The Descend Of Silverrium III

Thunders and lightnings unfolded through the skies, the shrill air blew by the wind casted the eerie sensations around us. Their emotions gave it all away, anxiousness, fear, and the way their hearts would beat so fast in anticipation, excitement. There's always that little trace of that emotion whenever a battle took place, almost engulfing other emotions in a brink.

Mula dito palang ay maririnig mo na ang malalakas na sigaw ng mga paparating na mga goblins, and from here I can see their forms. Kasinglaki parin namin sila, and they're colours are still green with a little mixture of brown. Madali lang silang talunin in fact, even a small but deep cut is enough to kill them. Pero may isang problema lang kami sa sitwasyong ito...

"Ang dami nila! Now we're greatly outnumbered!" Yazmina stated the obvious.

They're like ants slowly getting to where we currently are. Even if we were to run to the opposite directions, ganoon parin na napapalibutan kami. Mas madami pa ang bilang nila kaysa aa mga nakalaban ko sa Sigillum.

But unlike before, marami na kami at malalakas pa ang mga abilities nila. Pero sa dami nila baka useless din ang lakas ng mga abilities kung hindi din naman ito kakayanin ng mga enerhiya namin. Aware of this though, running away isn't on their top list.

"Our top priority is to find where that voice is coming from, the goblins may just be a diversion and for us to loose a huge amount of energy!" Sigaw ni President.

"Don't worry. Madali lang silang patayin." Sabi ko pabalik.

Tinapon ko ang espada ko sa direksyon ng mga nakalinyang mga goblins. The sword continued to swirl through the wind, hitting the goblins one by one as they disappeared into ashes. Bumalik sa kamay ko ang sarili kong weapon.

I looked back at the rest, and they seem to handle the situation far better than I thought. President with his ice ability managed to deal a great number of goblins. Si Thane naman gamit ang nails niya ay isa-isang tinusok ang mga paparating na halimaw. Ganoon din ang ginagawa ng iba, pero marami lang talaga ang kalaban. Everything we'll do from here kung ipagpapatuloy lang namin to ay magiging useless unless we go directly for the mastermind.

Wait, looking around, bakit parang may kulang? I haven't seen them anywhere. No wonder I feel like something's missing.

"Nasaan si Iyana?" Tanong ko sa kanila, at kahit nakikipaglaban sila ay alam kong naririnig nila ito. "Pati si Jia at si George wala dito, even Vlein."

"Hindi lang sila. Wala din dito si Sahara at si Hana." Thane said.

"That's what I'm about to ask." Freya stated habang sinaksak niya ang isang goblin gamit ang espada ng kalaban at sinipa ito sa iba pang goblins.

Why haven't I noticed the fact that they've been missing since the beginning? Baka may masamang mamgyari sa kanila. Well kung meron man ay nandun kayang-kaya na nilang lahat yun. Ang iniisip ko ngayon ay kung bakit bigla nalang silang nawala. Is this the work of Silverrium?

"Walang katapusan ang kalaban. They just keep coming one after another!" Inis na salita ni Thane as his nails pierced throught the goblins.

"Kailangan na nating mahanap kung sino man ang nasa likod ng lahat ng ito." Yazmina said.

"Easier said than done." Mike replied, annoyed.

Among this chaos, may bigla kaming narinig na halakhak. Hindi ito isang masayahing halakhak katulad ng ginagamit ng mga masasamang tao. Instead, it's the kind of laugh that would make you shiver due to how deep it was. Kahit malalim ang boses na ito ay ang lamig pakinggan.

"I have overestimated you. Bumaba na nga talaga ang mga tao sa panahong ito. Soon, the era of monsters and other worldly-beings will come. At hindi ko hahayaang mamuhay sa tabi namin ang mga mahihinang tao." Pakiramdam ko ay mas lumalapit at lumalapit ang boses na ito sa kung saan kami that we can't help but to walk backwards and look around.

Tumigil na sa kakatakbo papunta sa amin ang mga goblins, this guy must have been controlling them. Pero hindi parin sila nawala, nanatili lang talaga silang nakabantay at nakapalibot sa paligid namin, and their numbers aren't decreasing at all!

"Siguro ay iniisip niyo na walang kwenta ang mga sinasabi ko, and that's just the sign that humans are ignorant. For over thousands of centuries monsters have coexisted with humans, peace was visible. Until you grew to dislike and fear us, then you humans sealed our peace, our whole existence. Ngayong nakawala na ako, hindi ko papalampasin ang pagkakataong ito. I will make sure I will get our revenge."

