Liam's pov

Zayn has just left the band. I have been stressed and exhausted. I have had a banging headache all day it feels like a migraine but something seems odd about this one. I can't pin point what is odd about it but I just feel off. I say to Niall quietly so I don't activate my headache "Ni could I have some water please" he nods and hands me a bottle of water. I slowly start to drink the water. I am glad we have the day off today I don't think I would have made it through the day.

A few hours later Niall's pov

Liam has been very quiet today I say to him "Are you ok Liam?" But he doesn't answer. I wave my hand in front of his face and he looks at me "Are you ok Li?" He shakes his head sadly and says "I have a headache which I think will turn into a migraine" I respond "Do you want to take medicine?" He shakes his head and I am confused he normally takes some before his migraines get to bad I say to him "Are you sure li?" He nods and says "Something feels off about this one. I can't pin point what it is though. It doesn't feel like a normal migraine" Then he whispers so only I can hear "I'm really scared Niall" I say to him "It's alright Liam. We all will be here for you" he nods slightly.

About five minutes later Liam's head drops and he falls to the floor and he starts shaking like he is having a seizure. I start the stop watch on my watch and say "Harry go and get Liam some clean trousers and boxers just in case and a blanket, Louis help me push the table and sofa away from Liam and I'll time the seizure" they nod and go and do their respective jobs. Me and Louis carefully manage to push the sofa and table out of the way so he doesn't hurt himself more. I look down at the stop watch and see it has been one and a half minutes. I watch Liam closely as he starts foaming at the mouth which has some blood in it which means he has bit his tongue. I notice a large wet patch spreading over Liam's crotch just as Harry comes down with the blanket and spare clothes for Liam he says "How long has his seizure lasted for?" I look at my watch and respond "Two minutes. If it lasts longer than 5 minutes call an ambulance" they nod. About half a minute later Liam stops having a seizure and I say "Louis go and call the hospital and see if it would be worth bringing him in. The seizure lasted for two and a half minutes" Louis nods and leaves the room. Liam groans and I say "Li open your eyes bud." He slowly opens his eyes and says slurred "Wh..what happened?" I respond to him "You had a seizure Li. Focus on waking up properly don't talk" he nods slightly. Once he is more awake he becomes aware of the wet spot on his joggers. I see the tears welling up in his eyes I say to him "Li what's wrong?" He says "Can only Niall stay" Harry nods and leaves the clothes and blanket on the sofa for me before he leaves the room.

As Harry leaves the room Liam starts crying I gently help him to sit up against the sofa and I say "Hey what's wrong bud?" He responds still crying  "I had an accident" I say to him "It is a normal thing with seizures. I have got some more clothes for you" he nods and says embarrassed "Can you help me. I don't think I will be able to get off the floor" I nod and help him to take off his joggers and boxers. He hides his face in embarrassment I quickly help Liam to put on some new boxers and trousers he lowers his hands and I see his cheeks are a deep shade of red from embarrassment. I say to him gently  "Don't be embarrassed buddy having accidents are normal during a seizure" he nods and starts crying "I'm sorry" I say to him gently "Why are you sorry bud?" He exclaims tearfully "I wet myself and you had to help me" I respond "It's alright Liam, I don't mind I like to help people" I gently pull him into a hug and I rub his back.

After a few minutes Louis comes back in and says to me "The hospital doesn't want to see him today because it is his first one. They said monitor him over the next week and if he has more to bring him in or if his seizure lasts five minutes or longer" I nod and continue to rub his back even though he is asleep. I say "I don't think I will be able to sleep if seizures happen they sometimes happen at night and the person can really hurt themselves" Louis says "Would you feel more comfortable if you and Liam shared a room for a while. You seem to know what to do when someone is having a seizure" I say to him "One of my friends has epilepsy. I have witnessed a few seizures and memorised what to do just in case I needed to help someone in a similar situation" he nods

