Sasha moves around the kitchen, cooking breakfast for the house before sitting it on plates and heading up to the bathroom where she sees a mostly naked Callie walk out of the bathroom.
Heading to the bathroom, Sasha leans against the doorway and addresses Meredith and Izzie, "Did I just see-"
"Yup," Izzie nods, "She didn't even wash her hands."
"Breakfast is ready," Sasha shakes her head before going back into her and Meredith's room.
"Hey, are you ready to talk about the whole Finn thing?" Meredith asks, closing the door behind her as Sasha starts to change.
Sasha shrugs, not looking at Meredith, "What's there to talk about? You're gonna do your thing, just like always, and I'm gonna be here, waiting to pick up any broken piece. Just like always."
Meredith sighs, moving forward to hug Sasha and laying her head on her chest, "That's not how this is. I love you, you know that."
Slowly, Sasha wraps her arms around Meredith, "Do I?"

Sasha walks with Alex down to the ambulance bay, "Four dates, two sleepovers and who knows what else without so much as asking me to come with or acknowledging the fact that I'm her actual girlfriend of five plus years and the one that knows her best. Instead, I'm laying in our bed every night, wondering why the hell I stay."
"Then why do you stay? Just dump her and get over with," Alex advises, handing her a gown before grabbing one for himself.
"Because, we've been together for five plus years. There's a lot of history and good times there. I don't wanna throw it all away for a bad couple months."
Alex ties the back of her gown, "Just dump her and she'll only have the vet which will make her realize how important you are to her. And then I don't have to listen to you whine anymore."
She rolls her eyes, "Look, just because you are single-" She stops when they walk out into the ambulance bay where Cristina and Meredith are already waiting, "I'm not ready to take your advice."
"What advice?" Meredith asks.
"Don't worry about it," Alex waves her off.
"She peed. Naked peeing. Ask Meredith," Izzie and George join the group, Izzie complaining, "Oh, that's right, I forgot. You're not talking to her. Ask Sasha, then."
"Sasha was making breakfast then walked upstairs to see Callie in only her panties. Whatever may have happened in the bathroom is all hearsay for her," Sasha comments, leaning back against the wall.
Izzie groans, "Well, if she were there or if you were talking to Meredith, they would tell you that Callie crosses the line. So across the line. It's so freakin' crossed."
Alex scoffs, "Oh! We're still pretending that you're not seeing a patient, right?"
Sasha laughs, "Oh, how I love watching Stevens get knocked down a peg so early in the shift."
Cristina, who is unnervingly cheery, comes around and puts an arm around Alex and Sasha, "People, what's with all the evil misery, huh? Live and let live."
"You're cheerful," George comments, touching Cristina's face.
"You are," Izzie and Sasha say, completely different tones of voice.
"Come on," Cristina shrugs.
Sasha scoffs at her sister, "How the hell are you this cheerful?"
Cristina waits a little impatiently for the ambulances, "I scrubbed in on a four hour paraesophageal hernia last night, and then I got laid. And now three ambulances are coming in full of bloody, broken car crash victims, all who need to be cut open."
"That got dark real fast," Sasha groans as Cristina starts dancing.
"I'm cheerful. I'm cheerful. I'm cheerful."
Derek walks up behind her, grunting as Cristina almost hits him in the face, "Sorry, sir."
He looks about as cheerful as Sasha does as the two gather up with Meredith, "Hi."
"How's my dog?" He doesn't return Meredith's greeting but offers a small smile to Sasha.
"Much better. Finn's running tests."
Derek turns to walk away, "Good."
"Our dog," Sasha corrects, a small smirk on her face.
"What?" He asks, a small smile on his face when he looks at her.
"You said my dog. He's our dog," Meredith says, gesturing to all three of them.
Derek looses his smile, "Yeah. Whatever."
Meredith tilts her head, "Are you mad or something."
The ambulance pulls up, drawing most of the attention, "Now is not the time."
Sasha gets the pregnant woman, the paramedic starting, "22-year-old pregnant, restrained passenger. T-boned on her side. Prolonged extrication in the field. BP 90/50. Pulse in the 80s."
Bailey directs them, "Trauma room one."
"Trauma? No, I'm fine, really," Melanie, the patient, argues, "You don't have to go to all that trouble. Mercy, no, I am fine, really. The air bags went off. If you could just check on my baby and the rest of my family and my husband. Noah, you saw Mama breathing, right?! And Daddy- where the hell's daddy?! Mama and Daddy are still alive, right?"
"They're in the ambulance right behind us!" Her husband shouts back.
Sasha starts a neuro exam as Holly asks, "They're still alive, right?"
She says, "Please don't move, ma'am. I have others checking right now."
"Mama and Daddy- I need to know," Melanie pushes.
Sasha nods, "I will tell you as soon as I know."
Looking out, she sees and hears Alex's patient, "And there would be Mama."
Melanie calls out, "Mama, you okay?"
"I am in pain!" Is yelled back.
Sasha starts prepping to do an ultrasound when a male voice calls out, "Mellie!"
"Daddy!" She yells back.
"Jim."
"Noah."
"Mel."
"Mama."
As Daddy stumbles into the trauma room, Sasha raises her voice as she tries to find a fetal heartbeat, "Can everybody shut up for a minute, please? Trying to check on the baby."
They quiet down as she then listens, the heartbeat coming up, "The baby's heartbeat is 152 and strong. It's okay."
He turns and heads to the door, calling out, "They're both good. They're good."
"That's him! That's the guy who hit us!" Mama yells.
"I'll kill him!" Daddy yells, charging out of the room.
Sasha sighs, taking down measures of the baby, "This is gonna be a long day."