Well I can't blame the people from early ages. Humans have the tendency to do such things lalo na kung alam nilang mahihina kami kumpara sa kanila. Fear has driven humanity to lock their existence away from thr world. But I understand the feeling of being locked away dahil lang sa natatakot ang iba sa pwede mong gawin.

That painful feeling of wanting to be freed, that you can only imagine what the air feels like, how the sunlight touches your skin, or how the water would make you feel weightless.

"Itigil mo na yang mga pinagsasasabi mo at harapin mo kami!" Sigaw ni Mike.

"You don't understand. You never will." Bigla nalang may umilaw hindi malayo sa unahan namin.

The light was too bright na napapapikit na lamang kami. Before we knew it, he was already mumbling some words na hindi namin maintindihan dahil sa hina ng pagkabigkas niya ng mga ito.

"Light creation magic: Piercing Sunlights." Huli niyang bigkas at mas lumiwanag pa ang kalangitan.

Monsters can use magic? Anong nangyayari dito? I should have known hindi lang siya isang basta-bastang halimaw. Is he actually Silverrium? And light magic?

Rays of sunlights came through our direction, penetrating everything. Isa isa nitong tinusok ang mga bato at lupa sa paligid. Hindi namin ito makita o maiwasan manlang dahil sa bilis nito, who can even defeat speed of light?!

Mabilis kami pinalibutan ng malaking barrier ni Mark Sawyer, that guy under Mike's lead. His barriers can reflect any attacks especially light, but would that be enough?

Halos wala kaming makita sa labas ng barrier, tanging mga alikabok lamang dala ng atake sa lupa ang makikita namin at kakaibang tunog ng kung anong nabibiyak.

"Mabuti nalang at mabilis mong—" hindi na tinuloy ni Mike ang sasabihin niya nang makitang duguan si Mark sa katawan, maraming butas ang makikita dito at hindi tumitigil ang pag-agos ng dugo.

He was already hit before he used his ability, ginawa niya yun oara lang hindi kami matamaan. Tumakbo si Mike papunta sa kawawang lalaki at sabay sa pagbagsak niya s alupa ay ang pagkawala ng barrier. Kung naging mas mabilis lang sana siya, hindi siya matatamaan.

"Mark? Mark!" Mike called out beside his body.  "Gumising ka!" But the guy was already unconscious.

"Huminginga pa siya, pero hindi din magtatagal ay..." hindi na kailangan patapusin ni Yazmina dahil alam na naming lahat ito. Mamamatay din siya sa huli kung hindi maaagapan ang mga sugat niya. He was hit in his vital parts, and he might die in blood loss.

"Bw***t!! Agh!! Magbabayad ka sa ginawa ko kung sino ka man!!" Ah...his anger...sa sobrang emosyon na nararamdaman niya ay nagiging enerhiya ito para sa akin. Though I can't share the same sentiment dahil hindi ko gaano kakilala ang taong ito, same with the others. Reason why we can only stare in silence.

"Mark...hintayin mo ako. Ilalabas din kita dito." His regret only powered up his anger more. Masama ito, dahil magpapadalos-dalos lang siya sa gagawin niya.

"Oh? That was fast. Patay na agad ang isa sa inyo? Ang hihina niyo naman kung ganoon."

Nawala na ang alikabok at may nakita kaming isang figure ng lalaki na lumalakad. His long silver hair was swaying along with the breeze, as his steps echoed through the sudden silence.

May hawak siyang malaking espada with unique designs. Mahaba din ang suot niyang itim na long-sleeved na damit, and his chest part was opened, kaya makikita mo ang pulang bilog na kwintas na nakapalobot sa leeg niya.

"Ngayon, kalabanin niyo ako dahil isa-isa ko kayong papatayin." His cold voice brought shiver down my spine. Ramdam ko ang enerhiya niya, malakas siya. He's not our usual opponent na makakaya mong talunin sa ilang ulit na labanan.

"Humanda ka!" Sigaw ulit ni Mike at sumugod sa kalaban.

Habang papunta siya ay sinummon niya ang weapon niyang isang malaking boomerang with spiky edges at inatake ang kalaban gamit nito. Pero walang kahirap-hirap lang na iniwasan ng kalaban ang atake niya and instead, he kicked Mike to the side kaya natilapon ang isa sa may malalaking bato. As his body hit the boulders of rocks, ay nawasak ang mga ito. Blood then came rushing forth from his head dahil sa pagkauntog.

"Damn it! H-hindi pa..ako tapos!" Sabi niya at sinubukang tumayo.

"It's useless. Kahit magsama-sama man kayo ay hindi niyo ako makakaya." True. His strength alone could rival or even surpass that of a Saint. "Ah ginamit ko nga pala ang mahika ko to keep your other comrades from interefering. One with a spatial ability, at napasama nalang ang iba, ang kukulit kasi nila. By now, baka patay na sila. Being surrounded by hundreds of my monsters." Si Iyana!