Skipping to a concert in the middle of the week still Niall's pov

We are about half way through the concert and I have been continuously watching Liam. He has only had the one seizure on Monday it is now Wednesday. Liam looks terrible suddenly he collapses on the ground and starts having a seizure. I immediately start my stop watch and run over to him whilst Louis and Harry distracts the crowd I make sure that that is nothing that could harm Liam in anyway out of the way. I look down at my watch and see it has been a minute since he has started the seizure. He starts foaming at the mouth and again there is blood in it. I look out to the crowd and see some of them trying to figure out what is happening. I look over at Harry and Louis and see that they are both looking very worried but keeping it together for the sake of the fans. I look back down at Liam and see a large wet spot still expanding on his jeans. He is going to be so embarrassed once he wakes up properly. I look down at my watch and see it has been 3 and a half minutes and he is still having a seizure I'm really worried.

Paul comes on stage with a sheet and something to hold it up and he puts it around Liam and I. I take my mic off just as Paul comes round and says to me " I've put this up so that Liam has some privacy. How long has his seizure lasted for?" I look at my watch and say "Four and a half minutes. Two minutes longer than his one on Monday" Paul nods and says "I'm going to call an ambulance the security is trying to get the fans out of here but they are too worried about Liam" I nod and hear Liam groan" I look down at him and I see that his eyes are open and he is sort of alert. I stop my timer and say "It lasted for five minutes exactly" Paul nods and leaves the curtains and goes to call an ambulance.

As Liam becomes more alert he tries to sit up but I don't allow him to "No Li stay laying down buddy" he responds "Nini what happened. All I remember is singing" I respond to him "You had a seizure in the middle of a concert. No one blames you though. It lasted for five minutes exactly so you need to go to the hospital" he looks down and spots the wet patch and starts crying. I gently rub his stomach and say it doesn't matter" he says "None of the fans know right?" I shake my head and say "No they don't know about what happened to you" I poke my head round the curtains and Louis comes over "Is he ok?" I shake my head and say "Could you discreetly get Liam some clean dry trousers and boxers his seizure lasted for five minutes exactly so Paul is calling the ambulance" he nods and goes backstage.

After a couple of minutes Louis comes back with a bag and he says to me "That was the most discreet way of bringing them on" I nod and say to Liam "Would you like help again?" He says sadly "Yeah" I nod and pull down his trousers and take them off completely. I say to him quietly as possible but so he can still hear me "I'm going to take off your boxers now" he nods and blushes as I pull them down and put on clean ones and some clean trousers. I put his wet stuff in the bag so that we can wash them later.

Paul comes back rounds the curtains with the paramedics who carefully places Liam on the stretcher. "Nini don't leave me" I look at Paul and the paramedics and the paramedics says "Yeah if you were with him for the seizure you will need to come with us so we know what happened" I nod and hold his hand gently "Don't worry bud I won't leave you" we go out to the ambulance and Liam gets wheeled in and I get in after him. One of the paramedics says to me "How long did his seizure last for both times he had one?" I respond still looking at Liam "The one on Monday lasted for two and a half minutes and the one today lasted for five minutes exactly" the paramedics nod and says "Where were you when he had the seizures" I respond "The one on Monday we were at home having the day off and this time we were on stage half way through a concert" they nod again "When we get to the hospital Liam will need to go for tests so you will need to wait in the waiting room" I nod and sigh knowing Liam will hate that.

Once we are at the hospital Liam gets wheeled away but once he realises that I'm not going with him he starts crying and calling me.

Liam's pov

I don't wanna be alone Niall said he wouldn't leave me. The doctor takes me into a room and starts to speak to me "You will need a CT scan to scan your brain to see what is causing you to have the seizures" I nod slightly and the doctor takes me to the CT scan they put me on the bed that will take me into the machine and they start to send me back into it. My breathing picks up as I start panicking "Get me out I don't wanna" the bed gets pulled back out and the radiologist says "What's wrong?" I respond "I don't wanna go in there too small" another doctor puts some completely black glasses on me so I can't see and they start to move the bed again.

