"Fine, but first let me just say this, we are the youngest of the family, we are the tripod that holds everyone up so we need to support each other and have each others backs. So anything I tell you right now you can't freak out and tell the others okay?" I said nervously and they reluctantly nodded.

"It all started while I was waiting for Lexi to be done dancing with this guy," Joseph stiffened as I said that, "She wasn't gonna be done anytime soon so I went to the kitchen to get a drink, and this guy started talking to me on my way there."

"That's when you should have got me!" Melvin interrupted.

"Well I wasn't thinking, anyway I tried to avoid him by getting a drink but he insisted he tag along." I continued.

"Lydia what were you thinking?" Melvin whisper yelled.

"I don't know okay! Let me finish." I groaned.

"Okay, hurry up." He urged. Suddenly Marcus walked in groggily.

"Mmm," He muttered rubbing his eyes. He came and lied on my bed next to Joseph.

"This is not a slumber party!" I hissed, overwhelmed by the three big bodies occupying my small room.

"Keep going Lydia," Melvin instructed.

"I'm gonna yak," Marcus moaned, his eyes closed. I quickly grabbed my trash can and shoved it in his face while Joseph rubbed his back soothingly.

"So he didn't get the hint, but I needed some air so he came with me," I continued, only lying a little bit. Marcus was too drunk and nauseas to hear anything we were saying.

"Are you out of your mind? Lydia who the hell is this guy? I have to go tell Leo." Melvin shouted angrily clenching his fists and making his way to the door. I quickly jumped up in front of him and Joseph grabbed his arm.

"Melvin relax," Joseph said.

"You promised!" I pleaded.

"What the hell Lydia!" He shouted but stepped back a little.

"It's honestly not a big deal, we went outside he asked me about my classes and I wanted to go back inside so I did. Ronnie opened the door before I could, and he saw and jumped to conclusions. I swear nothing happened," The words were spilling out quickly now, I was afraid he was going to break my wall, or even worse, go downstairs and tell Leo.

"Is that all that happened?" Melvin asked slowly, trying to calm himself down.

"Yes, I swear Melvin," I said frantically, I wasn't sure if he was under control yet.

"Lydia you know you shouldn't be talking to guys alone." He spit out through clenched teeth. Joseph sat back down, angry but tired.

"I know, I know I'm sorry I was just drunk and stupid and I know that doesn't matter but I'm sorry." I said on the verge of tears.

"You shouldn't even have been drinking," He said, more to himself than me.

"I know," I said softly. It was true, I was too young for that stuff, it was irresponsible.

"No more drinking." He said firmly, I expected as much.

"Okay," I agreed, "Just please don't tell Marcus, or any of the others."

"I won't Lydia." He sighed, and stepped forward, hugging me. I hugged him back.

"I'm sorry," I whispered against his chest.

"I know loser." He laughed.

We pulled apart and looked to my bed, Marcus was asleep still holding my trash can as if it was a life preserve. Joseph had also fallen asleep during our discussion.

"Don't wake them, just sleep in Marcus' bed." Melvin whispered.

"Okay," I whispered back. We walked out and I went to the bathroom.

I looked in the mirror after brushing my teeth and washing off my make up. I smiled at my reflection, I had talked to a guy this night for more than ten seconds and he wasn't even one of my brother's friends. He even admitted to wanting to kiss me, that was probably the closest thing to a first kiss I would get until I was 35.

I started doing my happy dance and I was getting really into it when Melvin opened the door, staring at me like I had three heads.

"Come on Lydia, you need to sleep off that alcohol." He said pushing me to their room.

"Oh shut up," I rolled my eyes.

I got into Marcus' bed, thank god Mom changed the sheets every week. Melvin got into his bed, Marcus and Melvin shared a room of course, and and as soon as I closed my eyes I fell asleep.

