*A little earlier*

*Before the Last chapter took place*

Tom was standing in that abandoned classroom alone. The same classroom where he had cornered Alexa, but this time his motives were different completely. His hands were fiddling with the small golden circular disc which held an hourglass in its middle. His cautious irides were inspecting that tiny thing called time turner. For past weeks he was casting different spells to manipulate the time turner. It took him three weeks to fetch those spells from the restricted section. The task was difficult yet not impossible.

Either this or torturing himself with the torture curse. Tom cringed. This way was better. The drop of sweat left its trail from the back of his neck and disappeared in the collar of his school robes.

He was nervous.

He was clueless.

He was unsure.

The ministry of magic had announced that these turners can take you at most five hours back in time, but till now Tom had managed to go back in time for two days. Of course, this information was highly confidential. Not even Anthony knew about this. However, now all he wanted was to go back in time for three weeks. He had tried all means, but he had not found answers to the question about that night. Owing to his apparent infatuation with that badger, he was maintaining some distance with her, but that didn't mean he was not keeping an eye on her. He was certain that she was not the one who obliviated him. He was the future of wizardry. A teenager girl alone was not enough to defeat him.

Tom closed his eyes. He took out a small, silver vial from his pocket. Making up his mind, he drank the molten golden-coloured potion called liquid luck. He opened his eyes. They were shining now with determination. He took a deep breath and put the chain of that magical artefact around his neck. He took it in his hand and rotated it eighteen times.

After turning that hourglass, Tom placed that back in his pocket. He took out his pocket watch to see he was indeed in his past. A smirk made its way back on those plump lips giving him his notorious handsome look. Tom straightened his posture and left that abandoned classroom.

It was dark. The moon was shining brightly in the sky. It was a fairly windy night. He rubbed his hands together to warm himself a little.

He took out his wand

"Lumos"

He knew his way around that ancient castle, so it didn't take him long to locate the place where he woke up on that embarrassing day. He was determined to find out what had happened. He looked around to see if his past-self was already there. He hid in the shadows.

"Hey wait!" He heard his past-self ordering some running figure. His eyes narrowed when he looked at the figure running away clad in the tattered garment. They were barely covering her. Though this Tom wanted to help his past self he had to make sure the latter didn't see him. It would be a disaster if that happened. He was looking at the scene in confusion.

He came out of his place when his past-self stood a little ahead of him. The latter's back was facing him. Tom's eyes widened when he saw where his past-self was looking. The girl who was initially running away had entered the grounds. The moonlight illuminated her features when she stepped out of the castle. Her clothes started shredding. Tom had no intentions to see a naked girl, but his attention reverted back to her when the dark brown hairs erupted through her body. Her height started increasing. From this distance too, Tom could easily gauge that this creature was seven feet tall, taller than him by almost one foot. His eyes doubled in size. A very wild and an equally painful howl blared through her throat.

The sight accompanied by that sound was enough to freeze both of them in their places. He was looking at that creature dumbfounded. It was a wolf. A female at that. He saw that creature turned around. A fascinating, unforgettable and equally unmistakable shade of violet met that of a dark and mysterious shade of chocolate. He could identify that alluring shade anywhere. He had to go after her, but then his attention went back to the figure of his past-self standing between him and his target.

Oh! So this had happened? He smirked to himself. Taking the advantage of a frozen state of his unguarded past self he took out his wand and directed that at the latter's back,

"Obliviate"

He will not let anyone come between him and whatever he wants, including himself. He looked back in the direction of where she was standing to see she was already gone. The only thoughts which homed his mind were,

Run sweetheart. You can run from me for all you want, but you can't hide from me. Not anymore.