Addison finds Sasha, "Oh, good, Dr. Williams."
"Yes, Dr. Shepherd."
"Karev's taken over Melanie's case, you get to scrub in with me on three surgeries. Go round and prep, please," Addison tells her, "Is he always an ass?"
Sasha laughs, nodding, "Oh, yeah. I don't think you're gonna be able to change him by forcing him on your service."
She shrugs, handing over a chart, "So, what's going on with you and Grey? Derek's been in a mood since he took Doc back to the vet."
Looking down, Sasha sighs, "It's a long story-"
They are cut off by their pagers, "Melanie, 911."

In the OR, Sasha stands to the side, watching the fetal monitor as almost every other surgeon in the hospital operates on Melanie.
Alex is soon sent over to watch over Sasha's shoulder, "Addison bench you?"
"The She-Shepherd said I could learn a lot from you."
"You can. Now, pay attention," Sasha smiles under her mask.
The Chief looks over to Addison, "Addison, we're ready for you."
She moves over to the table, "Uterus is protected. Baby's heartbeat?"
"146," Sasha calls out.
The monitor starts beeping after Addison backs away and they continue on Melanie, "Pressure's bottoming out."
Blood squirts out onto Webber, "Let's transfuse."
Bailey calls out, "Quadrant packing. Come on, people. Get me some lap pads."
"Cross-clamp the aorta."
"Clamp. Got it," Burke says.
"There's too much bleeding. She'll never last. Shepherd?" Webber goes around.
Derek says, "Damage control."
"Addison."
"If you want the baby to live, damage control."
"Burke?"
"Damage control."
Webber nods, "Everyone knows the rules-we're going to move as rapidly as possible. Don't worry about finishing repairs. For now, we're on crisis management, people. Just get it done. Once she reaches the triangle, we stop, no exceptions."
Alex asks, "What's he mean, triangle? What's that."
Sasha explains, "Blood stops clotting, her muscles produce acid and her organs get cold. The Triangle of Death."
¤¤¤¤
Still in surgery, Sasha and Alex stay by the fetal monitor as everyone else works, "Systolic's 82, folks. It's not getting any better."
"How's the spleen, Chief?" Bailey asks.
"Unsalvageable, I'm afraid."
Addison looks back to her interns, "Williams?"
Sasha looks up, "Frequent decels and loss of variability."
Alex mumbles to her, "If she's gonna keep me here, the least she could do is acknowledge me."
"The baby's fading."
"pH is down 7.1. Core temp, 93 degrees."
Webber calls out, "Okay, we've reached the triangle, people. Hands out."
Everyone starts talking and arguing.
"We're not trying for perfection, people. Damn it, stop. Everybody, stop."
Cristina is still working when everyone else stops until Burke gets her attention and she stops.
"Slow, erratic, but it's a heartbeat," Bailey watches the monitor.
Sasha adds, "Baby's holding steady."
"Bring out the plastic," Burke looks to a nurse.
"Plastic? We're not gonna close?"
Bailey answers, "No, we're gonna keep her open, cover her with plastic and get her to the ICU."
"And then what?" Alex asks.
"And then we're gonna see if she survives," Webber tells him.
They start rolling the plastic out.

