Angel's Pov
The trip back to the castle didn't take far too long as I first imagined it but mostly it was me drowning out Griffith and Aria's strange flirting by the time half the day flew by.

I found myself standing around the large dindiningble with the queen.

The king was actually never around that much during dinner time that's because he was off sleeping with other women wasn't the queen.

Us knights we basically know everything that goes around and o  ordered usually to keep quiet.

I propped my foot up against the stone wall behind me reading from a book I always read from.

A few other knights spread around the entire room as well.

"Mother this wonderful man saved me today while I was out with Angel, he saved my life." Aria giggled out.

I flicked my eyes up for a moment away from the words watching Queen Ariana sip from her teacup looking at Griffith and Aria with a light smile.

"So I have heard thank you for protecting my daughter she can be quite an idiot at times."

I held back a snort when Aria shot her mother a glare but turned to look back at Griffith who was drinking some wine, his eyes flashing over to me again.

He sent me a smile and I ended up avoiding the contact looking back down at my book clearing my throat quietly shifting around in place.

"It was no problem, I was just passing through, I'm a traveler, well I'm many things I'm sort of a knight myself." I shut my book for a moment listening in on the heated discussion.

"A knight? And I would mistake you for a prince any day." I leaned my head back on the stone wall a small headache making its way a bit.

"With looks like that yes mother I, would agree." Aria once again let the loudest giggled out leaving me to wince at how much louder.

"I'm actually quite impressed with Angel over there, I've never seen a woman move a blade like that, well maybe one." I fluttered my eyes open for a moment.

"Angel come." I pushed myself off the way holding my book behind me my shoes making noise as I walked towards the table standing near Queen Ariana.

"Yes, your majesty?" I questioned keeping my eyes on Griffith who was smiling at me more.

"Why don't you tell our dear guest about yourself?" I was a little taken back but I cleared my throat a couple times.

"Well okay then, I was sworn into knighthood when I was ten, I started my training at eleven, my duty is to protect  princess Aria and the royal family that is until I die then I am replaced." I flashed a fake smile hearing Griffith chuckle at me sweetly tucking his hair away.

"Impressive but I expect nothing less." I cracked a faint smile standing back up straight clearing my throat deeply.

"Well thank you, Griffith,"  I muttered tugging all my black hair over my shoulders.

I felt so strange around this man. I'm usually amazing at keeping a straight face and not having too many emotions.

"Angel, don't you think he would be an excellent husband to Aria?"  Me and Griffith were quick to break out eye contact.

"Excuse me?" Griffith questioned fast his pretty blue eyes growing wide when Aria then squeaked.

"I was just thinking that mother! You think we would have beautiful kids." She cooed.

I almost lost my composer right there laughing at the horrified expression on Griffith's face when he set his mug down fast coughing quietly.

"I don't think she can have kids she's infertile, " I muttered to myself but obviously he heard me next thing I know.

He was then laughing quietly but then quickly covered it up with a few loud coughs and chuckles, clearing his throat bowing his head down a bit his white hair getting into his face.

"With all due respect your majesty, I don't know if I would be fit for that position." He trailed off on the excuse locking eyes with me again.

"Oh nonsense I think you would be perfect, you have manners, maybe you can stop Aria from sleeping with every single man who gives her favors."

Aria squealed out fast slamming her hands on the table in a small thing of rage.

"Mother!" Queen Ariana didn't even loolookthered.

"What? Aren't I speaking the truth?" I rolled my eyes at the sudden fight.

I brought my now free hand to cover my mouth giggling when Griffith was just staring in horror before he looked back at me his eyes begging for some help.

"I'm sorry," I whispered to him still shaking with laughter watching him sigh quietly leaning back a bit.

Well looks like I'll be seeing his face quite a lot how interesting.
