(A/N) Before getting in to the story,  just a few thing.
-THERE WILL BE A FAIR USE OF FEMALE PARTS THAT MEN AREN'T BORN WITH SO SUCK IT UP.
-This is the only chapter with a fourth wall break
-There's gonna be a lot -- and I mean A LOT -- of binder rants in here. THEY ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.
And... yeah. That's all there is to it. Enjoy!

When did I find it out? That I wasn't what I was suppose to be?

Well, the story is a bit confusing. Just... try and keep up. Okay? Great.

Now, call it young but fourth grade was when I really started to question myself. I mean I always knew I hated those orbs that hung from a woman's chest like a sack of meat. I always knew I'd never want those.

Unfortunately, I started to fill out quiet a smidge earlier than most young ladies. By fourth grade, I looked like a sixth grader. Speaking strictly in the ways my chest had filled out.

Because, damn, I was short.

I'm pretty sure it was when the gym teachers started to separate the boys from the girl's during tests and free time was when I saw what I wanted.

The boys -- they got to run around and nose dive in the mud. They got to goof off and have fun without being judged.

While the girls...

All they did was talk about Barbies and Disney Princesses and their Perfect Prince Charming. That doesn't sound very appealing.

I told my mom about this, and that's when I first learned about gender expression. Sounds like some sort of Alcoholic beverage, am I right?

She sat me down, and said, "Listen here, Nicole." That's not my name. My name is Nico, but apperently that sounds too much like a boys. So when her and my dad got a divorce, I was then on Nicole. "You can go run around with those boys, but don't you ever -- and I mean ever -- think that makes it okay to use their toilets and all that." Then she lit a cigarette and that meant conversation end.

Well, I did just that. That's also how I met Will Solace. But we'll talk more about him later.

My mom wasn't exactly transphobic. She just always wanted a daughter. Luckily for her, she got granted with two!

Unluckily for her, one of them died -- but that's another story.

So, that was fourth grade! Pretty interesting, right?

Fifth grade was pretty much the same. Except, at the end of the year, I decided, "Hey... I-I don't really like my labels." And that leads us to sixth grade. I went through my "I don't know what my gender is yet, so I'll use they/them pronouns" stage.

My plan: Walk in without my mom, go by Nico, and use they/them pronouns!

Sounds easy, right?

Nope! Because who came in on the first day and introduced me as Nicole?

My mother!

Well, I guess that's my life up until here:

The Summer Before Seventh.