Ginamit ni President ang ice ability niya para ma freeze ang kalaban, and he did it! Pero hindi din nagtagal ay nawasak din ang mga yelo, na para bang wala lang ito sa kaniya. Thane with his teleportation ability tried to teleport his nails inside his body pero para bang may nakapalibot na light barrier sa katawan niya ay nawawala ang mga nails ni Thane sa tuwing lumalapit ito sa kalaban.

Sabay namang sumugod si Yazmina at si Hanzel pati narin si Renma pero hindi pa nga sila nakalapit ay natilapon na sila the moment he swung his big sword around. Then President and Thane tried to do an actual combat against him pero hindi talaga nila siya matamaan. He's completely out of our league, mas malakas siya kaysa sa mga halimaw na nakalaban ko noon, even stronger than all those people I've fought with all my life.

Para bang....para bang kinakalaban namin si kuya ngayon. And yes, my brother is that strong or even pretty much stronger, or are they even? His energy level is rising at nakikipaglaro lang siya sa amin knowing that he can take us out whenever he wants.

"Thane!" Tawag ni President sa kaniya to warn hin about an incoming attack.

Thane just as then teleported behind the enemy pero kung akala niya ay nailagan niya na ang espada ay nagkakamali siya. The enemy slashed his sword backwards behind him at natamaan nito si Thane, causing him to stumble upon the ground. Nagpalabas si President ng yelo niya, releasing his strongest attack, and slowly, the ground turned into ice.

The energy is building up in the air, ang laki ng pinapalabas niyang enerhiya and I admit that President is strong but, the latter only used his light magic to pierce through the incoming huge ice attack at tinamaan nito si President. A light was stabbed through his stomach kaya napaluhod siya sa lupa, but the ice remained around us.

"I've only used one spell so far. Hanggang doon lang ba talaga ang makakaya niyo? Wasn't even enough for a warm-up." Tapos ay tumingin siya sa direksyon ko.

No, not me. But behind me. I'm feeling that odd energy again, kakaiba talaga ito at tumataas lamg at tumataas ang nararamdaman kong enerhiya sa likod ko.

Freya.

"I'v found my match." Rinig kong bulong ni Freya.

Is she finally showing her ability for the first time? Base from the enegy she's releasing, malakas siya. Her energy is too much, enough to even move the air around her. Her long red hair was swaying as well, sabay nito ay ang kaonting pag-glow ng mga berdeng kulay niyang mga mata. In the middle of those green emerald eyes, there's that ring, a mixture of green and dark, which makes her seem so intimidiating.

"Freya...h-huwag kang magpada..dalos-dalos." Mahinang sabi ni Thane na ngayonay sinusubukang tumayo.

"Huwag niyo akong itulad sa inyo. I am special, special than any of you. I am gifted. Mga rank students kayo diba? Then how come you were defeated with just a small attack like that? If it were the rank one, she could have finished this already in few minutes. Then you, isang rank two at isang rank three. Aren't you suppose to be the next strongest students in the Academy? What a joke." Freya said with a cold expression on her face, not showing anything but anticipation. "Higit sa lahat, ayaw kong magpahuli sa kaniya."

Lumakad siya sa unahan ko, not even eyeing me as if I wasn't there. It annoyed me, pero sa lakas niya ngayon, isang katulad ko na may kaonting enerhiya lang na napapalabas ay hindi niya mapapansin. She's on whole another level.

Tinaas niya nalang ang kamay niya, at nagulat ako na may lumabas ditong isang espada, katulad ito ng espada ng kalaban! If her energy will continue to rise just like this, she will soon reach the enemy's level.

"What can a copycat could possibly do?" He mocked her. Copycat? Does that mean Freya copied his weapon just now?

"Defeat you, of course."

Mabilis na sumugod si Freya sa kaniya, slashing her sword to his direction. He blocked it with his own weapon, the sound of the clashing steels caused a small friction, kaya nakikita ko ang kaonting glow sa mga espada nila. Nagapalitan sila ng atake gamit ang sarili nilang mga espada, at mas bumibilis ang galaw nila bawat segundo.

My eyes can barely just keep up to their speed. Tinulak ng kalaban si Freya palayo sa kaniya as another rays of lights appeared above her, all in a form of a sword. Isa isa nitong inatake si Freya, but the latter just avoided every attacks and blocks some with her sword. Dumadagdag lang ang kakaibang enerhiya na nararamdaman ko sa kaniya.