*Morning*

I woke up with the worst headache, my throat felt dry and I was a little nauseas. I looked up and Melvin was still asleep, I checked the time, it was 10:00 am. I sat up and saw on the nightstand someone had put a glass of water, an advil, and a banana. I took the advil and ate the banana, it calmed my stomach and my headache started to subside.

I walked out of my room, bumping into Joseph.

"Sorry, good morning," I smiled sheepishly at my little brother.

"Morning, I read online that potassium absorbs the alcohol, and the advil was for the headache," He explained, blushing a little. So that explained the banana, I thought.

"You googled hangovers," I said pinching his cheek, he was hands down the greatest brother ever.

"Oh shut up," He muttered, shrugging my hand off but fighting a smile.

I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, when I was done with my morning routine I walked downstairs where my mother was doing something or other in the kitchen.

"Morning mom," I said.

"Morning Bella, how was your party?" She asked, "See any cute boys?"

"Yeah Lydia, see any cute boys?" Leo said loudly walking into the kitchen, I couldn't help but laugh.

"Yeah mom there's this guy, wow he's so cute," I joked, Leo came and ruffled my hair.

"Yeah I'm sure he's cute, what kind of dog food does he prefer?" Leo asked.

"Oh hush," My mother scolded playfully, "At this rate, the way you all treat her she will never get married."

"Of course she's never getting married, she's going to get a job as a nun, she'll be married to god." He said as if that was obvious, I snorted.

"If you two are done talking about my future, I would like to eat my breakfast in peace." I announced.

"Lydia wait for your brothers, I'm making bacon." She said.

"But I'm hungry," I whined.

"Then go wake them up," My mother answered. I perked up at the thought of waking them up the same way they always wake me up.

"Okay!" I shouted and bounded up the stairs. Leo shouted after me not to wake Felix and Greg up, I shouted back that I heard him.

"Joe!" I shouted breathlessly running into his room.

"What?" He said looking up from his phone.

"Come help me wake everyone up, ma won't let us eat unless they're all awake. She made bacon!" I explained.

"Bacon? Hell yeah, I'm in, let's go." He said following me out the door.

We went into my room and saw the sleeping Marcus. He was no longer holding the trashcan but he was fast asleep, I thought of the night of drinking he had and stepped back slightly.

"Maybe we should wake him after Melvin," I suggested, if we woke him up not only would he be a very angry Marcus, but a very hungover one.

"One step ahead of you," Joseph whispered, already out the door. We went into Melvin's room and didn't hesitate to jump on top of him.

"DOG PILE!" Joseph shouted and jumped on top of me.

"What the- GET OFF!" Melvin said gaining conciousness. I laughed and Joseph got off, before I could get off Melvin grabbed me and wrapped me in the blanket, squeezing me to death.

"How many times have I told you not to wake me up? Huh?" He growled squishing me with his blanket.

"Melvin, Mom's making bacon! I swear it's for a good cause," Joseph explained to him while I lost the ability to breathe.

"Bacon? What are you waiting for, let's go!" He said quickly releasing me. I gasped welcoming in the air.

"You suck Melvin," I grumbled.

"You love me," He grinned and we walked back to my room.

"You do it."
"No you do it."
"Lydia should do it"
"What the hell, no I shouldn't."
"It's your room."
"I am a lady."
"That's questionable."
"I'm the youngest in the family, I shouldn't do it."
"I'm the oldest out of us three, I shouldn't do it."

"Unbelievable. Wussies, both of you," I muttered sourly. We were standing in the doorway debating on who should wake Marcus up. I walked forward. They shut the door behind me and I cursed under my breath.

I grabbed a pillow from the floor and held it in front of me as a shield. I took one of my stuffed animals and got to a safe distance before I threw it at him.

"Mmm," He groaned in his sleep.

"Wake up Marcus," I said softly.

"But the care bears," He mumbled, oh my god he was sleep talking, I stifled a giggle and kept talking.

"They'll be okay," I said gently, "They just want you to open your eyes."

He suddenly got up and chucked his pillow full force at me, I ducked just in time. He was still asleep.

