Sasha hands Meredith a cup of coffee as she pins a Roommates Wanted sign to the board in the interns locker room before quickly slipping her scrubs on. Carefully slipping the ring off her finger, she loops it through the plain necklace she's wearing before clasping it back on.

The ring was the only part of her birth mother she has left. She's never not worn it or had it close by. Shutting her locker, she and Meredith head out to their roommate interviews for the day.

"Look, I'm sure you're very nice, but I'm very particular about who lives in my house, and you're just not right," Meredith tells the intern in front of them.

Leaning her head back, Sasha lets out a groan as the intern keeps fighting for that room, "Why? Look, I'm quiet. No loud music, no parties."

Meredith sits up straighter, "Where were you when the Challenger exploded?"

"The what?"

"The space shuttler Challenger," Meredith clarifies as Sasha chuckles.

"Uh...I think I was in kindergarten," The intern looks confused, trying to remember.

Standing up, Meredith grabs Sasha's arm to pull her away, "Exactly. No."

Sasha wraps an arm around Meredith as they walk away, "You know, you are way too picky when it comes to roommates. If it were up to me, I would've picked the first two. Or two of the 15 after them."

"Well, good thing it's mostly my decision."

Meeting up with Izzie and George, Meredith and Sasha fill them in on the failed attempts at trying to find a roommate, "Why do you put up posters for roommates if you don't want roommates?"

Meredith argues, "I do want roommates. We're together 100 hours a week. You want to live together too?"

George butts in, "You live with Sasha."

"We're in love, that's different."

"I see you bring bribes now, huh?" Cristina gestures to the extra coffee in Meredith's hand.

"My mom iron's my scrubs," George tells Meredith and Sasha, "I have to get out of there."

Sasha wipes the specks of apple that were spit at her face, "Dude, say it, don't spray it."

"It's not a bribe. I don't think it's a good idea," Meredith tells Cristina first, and then George.

George keeps bribing, "I can put down last, first, and deposit."

Cristina keeps poking fun of Meredith, "It's totally a bribe."

Izzie throws her name in the mix, "I can cook, and I'm an obsessive cleaner."

"No," Meredith shakes her head, "Sasha and I have already vetoed you two. We just want two total strangers who we don't have to talk to or be nice to, and it's not a bribe. It's a mocha latte."

"Why'd you say no?" Cristina asks her sister.

"George is too whiny and Izzie is too perky and happy."

"Yeah."

Bailey gets the attention of her interns at the nurses station, "George, you're running the code team. Meredith, take the trauma pager. Cristina, deliver the weekend labs to the patients. Izzie, you're on sutures. Sasha, you were requested by Dr. Shepherd."

Sasha smiles and does a little happy dance once Bailey had turned away, earning a shove from her sister.

"Dr. Bailey, I was hoping to assist you in the OR today. Maybe do a minor procedure. I think I'm ready. Mocha latte?" Meredith follows the resident.

"If she gets to cut, I want to cut, too," Cristina jumps in.

"Yeah, me too."

"I wouldn't mind another shot. I mean if everybody else is."

Sasha stays at the nurses desk, waiting for the nurse to find out where Derek was, "Stop talking. Every intern wants to perform their first surgery. That's not your job. Do you know what your job is? To make your resident happy. Do I look happy? No. Why? Because my inters are whiny. You know what will make me look happy? Having the code team staffed, having the trauma pages answered, having the weekend labs delivered, having someone down in the pit, doing the sutures, and having attendings have the interns they requested. No one holds a scalpel till I'm so happy, I'm Mary freakin' Poppins," She makes her way up the stairs as Nurse Tyler tells Sasha where Derek is, "Why are y'all still standing there? Move!"

The interns all briskly walk away.

Just Sasha's luck, Derek was waiting by the elevator that her and Meredith were about to go on.

"Seattle has ferryboats."

"Yes," Meredith and Sasha share a smile.

"I didn't know that. I've been living here six weeks. I didn't know there were ferryboats."

Sasha looks back at the attending, smirking a little, "Seattle is surrounded by water on three sides. Ferryboats are kinda a necessity."

The elevator doors ding as Derek puts his phone down, "Now I have to like it here. I wasn't planning on liking it here. I'm from New York," The trio make their way into the elevator, "I'm genetically engineered to dislike everywhere except Manhattan. I have a thing for ferryboats."