About 5 minutes later they take me out and I take off the glasses. The doctors help me back on my original bed and they wheel me into my original room. Before the doctor leaves I say "Can Niall come in now. I don't wanna be alone" the doctor nods and leaves the room.

Niall's pov

The boys have arrived about 10 minutes ago. We are waiting to hear news on Liam. I look up as a doctor comes out of Liam's room "You can go and see him now but you need to let him rest as well alright" we all nod and we go into Liam's room. I gently push Liam's door open and he instantly looks up. I smile at him and go further into the room "Have you heard anything Liam?" He shakes his head and says quietly "Ni can I have a hug?" I nod and get into Liam's bed and I pull him into my chest. Harry and Louis sits in chairs next to the bed and Harry says "How are you feeling Liam?" He shrugs "Tired and scared of what might be wrong with me" I notice tears welling up in Liam's eyes and I say to him "Hey we will be here for you no matter what" he nods and wipes his eyes. Liam yawns and I Harry says to him "Why don't you get some sleep buddy?" Liam nods and cuddles further into me and falls asleep.

About half an hour later Liam's doctor comes in and says "I have some good news. There is no brain tumour which is what we were worried about" Louis responds "What is making him have the seizures then?" The doctor responds "We are not sure, we recon he has epilepsy, we are going to have an Electroencephalogram to test his brain activity just to be sure" I say "What is an electroencephalogram?" The doctor responds "It will help diagnose Liam by recording his brain activities. We will stick some discs called electrodes to his head and it will monitor his brain activity. We want to keep Liam over night so we can do the Electroencephalogram when he wakes up in the morning" we nod and the doctor says "One person can stay with him" Harry says to me "Niall you stay he is asleep on you" I nod and Harry and Louis leaves the room. The doctor leaves the room and I smile down at Liam who is still asleep.

The next morning still Niall's pov

I get woken up at by Liam shaking me "Niall, Niall wake up." I open my eyes and say "Morning Li how are you feeling today?" He shrugs and says "What's happing today?" I respond "You are having to have a Electroencephalogram" Liam looks confused "What's that?" I respond "You will have some disks called electrodes to your head and it will monitor your brain activity" Liam nods looking scared "Don't worry bud I will be with you" Liam nods again looking slightly relieved and he says with tears welling up in his eyes "I just wanna know what's wrong with me" I rub his back and say "Hopefully we will find out today. Yesterday whilst you were asleep the doctor came in and said it was definitely not a brain tumour which they were worried about" Liam looks scared and panicked. His breathing picks up and he says sounding really scared "Brain tumour. I have a brain tumour" I say "Liam I said that the doctor said that you didn't have a brain tumour I sorry buddy I didn't mean to scare you" Liam nods and says "I defiantly don't have a brain tumour then" I nod "You defiantly don't have one" he nods as the doctor comes in "Morning boys. Niall did you tell Liam what was going on today?" I nod "Yeah I did" the doctor nods and says "Niall you can be in the room but you will need to sit on the chair" I nod and slowly get off the bed and sit in the chair beside Liam's bed. I smile at him. The doctor starts to put the electrodes on Liam's head and he looks at me looking scared. I try and give him a reassuring smile but I am struggling to see him like this. The doctor finally finished putting the electrodes on Liam's head and says "Could you read a few paragraphs of this book for me" he nods and reads a couple of paragraphs.

As the test goes on Liam looks like he might have another seizure and I am correct. He starts seizing on the bed. I start the timer on my watch the doctor nods seeing that I am timing the seizure. I am watching him making sure he doesn't hurt himself and incase he has an accident. I glance down at my watch and see it has been two minutes since he started his seizure I look back at him and see a wet patch expanding on his jogging bottoms. After about thirty seconds I hear Liam groaning and he slowly opens his eyes. I stop the stop watch and say "His seizure lasted for two minutes thirty-five seconds" the doctor nods and Liam says "Wha...what happened?" I respond "You had a seizure buddy" he slowly says "Di..did I ha..have you know?" I instantly know what he is talking about and I nod I see his eyes well up with tears. I gently take his hand "It doesn't matter bud" he says tearfully "It does though." Then he says quietly so only I can hear him "It's embarrassing I can't control my own bladder when I am having a seizure" I feel my heart break for my best friend and I say to him "I know bud but it is normal for people who have seizures have accidents" the doctor nods and says "It is normal Liam you don't need to be embarrassed" Liam's face turns a bright red colour and he buries his face in his hands. Then the doctor says "It has been an hour now. So I will take off the electrodes and I'll go and get Liam a hospital gown that he can wear for now" I nod and text Louis to bring Liam some clean boxers and jogging bottoms when they come.

