Season One Episode Four

The four dead kids stormed out of the school to the bus stop. Angry to say the least. Laura though was just angry because Maddie clearly didn't trust her enough to tell her about something as big as this.

How can she even speak to the living?

The group was now standing facing Maddie as her alive friend was talking. Once he left all hell broke loose, he'll meaning Rhonda's upmost fury.

"Nice chat with your friend. You know I told you some pretty personal shit yesterday. You didn't think to maybe mention that you can talk to the living?"

Maddie rebutted, "Okay, not the living, just, just Simon."

"Oh, just Simon. That's a big fucking deal, Maddie." Ronda spoke as her anger controlled her words.

"I wanted to tell you. I tried, but-" Maddie told the group trying to justify her shitty actions.

Ronda cut her off not wanting to hear her sore reasoning, "But what?"

Rhonda, Wally, and Laura then realized Maddie was looking directly at Charley while she gave her excuse. The group finally understood.

"Oh my god, you knew." Wally spoke in utter shock.

Laura was just as stunned but Rhonda said what the girl was thinking, "What the hell Charley?"

"I cant believe this." Laura muttered while looking at the boy from the nineties.

Wally asked what they didn't know at the time was the most important question, "Does Mr. Marin know?"

Charley responded with a hard, "No." followed by a "I don't, I don't think so." filled with uncertainty.

"So what was your plan? Find some way to use Maddie's special ability for yourself and never tell the rest of us?" Rhonda felt beyond betrayed but so did the other two as well.

Charley tried to clear up the misconception, "I didn't have a plan."

Wally was pacing back and forth as Laura merely watched. He was trying to think to the best of his ability about this.

"Okay, okay, let's just, everybody, Rhonda, let's take a breather." Wally butted in trying to calm the air.

"How are you not pissed right now?" Rhonda yelled to him.

Wally let out a deep breath, "I am pissed, Rhonda. I'm just, i'm trying to make sense of this all. This is very new to me. I don't know how to-"

Rhonda snapped at him cutting him off mid sentence "Trying not to loose it in front of your crush?"

Laura froze. Her ears started to ring as her vison began to get blurry out of all the emotion she was feeling yet she felt numb.

What?

That was the only question on her mind. Maybe Rhonda was just mad at said that out of anger. Maybe she didn't really mean it.

But what if she did?

Laura didn't ever think Wally could be capable of doing something like this but maybe he did fall out of love with Laura and really did have a crush on the blonde.

It would make sense why it felt like he had been pushing me away recently.

Laura was lost deep in her thoughts. She had went down a rabbit hole, thinking about everything. She was so trapped in thought that she didn't notice her eyes begin to water.

Her and Wally had been together for as long as she had remembered. But now it seems he doesn't want her anymore. What was she going to do?

Wally hadn't noticed the brunette beside him had zoned out and he honestly didn't process what Rhonda had said about his crush on Maddie so he continued his conversation with Rhonda, his anger seemed to be building up quickly, "Okay, you don't have to be mad at me, Rhonda. I didn't do anything. Maybe be mad at him."

"I am mad at him." Rhonda snapped.

Maddie walked away letting out a muttered, "Thanks for the help guys."

Wally was still arguing with Rhonda stating to her, "You said you wouldn't bring that up again."

"Okay, well she's gone so, great." Rhonda spoke.

Apparently, the two bickering didn't even remember Laura was with them as she was still spaced out. She had heard what Wally said, knowing that he obviously did have a crush on Maddie. Laura's watery eyes began to pour down her face as she couldn't hold them in any longer.

Charley noticed that she was crying as he let out a gasp, then going over to hug the broken hearted girl. He himself was shocked at the conversation in hand.

"What like that's my fault?" Wally continued to argue.

"I, I, I actually cannot." Rhonda sighed as she stormed off just like the blonde just previously had done as well.

Once she stormed off Wally looked around, finally noticing the brunette was there the entire time and that she was crying in Charley's arms.

"Oh my god. Laura, Laura, Baby, I am so sorry." Wally said with all the compassion in his heart. It broke him seeing her crying and even more because of the fact that he was the one that did it.

Wally tried to go in to hug the sobbing girl, trying to comfort her, but she just backed away from him and ran back into the school, needing to be away from him for awhile.

Charley gave the girl a few seconds before running after her, not before he glared at Wally while shaking his head.

So there it was, Wally was alone again. Left at the bus stop to think about the consequences of his own actions.

Laura didn't feel like following the rest of the group to wherever they were going. Charley had stayed with the girl the rest of the day until he saw Maddie leaving the school. Laura told the boy to go follow her, feeling the need to be alone with her thoughts.

Charley had come back at the end of the night, Laura still being in the same spot he left her, still curled up in fetal position in the girls locker room. Charley had told the girl about how Mr. Anderson was responsible for changing the mascot from a devil to a bandit but he had done it illegally.

Laura wasn't really listening as Charley told her the events of what she had missed the rest of the day, too busy lost in thought, but she did appreciate him more than he would know.

After Charley had finished telling his story he revealed to the girl that it was very late and he needed to leave her, after making sure she would be okay of course.

Once the boy had left, the brunette girl was left with her thought again. Not for long though as Wally opened the door to the locker room.

He walked in slowly, going over to where Laura was sitting in fetal potion with her back against the wall. He slowly slid his back against the wall, pulling his legs up to his chest as well.

He let out a sigh before beginning, "Look Laura I'm really sorry."

"It's okay, you like her I know, and now you have nothing holding you back to be with her." Laura spoke as her voice cracked.

"No, No, Laura that's not what was going on. I love you and only you." Wally let out quickly, needing the girl to know how he truly felt.

Laura's eyes finally looked to the boy sitting next to her, "What? I thought you liked Maddie?"

Wally shock his head, "No I don't, I swear. I mean I thought I did but I don't, I only have feelings for you. Laura, baby, I am so sorry I made you feel the way you did. I'm sorry I didn't clear this up sooner."

"Why did you think you had feelings for Maddie?" Laura asked the boy with hurt eyes.

"I don't know, she was new. I wanted to help her know who killed her but I thought I liked her when it was just really that I wanted her to find peace like we did." Wally wasn't extremely sure as to why he thought he liked Maddie but he knew now that he didn't which in his eyes was all that mattered.

"Okay." Laura let out, no louder than a whisper.

The two just sat there the rest of the night, Laura moving her head to rest on Wally's shoulder and his moving to lay on top of hers. And that's all they needed.

The movie was picked out by Charley. Since Wally felt bad about what he did to Laura and he was extremely grateful to have Charley comfort her he let him pick it.

Wally and Laura laid on a three seater couch together, the girl laying on top of Wally as he had his arms around her tightly. He felt if he let go or wasn't holding on tightly enough then she would disappear right under his nose.

It was nice. The two of them were happier than ever. Nothing, not even the blonde, could destroy their happiness and love.

You're very welcome that i ended the angst here i know y'all were stressing. i thought this was cute as wally and laura finally got another alone scene which was well deserved and needed. i probably won't be uploading another chapter for a week but who knows maybe i'll find time! also unrelated note i really wanna write a Michael Kelso fan fic once i'm done with this one bc there's like none and bro needs some justice like cmon. also would just like to thank you all for 7k READ WHAT THE HECK THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! i love you all and thank you for not thinking this book is boring bc i do haha joking just kidding i'm not really that's why i added some angst.