Derek finds Sasha charting. He stops near her, pacing and agitated, "How do you do it?"
"Do what?" She doesn't look up from her chart.
"Deal with Meredith when she doesn't take any responsibility."
Sasha looks up, sighing, "Honestly, right now, I don't. Sometimes, you just gotta love her with all her flaws and sometimes, you've gotta walk away."
¤¤¤¤
"If Burke can forgive me for falling asleep during sex, then George can forgive you for crying," Sasha hears Cristina tell Meredith as she joins the female interns.
"You really think Burke's forgiven you for that?" Sasha asks.
Cristina looks at her, "You don't?"
Sasha laughs, taking some of Cristina's food, "You fell asleep while having sex. That bruises a man's ego as much as crying during sex does. It's like you kicked his puppy."
Meredith looks to Sasha, "Would you forgive me if I fell asleep during sex."
"For that? Yeah, probably. But that's not our biggest issue right now," Sasha tells her, "Now, I've got a couple surgeries I need to get to."
¤¤¤¤
After surgery with Addison, Meredith finds her with tears in her eyes, "Derek just called me a whore."
Sasha finds herself falling into the same routine and opens her arms to hug her as Meredith cries into her chest, "Shh, I'm here, I'm here."
As Meredith continues to cry, Sasha thinks. This is how most of their relationship is now. Her comforting Meredith and get none in return. Meredith can't even acknowledge the relationship really otherwise anymore. Maybe it's time to take Alex's advice.
¤¤¤¤
In surgery, Addison directs Sasha as she assists, "Ready for the fluid bolus. I've almost got it."
Alex walks into the OR, "Melanie's crashing."
"It's right there."
"You hear me? She's crashing, "Alex repeats.
Addison looks to Sasha, "Go. I'm elbow-deep in a patient's uterus. Do what you can, I'll be there as soon as I can."
Sasha nods, quickly following Alex into Melanie's OR.
¤¤¤¤
After scrubbing, Sasha walks into the OR, "Shepherd's still in surgery. She's gonna move as fast as she can."
"How's the heart?" Webber asks.
Bailey looks at the monitor, "Asystole."
Hearing the flatline, Sasha asks, "How long has she been down?"
"Five minutes."
"I need to do a c-section. Glove me," Sasha is gloved, "Babies can survive four to five minutes in their dead mother. I need to get that baby out now. Yang, hold the intestines. Bailey, can you expose the uterus? Someone call pediatrics."
Bailey looks to her intern, "Tell me what you're doing as you do it."
Sasha nods, "I'm opening the uterus with a midline vertical incision, making sure not to cut the fetus," She does so as Burke does compressions, "And baby's out."
Carrying the baby over, she ignores the other surgeon's who are focusing on the mother. They stop after being unable to stop the bleeding.
"Time of death- 1948."
Addison walks into the OR, "Chief?"
She looks over to Sasha as she does compressions before stopping when she hears the baby cry, before she gives a small smile.

Throwing her keys onto the table, Sasha turns to Meredith as they have the house to themselves.
"We need to talk."
Meredith sighs, "What's going on? Is this about Finn."
Sasha groans, gripping her hair near her scalp, "Yes but no. Finn is just the catalyst in all of this. You have made decision after decision that affects our relationship without me. I get that we are poly, but that usually means the relationship isn't just one couple and then one person in that couple sleeps with whoever else they want. I'm sick and tired of being the one you go to for comfort and then throws away. I need...need to find who I am without being your comfort. I-I think we need to break up."
"W-wait," Meredith tries, tears falling down her face.
"I'll find somewhere else to stay and I'll be back for my things tomorrow-" Sasha says, heading up to her old room to pack a bag, Meredith following her.
"N-no, Sasha, wait, let's talk-" Meredith cries.
She shakes her head, grabbing the essentials, "Meredith, you are dating an entirely other person that I know nothing about. You didn't even ask me if I were open to expanding our relationship. You just did it. With no regards to how I'd feel. We used to be able to communicate and now we don't. And you know how important that is to me."
Sasha grabs her bag and starts heading downstairs as Meredith stops her, grabbing her arm and kissing her, "Please, don't leave me."
"I'll see you at work tomorrow," Sasha says, leaving.