They sit in silence in the elevators for a moment, Meredith clutching Sasha's hand, "We're not going out with you."

"Did I ask you to go out with me?"Derek looks back at them before looking front again, "Do you two want to go out with me?"

"We're not dating you," Sasha tells him before thinking to herself, 'At least not yet.'

"And we're definitely not sleeping with you again. You're our boss," Meredith adds.

Sasha gives her a look of disbelief before whispering to her, "Can we take a vote on that?"

Derek argues, "I'm your boss's boss."

Meredith pushes back as Sasha pouts at her slightly, "You're my teacher and my teacher's teacher. And you're our teacher."

"I'm your sister, I'm your daughter."

"You're sexually harassing us," Meredith says.

Sasha snorts, "He's riding an elevator. You're the one talking about sleeping with him."

"Who's side are you on?"

"Whatever side allows me to sleep in the bed tonight."

Meredith rolls her eyes before focusing back on a smirking Derek, "Look, I'm drawing a line. The line is drawn. There's a big line."

Derek points out, "So, this line, is it imaginary," He turns to them, "Or do I need to get you a marker?"

Looking between Meredith and Derek, Sasha makes the first move and kisses Derek. She feels Derek pull Meredith with them before he kisses her. Once they break a part, Meredith and Sasha share a kiss as Derek kisses along their necks. They hear the ding of the elevator and quickly break apart. Meredith picks up the papers she dropped before rushing off the elevator.

Sasha stays behind and looks up at Derek, "You requested me?"

"I did. The three of us will talk later?"

She just smirks.

Standing in the OR, Sasha and Meredith watch as Derek and Burke operate on a rape victim, "She's gonna spend a hell of a long time in recovery and rehab."

Burke comments, "If she survives."

Sasha glares at the cardio surgeon. Who knows what she can hear while under, if her surgeon doesn't believe she can survive, why should she fight?

"What is she, like 5'2", 100 pounds? She's still breathing after what this guy did to her? If they catch the guy, they should castrate him."

"See how shredded her hands are?" Sasha's eyes wander over the patients hands at Burke's mention, "She tried to fight back."

Derek asks, "Tried to? Rape kit came back negative. She kicked his ass."

Burke looks around at the staff in the OR, "So, we have a warrior among us, huh?"

Meredith speaks up from beside Sasha, "Allison. Her-her name is Allison."

"Allison."

"I think I may have found the cause of our rupture," Burke pulls out some flesh, "What is this? Does anyone know what this is?"

Sasha furrows her eyebrows as she tries to get a closer look, before her and Meredith say in unison, "Oh, my god."

"What? Spit it out, Grey, Williams," Burke tells them.

Meredith tells him, Sasha still too stunned, "She bit it off."

The rest of the staff haven't caught on yet, "Bit off what?"

"That's h-his...penis. She bit off his-his penis," The rest of the room, almost all guys, groan at that as Burke tosses the clamps holding the penis onto a tray.

"Talk about taking a bite out of crime," Sasha jokes.

Sasha stands in Allison's room, making notes on her chart. She feels a presence behind her, "There is more than just the space behind me in this room, you know?"

She feels more than hears Derek chuckle, "I know," He moves over to Allison to do some of his own checking, "Say, why does Meredith hate me so much?"

"Mer doesn't hate you. She's protecting herself. And me."

"Did she do this with you? Push away any ideas about a date between you two?" Derek asks, looking up at her every once in awhile.

"Well," Sasha smiles at the memories of first trying to get together with Meredith, "Something like that. Meredith is a very closed person. Don't worry, I'm not fully opposed to your date idea."

Derek smiles at her, "Oh, really?" He moves closer to her, moving her chart out of the way, "Didn't you say earlier that we wouldn't go on a date?"

She shrugs, faking thought, "Well, I do need some more convincing. Once I'm convinced, maybe I can convince Mer. Or we could tag-team her. That's always...fun."

As Derek leans down to kiss her, Sasha pulls away and smirks, "If you'll excuse me, Dr. Shepherd, I have some labs I need to take care of."

"You are a tease, Dr. Williams, a tease."

Sasha sees Cristina arguing with Alex Karev, the newest intern on Bailey's team, "Well, if it isn't the jerk."

"Hey, it's the nurses girlfriend."

Cristina turns to Sasha, "Just because I have ovaries, should I be the one getting hugged when we tell patients good news?"

