As Chae got knocked out of the way, what Thanos didn't see was player 001 grab her and pulled her into the room he was heading towards.

"What in the world." Chae looked up seeing the mystery man who had saved her. She looked at his number seeing player 001, this was the man Gi-Hun was always with.

"Thank you, oh my god thank you I would have been dead if it wasn't for you." Chae jumped up and threw herself into his arms hugging the man. He reluctantly hugged her back but a small smile was tugging at his lips.

Truth is, he had been watching Chae for a while, he liked her. The way she was with her friends, the spark in her eye talking to Thanos. She was sweet, everything he hoped his daughter would have been. Maybe that's why he liked her so much.

"It's no issue, I couldn't stand there and watch you die. Especially after that man pushed you on purpose, people like that do not deserve to live themselves." He patted her on the back while waiting for the guards to finish cleaning the bodies up. While he himself didn't really need a partner for the games as they wouldn't kill him, he couldn't stand the thought of the girl dying.

The doors finally unlocked and Chae stepped out hiding behind player 001, she was playing with her rings like usual not noticing the state her friends were in.

Se-mi was wiping tears while min-su patted her back comfortingly. Nam-gyu was stood in silence his hands shaking as he tried not to cry. Dad-ho and Jun-hee were hugging comforting eachother while Gi-Hun looked at the pair sadly. Thanos however was stood still, his fists clenched tears rolling down his face. He swore her wouldn't loose her again, and what happened, that man made him loose her. And he was going to kill him for it.

As the group stood in mourning over Chae she mindlessly walked up to them giggling over a silly thought she had.

"Hey guys, oh I can't wait to go back to the rooms I'm so sleepy after this game I need a nap. I do not like running."

The group all looked up in complete shock. No words were exchanged before Se-mi threw herself into Chaes arms sobbing into her shoulder, soaking Thanos' jacket.

"Hey, hey, I'm here I am okay." Se-mi clung on to Chae like it was the last time she ever would see her.

When she let go Min-su followed in her place, he was now hugging Chae saying how much he was scared she was dead.

Then came Nam-gyu he clung onto Chae like a child, telling her he was devastated, they played the first game together and he was upset he wasn't there to save her again.

She looked up after the hug with Nam-gyu and her eyes met his.

He threw himself at her, holding her head as he held her. She could feel his tears on her head and his shaky hands as he held her.

"Chae, I thought I lost you. I can't loose you, what are you doing to me. If you died I could have never forgave myself." His voice was trembling and his hands still shaking, she pulled back from the hug and looked up at him, her thumb rolled over his cheek wiping the tears off his face.

"I'm here Thanos, I'm here."

Without another word he leant down and pressed his lips against hers, it was a sweet kiss. Nothing like the one they previously shared, this kiss was pure love, he was showing her how much he cared and felt for her.

He pulled back and instantly pulled her back into his chest.

"Chae?"

She turned her head to see a frail Dae-Ho, his face stained with tears, his jacket pulled over his lips. Thanos let her go, reluctantly, but he knew her friend needed the comfort that he just got from her.

She ran into Dae-ho's arms, he instantly broke down in tears sobbing into her shoulder.

"I thought-"

"I know, I know, I'm here I won't leave you yet don't worry." That was all Dae-Ho needed to hear, she carried on hugging him and rubbing his back until he stopped crying and Jun-hee was now in his place, Chae comforting her.

"Chae-young, you worried me back there." She looked over Jun-hee's shoulder seeing Gi-Hun smiling at her.

"We both know I wouldn't die that easy, plus we have your friend here to thank." Gi-hun looked over at 001 who just smiled and nodded his head at the girl.

Once Jun-hee let go of the girl she was right back in Thanos arms, he was not letting her go now.

The group walked back to the room in silence, Thanos' hand had a firm grip around Chaes. He was not letting her go, now or ever again.

The group made it back to the room and Thanos sat her in between his legs, his head in the crook of her neck as he littered kissed on it.

He was being very touchy and clingy, but she didn't mind one bit.

The group sat in comfy silence, Chae was okay, the group was okay, they had eachother.

That's all they needed for now
