Ellie POV
The gods (holy shit) were chanting in Greek. Percy was standing next to me, dressed head to toe in black, looking somber. The shrouds in front of us were ablaze with fire. His friend Rachel looked just as upset as the rest of us. I know, I only read about some of the people who died, but still felt the loss of all of them.

The weird thing was, and I can add ghosts to the list of things that are actually real, there were about four hundred ghosts surrounding us. The same number of people who died. Percy tensed as eight of the ghosts came up to us.

He wasn't angry. Or maybe he was both angry and sad. Tears were rolling down his face and he frequently wiped them away like he was mad they were there.

"How?" Percy asked in a whisper, looking at the ghosts.

"My dad Kelp Head." An Italian boy with black hair laughed. I recognized his description as Nico di Angelo. He was the same age as my brothers. Nico had his arm around a blonde boy.

Beside them, I saw Piper, a girl with a dark brown braid, an Asian boy, a girl with cinnamon brown curls, and a latino boy were next to her. The last ghost, I presumed, was Annabeth. Her description in the books were dead on.

"We are all in Elysium Percy. There was nothing you could have done." She said. The way she looked at Percy was sad.

Percy POV
I smiled a watery smile. Or tried to. It was hard seeing Annabeth, but more so seeing my dead friends.

"I'm not saying you should forget us. Just let go. Move on and let go." Reyna said.

"Percy, don't you dare blame yourself for everyone's death. You were having a bit of peace that you needed." Piper said.

"Do me a favor water boy. Free Calypso for me. Tell her I love her and will miss her for forever." Leo grinned.

"We'll be happy Percy. Don't forget the hunters. Check up on Thals once and a while." Annabeth said. Somehow, I thought she would have said something else.

No one else spoke. And then, they all vanished. My dad walked up, his face grim. He put his arm on my shoulder and he didn't have to say anything for me to know he'd be there if I needed.
