as though Connor was trying to make Gavin feel at ease, but what neither of them knew was that Connor was playing a little mind game.

"I'm not afraid of little tin can like you" Gavin commented.

"Oh good, then you won't mind him staying with you whenever you 2 are working on a case together."

Gavin knew he couldn't win this one. Instead he just stormed out. Probably heading back to his house. Connor looked at Fowler before shrugging his shoulders, and following.

Turns out Gavin was capable of walking faster than Connor originally thought. Gavin was already near the front of HQ, clearly about to leave, but Connor was having none of that. It already took forever to carry Gavin here, and plus it was only late in the afternoon.

"Detective Reed!"

"Connor!" Hank interrupted, putting a hand on his chest. Tried to move past him, but Hank kept himself between Connor and the stairs. "Let him go, he'll be back tomorrow for the interrogation."

Connor gave a sigh of defeat before finally meeting Hanks eyes. It's been a long day, and he can't expect Gavin to be over what happened within a day, it was definitely going to be a while until Gavin decided to give Connor a second chance, or really a chance at all.
