The day continued and Ami was thinking about the letter whole day. She was trying to figure out who the hell is trying to threaten her and what did they want. She kept exploring through everybody's mind with her new power and was reading everybody's thoughts whom she thought to be the main suspects, she left no stone unturned but, she gained no information. Drake on the other hand had said that he would come up with a plan.

During the Engmefa period, Ami had her class in the Assembly Garden so, she told her notebook and a pen and went to the Garden. When she was out in the dazzling sun, she could see a fair, beautiful lady of about 30 years old who was wearing a long black dress which reached her feet and looked about 5 feet 10 inches tall and was wearing a black hat who was darkly staring at Ami. Ami approached her with a smile on her face and thought that she would read her mind to know why she was staring at her in that way. To Ami's surprise she could hear no thoughts or no emotions around her. What's happening? Why can't I hear anything? Ami was in dilemma but, she forced a smile and approached her.

Ami(set smile): Good evening, Khru. My name is Ami.

Khru(scrutinized): Well, well don't try so hard Wimefa. You can't read my mind. I am a very powerful person and professional in my field who can easily control her feelings, emotions and thoughts.

Ami(wide): I am sorry Khru for trying that. But, how did you know and how can you control your thoughts?

Khru(serious): I am not here to answer questions, Wimefa. Well, it's all because of the subject. Engmefa is a very powerful and the hardest subject to learn and I don't think a girl like you would be able to do it. So, don't waste your and my precious time and go run to Headmaster and tell him I don't want to learn the subject.

Ami(a little angry but smiles): Khru, I am not the type of girl who plays with flames, I am a fireball myself, so I am not afraid of anything and thank you for caring about me, but I can take my own decisions.

Khru (smiles evilly): Fine, but don't tell me later I didn't warn you.

Ami(eyes sparkled): Ok. Khru, can you tell me a spell which helps me to control myself by reading others mind. You know it's very distractive and disturbing for me. I am not able to sleep properly and not even able to listen to classes?

Khru(glanced): First, spells are not something that can make you control something mentally. They only help you to control someone or something physically. Second, everything takes time and patience and to achieve something you need concentration and focus. So, you can't control this magic in one day and it's impossible to control it with only one spell.

Ami(sad): Oh, ok.

Then, Ami took her seat on the ground and Khru was walking in front of Ami. She told Ami that she has to maintain notes of her class and would be checked by her once in a week and she would give her daily assignments and weekly projects. She also told that, Ami had to prepare her research about people's emotions, behaviour and thoughts and had to submit it in the 2nd week of the coming month. Khru Engmefa started explaining Ami the basics. Ami had hard time with her, because she was very strict and would not wait for her. She had to increase her writing speed to catch up with her and simultaneously listen, because she would not repeat it. Ami had only one thought revolving in her mind Why am I getting so strict punishment and that too for my whole school life? Ami didn't even have time to think over her thought, she had to concentrate. The last five minutes of the class were left and Khru Engmefa stopped pacing the ground. She turned to Ami.

Khru(stern): Now, I might tell you one spell which can help you but, not completely.

Ami(getting up): Thank you Khru. Something is better than nothing.

Khru(smirks): Don't thank me too early, this is a very powerful spell infact, spells in Engmefa are very powerful and should be handled with care. While doing magical spells, you need to be clear with your thoughts and should not think about anything else other than the spell you want to cast. The more you concentrate on your spells the more powerful they'll be. So, the spell is 'DEFY ESP.' This spell depends on how you cast it. If it's powerful enough you maybe not able to hear anyone's thoughts and only can hear the ones you wish to and if you are not good in casting the spell you can hear the thoughts of anyone in a radius of 5 feet around you and then it goes on based on how powerful your magic is.

Ami thinks about what Khru has said for a moment and then, takes a deep breath, closes her eyes and brings her both hand together to cast the spell in the fairy style and says the spell loud and clear out as well as in her mind. Then, a white small cloud appears around her forehead and then vanishes in 1 second.

Khru(blank): Well, that was a good one, but you should learn how to cast spells fastly and properly. And assignments from tomorrow.

Not even waiting for an answer from Ami, Khru vanished in thin air and Ami felt really strange about her. Is she a normal woman? Why is she everytime so in hurry and she was too moody too? How can I bear her. Hush! With that thought Ami, started walking towards the hall to pick her bag for the next class and the last class of the day Life Sciences.

The Life Sciences went smoothly and Anan had given them their daily assignments and then left. Ami had informed Anu that she would come 1 hour late because she had work in the library and being a prefect she had to stay. Anu nodded in understanding and told that she would inform Ma about it and told her not to worry. Ami felt bad in hiding the truth but, she could not pull Anu with her in this. She felt that this way they could be safe and out of trouble so, she did it that way.