The doctor takes off the electrodes from Liam's head and leaves the room. Liam looks at me with tears falling down his face in silent waterfalls. I pull him into a hug. As soon as I hug him I feel his shoulders begin to shake at the force of his silent sobs and say "It's going to be ok Liam" he shakes his head. The doctor comes in and hands me the hospital gown. I smile and the nurse says to me "He can change in the bathroom if he can stand and I'll sort out his bed" I nod and say "Li let's go and get changed out of these clothes" I feel him nod against my shoulder. I carefully help him to stand up and he says quietly "Ni can you come with me?" I nod and help him into the bathroom.

Once we are in the bathroom Liam puts the lid down on the toilet and sits down. I say to him "Would you like some help?" He nods and I pull down his jogging bottoms and I take them off his feet. I say to him gently "Li bud I'm about to take off your boxers" he nods and allows me to take off his boxers I quickly put the gown on Liam and help him to stand up. "Lean on the sink buddy and I will help you to tie up the strings at the back" he nods and leans on the sink. I quickly tie up the strings and I make sure he keeps his privacy with the gown and I say to him "Let's go and get you back into bed. You look exhausted" he nods and leans most of his weight on me.

I support him back to the bed and the doctor says to Liam "It's all ready for you Liam. Call if you need anything" he nods tiredly and I help him to lay down. He looks at me with his puppy eyes and his signature pout. The doctor leaves the room as I get into bed next to Liam and he cuddles into me and falls asleep instantly. After about an hour Harry and Louis walk in and Louis says "Why did you ask for some more boxers and jogging bottoms for Liam?" I respond "He has a seizure whilst he had the test" they nod and Louis puts the bag down on the bedside table. Harry says to me "Other the seizure how was the test?" I respond "I don't know. He got quite upset a few times and then the seizure happened. I just want this to be over for him. He doesn't deserve this pain" the others nod in agreement.

About ten minutes later Liam begins to wake up and he says quietly "Ni" I look down and see Liam is awake "Hey bud how do you feel?" Liam responds "I'm tired and I wanna go back home" I sigh "I don't know when you can go home bud but I promise that we all will be here for you" He nods sadly and curls into me more. I say to Liam "Do you want to change into the boxers and jogging bottoms that Louis and Harry brought for you?" He nods again and I hand him the boxers and trousers. He puts the boxers and the trousers on underneath the hospital gown. "Niall could you help me untie the hospital gown please?" I nod and untie the hospital gown for Liam. He takes it off and smiles.

The doctor comes in and says "You can go home now. You will need to come back in two days to see her the results of the Electroencephalogram" we all nod and we go down to Louis car. Liam gets in the middle seat and I sit one side of him whilst Louis sits in the drivers seat and Harry sits shotgun. We all strap in and Liam leans his head on my shoulder and closes his eyes and soon his soft snoring can be heard. Once we are home I gently unstrap both of us and I carefully pick up Liam and carry him into the living room.

Two days later Liam's pov

Today is the day I find out the results of the test that I can't remember the name of now. Niall is coming with me again. Once we are at the hospital we get taken into the room and the doctor starts instantly "We have analysed your brain activity and you have epilepsy" we both nod and the doctor continues "We are going to put you on the basic epilepsy medication to begin with but if the seizures keep on happening come back in or to any hospital and the medication will review the medication" we nod and collect the prescription from the pharmacy.