Alex nods, "Yes, yes she should."

"No, no she shouldn't. But, you getting hugged is hilarious," Sasha tells her sister.

"Why? Why is it so funny?"

"Because, whenever you don't want to get hugged, but someone hugs you, you make a face. It scrunches up and looks a like you have to take a piss."

She shakes her head, "I do not."

Sasha wraps her arms around her sister and squeezes, sure enough, she makes that face.

"Oh, my god. You totally do."

Hearing a beep, Sasha looks down and sees Derek paging her, "Got to go. Duty calls."

Walking past the waiting room, Sasha hears some roommate interviews, "What's your favorite '80s group?"

"Queen."

"No."

"Twisted Sister."

Her and Meredith share a groan as Meredith stands to leave.

"It's not like there's a right or wrong answer."

Sasha shakes her head, "Yes, there is. The Go-Gos, Duran Duran, the Eurythmics."

Meredith nods, leaning over and giving her a quick peck, "This is why I love you."

Doing some rounds, Sasha makes her way back to Allison's room and sees Derek sitting in the chair beside her bed. Closing the door, she sits on the other side, "I can't imagine not having any family. I'd have Mer and Cris running around. My mom would be in here, sewing or cross-stitiching or whatever she's into these days, waiting for me to wake up."

"I have four sisters. You'd have to beat them and my mother with a stick to keep them away," Derek jokes.

Sasha laughs, "Yeah. I get that. I was like that with..." She trails off as she walks down memory lane.

"With what? Is it part of the reason you are adopted?" Derek pushes, giving her his full attention.

"Like I said before, Dr. Shepherd, we aren't there yet. There are some parts that I am not ready to share yet. Hell, there are still some parts that I don't know yet," Sasha chuckles, sighing, "I just wanted to check on her. I'm gonna go rest for a bit."

Derek stands, grabbing her hand and making her face him, "When you're ready...I'm all ears."

Leaning up, she kisses his cheek, "Thank you, Derek. I'll keep that in mind."

"So I have to spend the night with the penis," Sasha hears her girlfriend complain as she makes her way down to the interns spot.

"That sounds like a fun night," Sasha says, making Alex move over so she can sit next to Meredith, who lays her head down on Sasha's shoulder.

"Who here feels like they have no idea what they're doing?" George asks before raising his hand, everyone else following after, "I mean, are we supposed to be learning something? Because I don't feel like I'm learning anything."

Izzie adds, "Except how not to sleep."

Cristina puts into words their situation, "You know, it's lie there's this wall. The attendings and the residents are over there, being surgeons and we're over here, being..."

Sasha picks up where her sister left off, "Suturing, code-running-"

"Lab-delivering penis minders," Meredith finishes.

"I hate being an intern," Alex sighs.

They all take a deep breath before Bailey comes down, and without saying a word, gives them a look that makes all of them stand up and get back to work.

Laying on a bed in the hallway after Allison's second surgery, Sasha throws an arm over her face and lets out a big sigh.

"She's gonna be fine."

"If she ever wakes up."

Derek sighs, shaking his head, "Why are you and Meredith so focused on that?"

Sasha sits up, swinging her legs so she's facing him, "Because, it keeps the situation real. Her rapist was caught, but she might not ever wake up. Those are the facts of life and no matter how much it sucks, we can't change them."

Ignoring whatever else he has to say, Sasha goes searching for the other interns and sees them by the nursery, watching the babies.

Wrapping her arms around Meredith's waist, Sasha lays her head on her shoulder as one of her arms goes around Sasha's waist, "Okay, fine, George and Izzie, you can move into the house."

They celebrate as Sasha groans and buries her face into Meredith's neck, "Great."

"I can't believe I caved," Meredith tells the sisters.

"I blame the babies. They're toxic," Cristina says, walking by.

Sasha smiles at the babies, "No, they are adorable. Amazing."

Running out of the hospital doors, she meets up with the other interns, kissing Meredith before they get into the car.

AN: Oh man, I can't wait to really get into Sasha's background and you all find out more about her. I am so excited also for her specialty. Ah, I can't wait.

I have all of her intern year (first three seasons) already mapped out, but I need a ship name for Meredith, Sasha, and Derek. And one for just Sasha and Derek. And just Sasha and Meredith.

QoC: what do you think her specialty will be?

Thanks for all of the votes and comments and reads!!!!
