Chae-young a twenty four year old woman who was in crippling debt, she didn't realise only four years after her university graduation she would end up in such a position. Chaes life had not always been this way, she studied abroad in England, had a great bond with her dad and landed herself a good job.

That all however went downhill when Chae met a man, Myung-Dae, he was Chae's fist proper boyfriend, her first love. She had met him while she was at work, she was in her office doing some work when a rough looking man walked in. He was there with his team to do some maintenance on her office building. She smiled sweetly at him when he began to work. The pair got talking and Myung-Dae eventually got Chaes number, they went on multiple dates and eventually moved in together.

Chae's father disapproved of the relationship, Chae deserved better and he could see Myung-dae for exactly what he was, a low life drug addict and gambler. Chae disapproved of his gambling addiction, but once she tried it herself one night while he was sleeping she understood why he gambled. The rush of joy winning gave her was indescribable, so she did what any other person would do, she carried on. The relationship eventually turned sour when Chae was gambling all of her money as well, Myung-Dae was furious, even though he himself was gambling his own money away. With Chae having no money herself now the pair became behind on payments to their home, eventually being kicked out of it meaning she had to move back in with her father.

The look of disappointment on Chae's father's face when she turned up at the family home all of her belongings in her hand, that look Chae will never forget. At first he let her home, her boyfriend was not allowed in the home though. Chae didn't mind that, she would go and see him often, that was until he broke the news he had found someone new. Chae was utterly heartbroken, until she had realised he was using her so he could spend his money on gambling and drugs, and she was only there to be a provider.

Chae's addiction did not get better, she was still gambling all of her money and had just recently been put on a probation period from her job, making her homeless and still in a lot of debt paying her home. Her father was furious with her, he had no other choice but to ask her to leave the home, she needed a scare to help her get her life back on track.

This led Chae to the position she was in now, homeless and scavenging for any ounce of money she could find.

The cold winter air nipped at her face as she wandered the streets, she would often sleep in the day while the streets were busy and she wasn't scared of something happening to her, and at nighttime she would wander. She would find drunk men and go home with them, taking food and water to keep herself going.

On particularly cold nights Chae would go and sit in the train station and just people watch, it was safer and warmer than being on the streets of Seoul. So that is what she was doing, nothing was out of the ordinary on this night she was sat wrapped in her coat, a cigarette in her mouth people watching.

That was until a handsome man in what seemed to be a business suit approached her smiling creepy.

"Would you like to play a game?" Chae stiffened when she realised he was talking to her, a game? Was this man on drugs. She ignored him but he was persistent.

"It's for money." Chae was interested now, she looked up at the man nodding for him to continue on.

"It's just a simple game of Ddakji, if you win I'll pay you, if you loose, well I doubt you will loose. Do you want to play?" Chae weighed up her options, this guy was creepy as hell but she did need the money.

"Sure why not." She stood up facing the man who was grinning widely at her opening his brief case and picking the papers out.

He placed one on the floor handing it to Chae, she looked at him eyebrows raised before throwing the paper and flipping the other one. The man looked impressed before taking the paper and flipping it himself. This went on for a while until Chae eventually missed one, she looked up at the man before she felt a sharp stinging sensation across her cheek.

"What the fuck." She was holding her face, did that guy really just hit her. He smiled at her before picking up the papers and handing Chae the cash, he also passed over a small business card.

"Call the number if you would like to play some more games." And with that he left, Chae was baffled what had just happened.

She left the train station going to a convenience store grabbing some snacks, she left and walked towards a phone booth, what did she have to loose?

She put the coins in and dialled the number, she got a weird feeling in her chest but chose to ignore it surely if it was as easy as the game she played with him it would be fine.

"Name and Age." Chae froze hearing someone actually pick up, she thought the man had scammed her.

"Hello?"

"Chae-young I'm twenty four." Chae replied.

"Perfect, are you at the location being called from?" Chae scrunched her eyebrows, how did they know that.

"Yeah I am." She replied looking around seeing if she was being watched.

"A car will be with you in five minutes, the password is red light green light, have fun playing." The phone line cut dead and Chae was even more confused, she sat on the edge of the pavement waiting for this car when a black mini van pulled up infront of her.

She stood up and tapped on the window, a man in a mask was sat in the front seat, this was weird.

"Chae-young?" She nodded at the man.

"Password?"

"Red light, green light." The man nodded opening the back door, it seemed no one else was in the car yet, she hoped she wasn't getting kidnapped.

"Hey man what's going on?" She tried to open the door but it was locked, the man put a cloth over his face before mist pumped into the car knocking Chae out.

Let the games begin.