"Come on Marcus." I pleaded.

"Five more hours," He begged.

"Mom made bacon." I said finally. His eyes flew open and he shot up.

"Mom made bacon?" He said, full of energy.

"Then what are you doing here?" He asked.

"I was waking you up," I said. His eyes flicked down to the pillow I was still holding up defensively. He rose an eyebrow.

"I thought you were gonna be super hung over and grumpy." I explained sheepishly.

"It takes a lot more than that to get me hungover," He scoffed walking out the door. As he walked by Melvin and Joseph stood staring at him.

"And that, is how it's done." I smirked as they looked at me awestruck.

*Breakfast*

"Mmm, this is good mom," Marcus said, his voice muffled by the bacon and eggs stuffed in his mouth.

"Marcus don't talk with your mouth full, it's gross," I scolded him.

"Then close your eyes," He snapped and opened his disgusting mouth, showing me the mashed up food.

"Marcus behave you self," My mother threatened, a wooden spoon in her hand.

"Ew," Joseph chuckled quietly.

We were all gathered around he table, Marcus, Melvin, Joseph, Leo and I. We were eating bacon and eggs, I of course only had my first serving before the boys reached for their thirds.

"Lydia are you working on monday?" My mother asked.

"Yeah," I responded. I worked in the restaraunt after school most days.

"Marcus? You hear that? Lydia's working, you better be there too. None of that girlfriend business," Leo said sternly to Marcus.

"Oh I almost forgot your girlfriend is coming over!" My mother exclaimed panicked.

"You guys are still together?" Melvin asked jokingly.

"Shut up," Marcus laughed.

"You know what, I'm not even that hungry anymore, thanks mom," I said to my mom, suddenly uncomfortable at the change of topic. I had only eaten half of my eggs, I hadn't even touched the bacon. I really didn't want to hear another word about this girl. It was pissing me off.

"You barely ate," She said, concerned.

"Oh no, I ate a lot Mama, I swear I'm full," I assured her as I walked to the sink.

"You barely ate anything," Melvin said, not buying it.

"Yeah well I'm not hungry," I said and slammed my plate in the sink and stalked off. Everyone just stared after me confused at my sudden change in mood.

"Probably PMSing," I heard Marcus whisper, Melvin burst into laughter. I clenched my fists as I walked up the stairs to my room. I heard footsteps behind me and I whirled around expecting Melvin or Marcus, but it was Joseph.

"Lydia what's wrong?" He asked.

"Leave me alone Joe." I said, just wanting to call Lexi and vent to her about how much I hated the idea of Marcus having a girlfriend.

"If this is about Marcus' girlfriend I think you should know-" He started.

"Okay look Joe, I don't want to talk about it right now, I really don't, so just let me have my girl time with Lexi and I will be on my best behavior for tonight." I said sarcastically.

"Okay, fine," He said slowly, he wasn't used to me being so harsh with him, he was usually the one I talked to with these kinds of things.

I walked into my room and grabbed my phone, I had a missed call from Lexi from a half hour ago, I called her back.

"Lydia? Finally, where the hell were you." Her voice came through the phone.

"Hey Lex!" I laughed half heartedly.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" She asked concerned.

"Yeah, well no, can we talk?" I asked afraid if I spoke more about it I would cry.

"Of course Lyd," She said, still confused, "Do you want to go to starbucks?"

"Yes, please," I sighed, "Let me just ask my mom and I'll text you okay?"

"Yeah, sure, let me know," She said.

I hung up and walked downstairs, the boys were watching Tv and all looked up when I walked in.

"Lydia-" Marcus started to say.

"Shut it." I said holding my hand up. I walked into the kitchen where my mom was.

"Hey Ma, can I go to starbucks with Lexi?" I asked.

"Yeah, of course, do you need anything? More money? Do you two want to get manicures?" She asked frantically, she loved when I went out of the house with Lexi, she thought I needed more "girl time".

And at the moment, so did I.
