At school, I sat at the lunch table, waiting for Sota, and wondering. How had Ray figured it out? Then again, he caught me and Sota on Halloween, when he saw me holding his hand. All I remember was reaching out to hold it when that stupid zombie jumped out. I was so embarrassed. Now, Sota walked into the lunchroom, and I looked away, towards my homework, which was already finished. I was confused, with the devil and the angel on my shoulder. The angel told me to confess my feelings to Sota, so I could feel less stressed around him. The devil suggested I stay the way I am, telling me it would help me grow stronger to ignore my feelings. In the end, I found it hard to ignore my feelings, but did this make me act different around Sota, like Ray said? Sota's chair scraped backward, and he sat down, looking at me strangely. Finally, he said, "What's wrong, Miz?" I shook my head. "Nothing," I told him, and smiled at him. "Are you going to the fireworks festival?" We sat there for a while, and I began to get nervous. He then looked up, and smiled. "Yeah, I think so. And I think Rachel might- oh. Hey Ray? What's up?" he asked. Ray pulled back his chair, and sat down, looking towards me, sliding a piece of paper towards me. I looked at it. He got a C. He didn't seem happy. "I probably should've stayed here to get lessons instead of going off with my friends. I'm hoping you can forgive me.." I smiled right back at him, but he remained expressionless. "I need some help...." he said. We all looked at him, confused. "Rayna got in a fight on Saturday...."
