it was now the end of the day, ben and max just changed into some comfortable clothes, currently sitting in maxine's room talking about today. "alright. elle, reese. it's your bed time." ben said, turning to the girls who were on the ground playing with olaf. "what! but i don't wanna!" elle whined. "girls. you have too." mal said, as the two siblings stood up and carried the two girls who were whining to the bed. max watched in amusement as ben tried to get them to sleep, "just sleep guys please!" he begged, "uh-uh. no!" elle and reese pouted, max sighed. "if you go to sleep, i'll let you eat ice cream for breakfast. and i'll get jackson to sleepover." max said smiling, the two younger girls looked at each other before jumping back into bed. "how do you do it?" ben sighs, "ben. get jack." max said, he nods and after a few minutes. jackson came in with sapphire and parker. after almost half an hour, they finally went to sleep. then ben suddenly got an idea, he stood up grabbing max, sapphire, and parker. quietly sneaking out, "what are you doing?" sapphire whispered, "we're gonna go outside in the yard, get everyone, lay down, and talk." ben said, max shrugged.

ben ran to evie and mal's room, obviously they came. they ran to all the other dorms, which were jay, carlos, doug, lucas, riley, jane, lonnie, and somehow chad and audrey. the group all quietly ran behind ben who was leading them to his and max's yard, their yard was actually very beautiful. the grass was green filled with flowers, some trees with two wooden swing set on one of the trees. there's arrows on the trees from max, and more. as they stepped outside, the group all admired it and walked around. then somehow ended up sitting in a circle, "ben. why'd you bring us here?" lonnie asked, everyone turned to him. "well. since we're all okay now. just wanted to hang out, stare at the stars, enjoy each other and talk." ben smiled, that warmed up their hearts. after a few minutes, they all lied on the grass staring up at the stars. max cuddled up with carlos with his arm around her, "thank you ben and max. for taking a chance on us." evie said cutting the silence, ben and max smiled. "of course." max smiled, "no problem. i'm glad you like it here." ben said, "oh i definitely do." carlos said, kissing max's cheek.

she laughed a little. "wow everything happened so fast." riley said, everyone hums agreeing with her. "yeah. funny how all our mindsets changed. we all came here for a different reason." max said, "but we chose what we wanted." she whispered, making everyone smile. "i really hope nothing changes. our dreams just got bigger." mal said, max hummed. nobody answered, they just stared up at the sky admiring the stars. max looked around at everyone who was completely stuck in their thoughts, and as always. this is descendants, so music started playing.

trying things we didn't know

max started singing, looking at carlos who was smiling.

"all our fears became our hopes
climbed out every locked window." carlos sang, ben following after him.
"rode a lion's mane and fell upon the rain!" he said.

"we can reach the constellations
trust me, all our dreams are breaking out. no, we're never gonna turn to dust,
yeah, all we really need is us." maxine said, sitting up.

"don't be scared to close your eyes
no, we're never gonna die, we'll be the stars." evie sang, as everyone now started to sit up as well.

"oh, no, we're never gonna step too far
yeah, we're holding on to who we are. when it's time to close your eyes. they will see us in the sky, we'll be the stars!

"we'll be the stars!" they sang together.
"let me in." mal sang, "hold me close." evie continued. "fill my heart with simple notes." doug sang after, "so when it's hard to see." audrey sang. "you are there, reminding me" ben finishes.

"take my breath, and hold me high
so i can feel the kingdom lights." sapphire sang, "glowing under me." jane continued. "it's in our reach, we're breaking out!" they all sang.

we'll be the stars!" they sang, as they all stood up and started dancing with each other, laughing with genuine smiles.

they all spun around, enjoying why ben had planned and ended up on the ground again. staring up at the stars, holding each other's hands.

"we'll be the stars." the group finished, smiling happily. they stayed like that for a few minutes until some guards came in, "hey! why are you all up! it's past curfew!" the guards say, the group all jumped up laughing and running past them. "come to my room!" max whispered, as they all followed her into her room. that night, they had to move the three kids and olaf to ben's room. and they used max's room for a movie night and sleepover. nothing feels better than this.
