It was the beginning of a new school year, and Onika and Lauren were about to embark on their first day at Houston High, a prestigious school known for its academic excellence and sports

Inside their cozy home, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fluttered through the air, signaling the start of a busy day. Carol, the girls' mother, was already up and bustling around the kitchen. She had always been the backbone of their small family, juggling her role as a single mother ever since Robert and his mistress died leaving her to care for lauren along with her own onika.Carol was a third shift nurse who recently was promoted to work at Houston's biggest hospital .

Her love for cooking was evident as she effortlessly prepared a delicious breakfast for her daughters. The sound of sizzling bacon and the clinking of plates filled the kitchen

Onika, the older of the two sisters, "arose" from her bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. before she went to start her shower, she walked across the hall to Lauren's room.

"lauren wake up before mommy comes in here yelling", nika said to lauren shaking her shoulder.

"okay minks I'm up gahlee" lauren groggy said as she sluggishly got up to start her shower.

"bitch don't start get it together" nika rolled her eyes before walking back to her bathroom to start her daily morning routine. 

she then walks into the kitchen wearing a colorful Kurt geiger purse and slides with a black skims dress. Onika was known for her infectious laughter and her ability to make friends wherever she went however in this new state she's a bit nervous.

"morning mommy" nika walked up to her mom kissing her head.

As Onika settled at the kitchen table in front of a plate of bacon eggs French toast and sausage, sipping her orange juice,

"good morning meh minks, whereas ya sista" Carol sighs

"I told her to get up she should be coming" Just as nika finishes lauren walked down the steps dressed in a pink graphic crop top, black ripped jeans and her pink, black and white 6s. She was the more extroverted of the two sisters. She was often lost in her world of parties and music, finding solace in the teenage world.

"good morning mama and nika" lauren excitedly said

"Someone's happy this morning" carol wiggled her brows

"I'm just so excited to be starting a new school right nika" lauren cheesed

As Onika settled at the kitchen table she couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness about starting at a new school. She looked across the table at her younger sister

"yea lolo I guess I'm just a little nervous what if I don't make any friends" nika stressed

"oh honey you'll be fine don't worry" Carol reassured kissing both her daughters head before sitting down .

With breakfast served and enjoyed, the three of them gathered around the kitchen island, carol shared stories of her own school days, reminiscing about the joys and challenges of her youth. Onika and Lauren listened intently, finding comfort in their mother's words of wisdom.

20 minutes later..

As the clock ticked closer to the start of the school day, Carol encouraged her daughters to be open to new experiences, and to always stay true to themselves. With hearts full of hope and excitement, Onika and Lauren kissed their mother farewell.

" I wont be home tonight i start work so i'll leave  some cash in the junk drawer" carol shouted as her girls made their way out the front door.

"Okayyy!" Nika and lauren say in unison 

The morning air was crisp, and the sound of birds chirping filled the neighborhood. Onika and Lauren got into nika 2020 grey BMW before heading to school.

"Juju ma said get up before she come in here with a belt" solange yelled at her older sister

"I'm up peasant now get out with all that yelling" I said throwing a pillow at Solange 

She laid there for 20 more minutes before she felt a stinging sensation on her arm.

"Den i tell yo ass to get up ju, next time it's gone be harder getcho funky ass in the tub" Tina said scolding her eldest daughter. 

"Mama I'm up dang, that shit hurt" I mumbled knowing better then to speak out loud. I went and took a piss then started the shower. I grabbed my speaker playing some Music then getting in the shower. I got out going in my closet grabbing some boxers and a chill fit since there's nobody I want to impress at that school.  After i was done I walked downstairs to the kitchen.

"Good morning ma and ET" I laughed sitting at the table to eat 

"Can't be talking to me and yo head ain't been done since last year Ugly rat" Solange snapped back

" y'all don't start that shit its the first day of school, my baby is senior this year where did time go" Tina dramatically started to fake cry

"Ma cut it out *laughing* you just told me to hurry up and graduate" I Laughed  

"Oh honey i am I have my moments, y'all hurry up before your late to school" Tina said before walking upstairs to get ready for work.

After breakfast Beyoncé drove to school meanwhile Solange preferred to ride the bus with her friends. As bey pulled up she sees Robyn and her cousin east outside in the students parking lot waiting for her. 

"Y'all Trynna smoke right quick Ms.forte ain't gone mark us tardy' i smirked holding up a freshly rolled back wood. 

"Hell yeah you know im down" Dave junkie ass said hoppin in the backseat while Robyn took the front.

"Yo I seen some bad hoes this morning ju i think one maybe yo type" rob said as i passed her the blunt.

"Don't be bullshittin what you mean my type" i said with a side eyed.

Dave busted out laughing like this was the funniest shit he heard

" no nigga im foreal they had to be new here I ain't never seen em, shorty had a sista im trynna get onnat" Robyn said passing to Dave. 

"Oh word Issa bet sound like a  2fa2 " i dabbed rob up laughing 

Dave laughed again " mane hell nawl i seen niggas already trynna get at shordy she ain't going for it, she one of the ones." 

I smacked my teeth " man yea aight well see about that, lets go." We all got out the car and sprayed before walking in the school.
