From Ami's POV,

The cold wind caressed my cheek, passing through my bushy hair and moving swiftly from where it came from. I stand there under the bright light of the moon and the darkness of the huge trees swaying in the wind. The night is peaceful, yet it has something that gets me to move forward. Strolling across, my mind is blank, just like the blackboard waiting for someone to fill it with a meaningful message.

I think the wait came to an end, but the blackboard turned into a canvas because the person was right in front of me, I couldn't look at his face, yet his persona attracted me to him. I tried to paint the canvas with many pictures while trying to move slowly toward the person, but none of the shapes fit in. Suddenly....

End of Ami's POV,

Ami sits on the bed breathless, with her eyes shut tight. She listens to someone moving around the room with small footsteps, approaching her. Waiting for the person to come closer, she jerks at a hand on her shoulder and opens her eyes.

"Goodness, Ami," Anu shouts in a whisper, signaling to come out because they can wake Ma up. Ami slowly breathes in full and follows behind Anu and Yash.

"What are you guys up to in the middle of the night?" Ami questions before reaching the living room.

"The same, that you are doing right now," Anu counters while throwing some light into the room.

"Just a bad dream," Yash spills in the conversation.

"Why would I be in the woods, behind an old man?" Yash huffs and throws himself on the couch.

"Wait, what?" Anu half-shouts, getting a hush from Ami and Yash.

"I woke up too because of the woods and a man." Ami and Yash try to absorb what Anu has told them.

"Well,.." Ami interjects, "I had the same dream of woods, but I don't know who the person was because I didn't see the person clearly," Ami stops, and they stare at each other for a good 2 seconds.

"That means, we had the same dream," Yash said, trying to get some logic out of the conversation that happened.

"Well, factually speaking, yes," Anu whispers.

Suddenly, the room is pitch dark. "Not again," Yash huffs.

"This is the third time in the week already," Anu said, tired of the power cuts.

Ami reaches out to them, and they walk in a line, bumping into the fridge at first and then seating themselves at the dining table. The darkness provided them with the liberty to bring their internal emotions out and form opinions on the conversation that they had.

"Do you think, that having the same dream is possible?" Ami blubbers out her thoughts. Anu and Yash keep the silence intact. Ami could sense that they were in a dilemma, so she raised another question, "Should we leave this topic here?" Still, there is no answer.

In a small tone, "No," Ami, Anu, and Yash sprint together for a second when they hear the voice. The room brightens up, leaving the three kids, tightly stuck to each other in nervousness.

Ami shouts, "Mom." There is no response, only the snores of two adults peacefully sleeping in the house are heard. A swoosh in the kitchen leaves them taking a step back. Ami slowly tries to go and check, with Anu and Yash following closely behind. Ami slowly and shakily turns on the kitchen lights, revealing nothing. Suddenly, a swoosh in the living room sends the three children shouting toward the bedroom, but they stop.

The three kids, freeze at their spot when they see a six feet old man, in his 60s, in a black tuxedo, and instead of a bow, a pointed-hat-shaped thing attached in place. The light in the room makes their dream clearer. He is smiling through his glasses, but the three kids are preparing to run. Though they seem to act like they are staring, inside their brains are working to take flight, but one person acts differently.

Ami suddenly grabs a bat to her right, near the dining table, which she had left after coming from school. Anu and Yash freeze at her actions but bend at the correct time when she pulls the bat out and swings back to hit the man. With one swing, the bat stops right in front of the man's right cheek, floating in the air.

Ami notices that the bat is receiving some kind of energy to stop. When she looks down, she sees a stick, which is channeling the energy transfer, and it is not right from the stick but from the man's body holding it.

She drops the bat at this, confused and sacred. "How are you doing this?" Ami shouts shakily.

"Well, what are you pointing at?" Man smiles.

"You know well what I am pointing at," Ami grunts.

"Should we discuss what you want to say?" Man sticks that smile.

Ami is again in position with the bat as if it were a sword. "First, your identity and then my serenity; until then, this bat will stay." Ami is in a defensive position, with Anu and Yash right behind. "Yash, go and wake Mom and Dad up!" Ami shouts and signals for Yash to leave. The man is just watching the show with a smile, but Ami notices something behind the smile.

Ami's thoughts,

Where the hell did this man come from? He is still smiling. But that smile has some pain, and he is also proud of something. Why the hell would he be proud? And what is he hiding? I need to know now.

From Author's POV,

"Why the hell are you smiling?" Ami grunts.

"Why is it making you think about what I am proud of?" The man replies with a sly grin.