Drake met her, in the hall before 10 minutes.

Drake(serious): Now, Ami listen to the plan.

Ami(rolled her eyes): Why do we need a plan? I will go there and break their bones.

Drake (serious): No, Ami you won't do anything like that unless they attack. Now, when you reach there at 4:15, I will be just a shelf behind you. Cast a protection spell on yourself, when they arrive before you, try to act afraid and ask them why are they doing this? We should first get the information then we can act. Once, our information is out then handle them yourself and then I will come and erase their memories. Ok?

Ami(thinking): Fine, but, why do we need information?

Drake(explaining): We should know why they are doing this? Or are they themselves doing this or someone else is instructing them? Anything can happen.

Ami(gazing): You have a point, fine we will go by your plan.

Drake(a very bright smile): Then come on.

Ami(smiles): You seem to be happy, what happened?

Drake(comes closer): Should there be a reason to be happy?

Ami looks into his eyes and was now able to listen his inner feelings.

Drake(inner feelings): I don't want to hurt Ami, by saying that I am depressed because Spark was avoiding me the whole day, whenever I tried to speak to her.

Ami(eyes were glossy but she smiled): Drake, you don't have to hide your feelings from me. I am your friend and you know sharing your sorrows makes them half.

Drake(dumbfounded): But, how did you know? (Realising): Well I should have known that. Spark has been avoiding me since the morning and I don't know why? I asked her if she wants to go to the Folisa centre as you told that she had stomach ache, but she just denied it and went off. Ami, tell me the truth was she really having stomach pain?

Ami(looking here and there): Well, Spark didn't really have a stomach pain (Drake glaring at her). I am sorry, she didn't have a stomach pain, I just told you that because to make you feel happy and Spark was also avoiding me when I went to the Mermath class and I also don't have any idea why?

Drake(to Ami's surprise smiles): Well, thank you about thinking about me as a friend. I think we should talk about Spark later and go because it's 4:15.

Ami(smiles): Ok!

Then, they head towards the library in silence and Drake stands behind the door when Ami opens it and signals her to go forward. Ami does as he says and goes in. When she enters she finds no one, she goes on further through the library and towards the end. Behind the second last bookshelf, she hears voices and thinks that they might be there. She signals Drake to hide behind the third second last bookshelf and she goes on in front the last bookshelf where she heard the voices. She gasped when she saw who all were there.

From Drake's POV,
Ami had told me to hide behind the second shelf and I obeyed her. I heard her gasping when she looked at them. I didn't know why. Then I hear her talk.

Ami(shouts): Was that your letter?

A voice (familiar one): Yes, Ami we called you here.

Ami(scowling): What do you want?

Another male voice (cold): Well, well we did this for our entertainment and didn't expect anything other than your withdrawal.

Ami(confused): What do you mean, talk directly you idiots?

A girly voice (loud): How dare you talk to us like that? Remember we still have the proofs. Now, first thing is, we want you to become a slave to us and withdraw yourself from the school.

Ami(shouting): Never ever and I don't think this is the one you want from me.

Another girl voice(this sounded very familiar to Drake): You really are very smart Ami. Well these were our second thoughts our first thought is your magical powers. So, what do you say?

Ami(smirks): Why not a big punch on your faces, huh?

Ami didn't even take time for them to absorb what she had told and then I heard noises of many pains and bone cracking. Then, after sometime I heard nothing and I felt weird, so I decided to check and I did, I peeked through the books and saw no one there expect a breathless Ami, who I think was tired of punching and kicking them. Then, I saw her breaking down on her knees and strated crying softly. My heart sank seeing her like this. I couldn't see her like this and so I ran to her and placed a hand on her shoulder and asked her what happened, she wiped her tears and then stood up and turned around me with a smile on her face.

End of Drake's POV.

Ami(smiles): Nothing, I erased their memories which I learnt today and then they went off, I think you didn't see them.

Drake(smiles at her but knows she was hiding something): Who were they?

Ami(looks away): Cain and his two friends, Kaia and her gang.

Drake(looks at her): And?

Ami(looks at him): What do you mean by and? That's it they were the ones.

Drake knows that she was hiding something from him but, doesn't ask her further and let go off the topic while, Ami listens to Drake's thoughts and feels guilty because she couldn't tell him what happened and whom she saw. So, she kept quiet and she was only happy that she erased the memories.

Drake(smiles): Well, I think we should take a walk around the recreational ground and there you can tell me everything in detail what happened?