Bigla nalang lumitaw ang kalaban sa likod ni Freya, almost hitting her back with his sword but just as that was about to happen, tumalikod si Freya at nagpalitan na naman sila ng atake. Lumayo ng kaonti ang kalaban sa kaniya, pero sinundan niya ito dahil sa bilis niya and due to their strengths the ground was continously shaking and even breaking.

"The reign of Silverrium has just began." So he is, after all, Silverrium. "Huwag mo akong maliitin bata." Lumipad si Silverrium sa ere, as he lifted his other hand. "Light creation magic: Omnidirectional Light Waves."

He sent out waves of lights in all directions, natamaan nito ang mga bati, kahoy, buildings, at lahat ng ito ay nasusunog. Mamamatay kami kung matatamaan kami ng ganyan. Agad kong ginamit ang chains ko para makiha ang iba papunta kung nasaan ako, malayo sa laban. As my chains one by one took them behind me, mas lumalapit ang light waves. Before it even get to hit us, I surrounded ourselves with my chains connected to my swords.

My chains are embeded with energy, which makes it stronger than any normal chains. Kaya ramdam kong lumampas lang ang ligjt waves sa amin, not even a single light passed through.

"Your weapons are really something else." Sabi ni President, laying down on the ground kasama si Thane at si Mark, pari narin si Mike habang ang iba ay nakaupo.

"We'll be safe here for a while. Pero kung magpapatuloy ito ay mauubos lang tayo ng kalaban." Wika ko.

"We underestimated him." Hanzel said. "Kailan ba dadating ang reinforcements?"

"Kung saan patay na tayo lahat." Sabi ni Yazmina, nagagalit siya dahil wala siyang magawa. They all are.

"You don't believe Freya can defeat that guy?" Tanong ko, and they all looked at me.

"It's not in the matter of believing, Keila. This is reality. Oo at malakas si Freya, at sa totoo lang ay nasurpresa kaming lahat sa ginawa niya. To think that she can keep up wih that monster in a human form is simply amazing and it requires a lot of strength and energy and experience. Minaliit namin ang leader ng White Brigade, ngayon nakikita na namin kung bakit naging leader siya ng group." Mike said, it was the first time of me seeing him praise someone. I've always thought of him as someone eith greta deal of confudence and arrogance.

"Pero minaliit niya rin ang kalaban. Hindi lang hanggang diyan ang makakaya ni Silverrium, at sigurado ako alam mo ito. No matter how strong Freya is, the enemy surpasses hers a hundredfolds. Nakikipaglaro lang talaga ang kalaban sa atin, reason why he still hadn't killed us when he has numerous chances of doing so." Dagdag pa niya.

"If we believe na dadating ang reinforcements, we need to buy more time." Sabi ni Renma. "Don't get Freya wrong though. Alam niya na hindi niya matatalo ang kalaban, the way she glanced at me earlier, she's just buying more time to occupy the enemy's attention. She's telling us to think of something. Alam ko dahil matagal ko ng nakasama si Freya. What do you think is the reason why I chose to join White Brigade than Sleberian Cross? Because she's special."

Freya is indeed special. Her energy is different from the rest of them. Hindi siya normal, there's something about her that makes her energy strong. At kahit hindi nila nararamdaman ang ganitong klaseng enerhiya, ay alam kong naiintindihan nila ito.

"So ano na ang gagawin natin?! Mamatay lang tayo kung magpapatuloy ito at alam niyo yun!" Mike suddenly exclaimed, bately sitting up pero tinulungan siya ni Yazmina.

His head is still bleeding pero hindi ito gaano kalala. President's wound is still critical pero tumigil na ang dugo dahil ginamit jiya ang mga yelo jiya to close the wound up. Though he still needs medical attention.

"Kumalma ka Thompson—" he interrupted Hanzel.

"Kumalma?! Si Mark...nakikita niyo ba ang sitwasyon niya? Kailangan niyang magamot! I'm not like you all who can just calm down habang tinitignang unti-unting namamatay ang kaibigan ko!" Malakas siyang sinuntok ni Yazmina sa tiyan, and before he could even say anything, ay tinakpan niya ang bubig ni Mike.

"Please just...just calm the hell down." Mahinahon niyang salita, barely whispering. "Kailangan nating makaisip ng plano, and we need your cooperation. I assure you hindi mamamatay si Mark." They actually have that close bond to each other enough to make him listen to her and nod.

"Now let's hear this plan." Thane said at umupo, napatingin na naman sila sa akin.

A plan?! Ugh! Sa anong banda ba ng sitwasyon na ito ang hindi nila maintindihan?! We're currently facing a monsterous enemy with a strength probabaly enough to destroy the country at sa tingin ba talaga nila makakaya namin ang kalaban gamit ang kung ano mang plano?! Nothing works against that monster!