Ami takes a moment to analyze and puts her confusion down because this man is no easy man to deal with. He may look 60, but there is something off and different about him, and that's what Ami calls," Hey, you presumptuous man, don't think if you can read minds, you know everything."

"Well, I think you are good at that; being a clairvoyant makes you better at it. Am I right, Ami?" The man smiles with a sense of teasing her, and Ami hates it.

"What do you mean, clairvoyant? It's you that are presumptuous." Ami huffs.

"Wait, how do you know her name?" Anu cuts in shakily while listening carefully to the conversation.

"Oh, hello there, Anu, the punctilious one. Nice to meet you and to answer your question; I also know everybody's identity here." Anu goes wide and covers her mouth.

Ami shows the exact opposite behavior when the man tries to approach them. "Not a step forward, Mr. Presumptuous." Ami pokes the bat in his chest, and he stops.

Yash runs into the scene breathless and worried, "Mom and Dad... Mom and Dad are not getting up." Ami and Anu are in shock.

Ami shoots up and holds the bat near the man's face, "What happened to them?"

"Oh, just under my spell," comes closer. "The whole world is sleeping under my spell, Barci." The man pulls away, and Ami, Anu, and Yash have disgusted looks on their faces.

"I think he watches too much fantasy," Yash says with a straight face.

"No, I think he must have had a horrible childhood, poor man." Anu makes a pity face at him.

"I think he just ran from a mental asylum; we should call the police or the health line; argh, I don't know. Hey, mister, where are you from?" Ami crosses her arms.

Now that the man has enough, he bangs a table, but without a table, in the air, "Stop it." The man angrily stomps near them, and Ami holds her bat up.

"Not a step forward." Ami hisses and the man stops.

"Fine, but hear me out, and don't try to cut me out. I will not move towards you, and you will listen without any questions or interruptions. Deal?" Ami, Anu, and Yash look at each other, conversing.

"Let's give this man a chance. I think he has a problem with his brain," Ami says in a matter-of-fact tone, looking at him to start speaking.

"Great, thank you for that," the man sarcastically puts it in. "Now let me introduce myself," he says, straightening himself up, "My name is Anan, and I am from the Magical Kingdom," Yash snorts, and Ami tries to hold her laughter because they all know that there are only three kingdoms, the Finest Kingdom, the Army Kingdom, and the Forbidden Kingdom. Anu, on the other hand, listens to him carefully.

Anan smiles and pulls out the stick, saying, "This is my wand, and here is what it does," With a swoosh movement, he produces a book in front of them. They all go wide,

"But, how?" Yash gags at him.

"What does your body give the wand, and how does the wand do that?" Ami used a not-very well-structured sentence, which didn't suit the atmosphere. "What? I just asked what I have seen." Anu and Yash are still staring at her.

"What does his body give the wand? What kind of question is that?" Yash retorts.

"Well, don't you notice there is a light and something is transferring from his body to the wand and then channeling it out to bring what he desires?" Ami now wonders how she answers her own question.

"Well, I think you answered your question," Anu said in a matter-of-fact tone. "And for the transferring and channeling question, we don't see anything of that sort."

"That's because you are different magical beings," Anan says out loud to break their conversation.

"What do you mean?" Ami retorts.

"No questions were the deal." Ami sighs and stands back.

"Good. Now, as said, there is a kingdom called the Magical Kingdom, which is unknown to the people who are staying in the other three kingdoms." Anan stops and checks on the kids, who are listening clearly but with crooked faces.

"Well, to continue, I am the Headmaster of Summon Valley School at the Magical Kingdom and have come to take you there."

Ami goes wild," Are you kidding me? You came here, saying we were magical, and now you want to take us to some unknown place, and we would go with you singing Jonny, Jonny."

"You can't speak." Anan retorts.

"Yes, I can; it's my right. What will you do, huh? Turn me into a bear." Ami is on her heels.

"I can do that, but I just don't know what a bear is." Anan slyly grins. "But, before that, to prove myself, I am going to prove that you three are magical; that would be silencing three birds with one wand. So, who is going first?"

Ami is now helpless; she just wants to get rid of this man and go to sleep. When dealing with a mad person, you have to be a little patient so that you can get rid of him. With that thought, Ami steps forward, holding her bat down, but ready. "Go on," Ami says with a sigh.

"Well, let's see, Lifto," Anan yells out, and again, Ami sees the same thing happening, but now she does not believe in what is happening; the energy is making her float. Ami flusters, "Woah, Woah, wait, what's happening..."