Ami(half willingly): Ok!

Then, they both approached towards the recreational ground through the wizard/witch sojourn but, Ami didn't even look around she was framing a story about how to hide the person she saw from Drake. She knew when he will get to know the truth, he would be very sad but, Ami was not going to hide anything from him. She was planning to tell him now, but she didn't know how? On their way to the recreational ground Ami kept thinking about how to tell and when she stepped out from the sojourn, a calming brezee touched her face and she felt peaceful.

Drake(staring at her): I think now you are fine.

Ami(blank and staring at the ground): What do you mean?

Drake(smiling): Ami, you were crying inside. What happened?

Ami ignored the question and kept walking further on the grass of the recreational ground and Drake ran and stood in front of her.

Drake(stopping her): You know, you can't hide that.

Ami(bit her lip): Fine, I was just thinking about what they told, that's it.

Drake(narrowed his eyes): What did they tell?

Ami(took a deep breath): Why is everyone back of my powers?

Drake(seeing tears forming in her eyes): Because you are special and I don't think you are crying for that?

Ami(her jaw clenched): They said that they would harm Anu and Yash, if I don't give my magical powers to them and they also said that they would make their life hell. I don't have any problem if they did that to me but, to if they do anything to my brother and sister they need to pay something more than their lifes and so, I just saw a glance of my brother and sister being in pain which made me cry, that's it.

Drake (smiles): Don't worry they will not do anything to you or your family, because they don't have guts to do it. Remember, when they wrote the letter they didn't even mention their names that means they can't do anything. So cheer up!

Ami(smiles): Yes, now tell me how was your day and your punishment?

Drake(sits down on the ground): Well, it was tiring and my punishment will start at 5 and that would be too boring.

Ami(laughs): Well, I think I should be get going.

Drake(looking at the ground): Ami, who was the other person?

Ami(turning away): Whom are you talking about?

Drake(gets up): Ami don't hide, I know there was one more person present there and you are hiding it from me?

Ami(looks on the ground): No, Drake I am not hiding anything there was really no one.

Drake(serious): Ami, please don't lie. I don't have anyone other than you, whom I really trust. I lost my parents, the friends whom I trusted and have are just for name sake and now you are also hiding things from me?

Ami, looks into his eyes and then starts to walk away, Drake shouts her name but, she doesn't listen to him. She heavy heartedly walks away from him and then she hears Drake say something.

Drake(sad and shouts): Fine, don't tell me, I know you don't trust me and I know you don't even like me as a friend. But, Ami remember if you don't tell me now, you can't tell me forever.

Ami(turns around and sees him on his broom, standing on it on a height): Are you mad, Drake? Come down now.

Drake(shouts while standing): No, I will not. Till you don't say the name.

Ami changes herself into a fairy and flies fastly towards Drake and tries to catch him but, no luck Drake was already riding on his broom, in standing position and Ami kept chasing him, but no use he was too fast.

Ami(breathing heavily): Drake, why are yo doing this?

Drake(stops and folds his hands): I want the name, Ami.

Ami(explaining): Drake, I am doing this for your sake. If I tell you the name you will only get pain and nothing else. So, let it be.

Drake(nodding in negative): No, I won't be I promise you that.

Ami(explaining): No, Drake, please try to understand. Somethings should be kept a secret and that's only the good way of handling things.

Drake(shouts): Ami, it's my life and I decide what I should hear or not. Maybe, I won't be sad as you are thinking.

Ami(angry): Then, this is also my life. It's my decision to tell you or not, and I won't.

Drake(rolling his eyes): Come on, Ami please tell me.

Ami (thinks for a moment and then): Fine, but first come down.

Drake rides downwards and then steps down from his broom and then Ami steps after him and Drake vanishes his broom and Ami her wings.

Ami(explaining): Drake, don't get upset, you know things like this happen. You should try to get through this and....

Drake(cutting her in the middle): Name?

Ami(takes a deep breath): Spark!

Drake's smiles fades away and his jaw tightened. He didn't know that his eyes had started watering and his  heart was sinking down like a titanic ship.

Drake(welled up): What? Are you out of your mind?

Ami(trying to calm him down): I knew Drake you won't believe me and you would be hurt. But,....

Drake(his eyes glistening): Yes, I wouldn't believe you and yes I would be hurt. Ami is this the truth?

Ami doesn't say anything and justs nods her head and then Drake without saying anything leaves from the ground and Ami sighs with only one thought in her mind Drake, I know you will get through this. I think he needs time and space. With that thought Ami walks towards the Assembly Garden and then teleports herself................
