Niall's pov

We are just about to start our on the road again tour. Liam is coming with us again. We are all packed and ready to go to the airport. I say to Liam "You ready to go buddy?" Liam nods and we go downstairs. Mum says "You boys ready to go?" We both nod and mum drives us to the airport. Mum hugs Liam and says "Bye Liam have fun. Love you" Liam hugs back and says "Love too." Mum hugs me and says to me "Bye Niall. Have fun. Look after Liam. Love you" I say "Love you too. I will" I show the airport person our boarding passes and we go on the aeroplane.

I put Liam's ear defenders on and he signs Niall I'm scared. I say "What are you scared of Liam?" He signs Taking off. I say "Li I promise we will be fine." The plane starts to move and Liam grips my hand and squeezes his eyes shut. Once we are in the air I take off Liam's ear defenders and say "Li we are in the air now" Liam nods and opens his eyes. He leans his head on my shoulder and signs I can't wait to see the boys again. I smile and say "They can't wait to see you ether Liam"

Once we have landed I help Liam off the plane and we are met by screams of fans. Liam starts whimpering and pulling at his hair. I look round for the boys but I can't see them. I hope they haven't been mobbed by the fans. I get a text from Harry saying 'We are running a bit late there is quite a lot of traffic' I message back saying 'That's fine. You won't be able to get through the doors though. There is loads of fans in the way. I'll go and chat to the security' Harry messages back saying 'Alright. I'll let Louis know as well.' I say to Liam "Come on bud let's go and talk to security" Liam nods and looks up at me with tear filled brown eyes. I say "Hey why are you crying buddy?" Liam signs Too loud. I nod and take his hand which makes the crowd scream louder.

I take Liam over to the airport security and they say "We are in the process of trying to disperse the crowd" I nod and say "Could you let me know when the crowd has been dispersed please?" The security nods and says "Do you want to sit in here and then he can calm down" I nod and I take Liam into the room behind the security desk. I pull Liam on my lap and gently rock him from side to side trying to calm him down. About ten minutes later I look down at Liam and see that he has fallen asleep.

About half an hour later the main security guard comes in and says "The crowd has gone and your friends are waiting for you by their car" I nod and say "Thank you." I gently pick Liam up and carry him out of the door which the guard is holding open for us and says "Your welcome. See you soon" I nod and carry Liam out to Louis' car.

Louis spots us and says "Niall Liam over here." I walk over to him and say "Shh Liam is asleep. He fell asleep whilst we were waiting for the crowd to disperse." Everyone nods and I slid in the car and gently put Liam in and strap him in. I strap myself in and we start to drive off.

Skipping to the week before Zayn leaves the band still Niall's pov

We are all sat in Zayn's room waiting for him to speak. Liam is sat next to me looking confused. He signs to me niall What is going on? I say "I'm not sure buddy" Zayn stands up and says "I'm leaving the band next week. I can't cope anymore. I need some time" Liam's eyes fill up with tears and signs Zaynie don't go. Zayn says "I'm sorry Liam. I need to go. I don't wanna hurt any of you. Especially not you Liam. But I need to go for my mental health" Liam's tears spills over and he buries his face in my shoulder. I gently rub his back and Harry says "We will miss you Zayn. We really will" Zayn nods and I say "I understand why you want to to leave and I respect that" Zayn says "Thanks Niall. Louis what about you?" Louis just stands up and leaves the room. Zayn sighs and says "I really didn't mean to hurt any of you" both me and Harry say at the same time "I know" Zayn nods and says "Can I be alone for a while?" We both nod and I gently pick Liam up. Harry says "If you need anything just call. Zayn nods and we both leave the room.

I carry Liam out of the room and to our room. I unlock our door and open it. I lay Liam on his bed and I go back and lock the door. I look over at Liam and see that he is sobbing into a pillow. He hates it when something changes and this is a big change. Zayn is our brother. I go over to the bed and hold Liam and he signs to me Does Zayn hate me? Is that why he is leaving? Have I done something wrong? I say to him "No buddy he doesn't hate you and you are not the reason he is leaving. He is getting so much hate from people and you haven't done something wrong buddy. I promise" Liam looks up at me and signs You promise? I respond "I promise buddy" I kiss his head in a brotherly way and sing him the lullaby mum used to sing us when we were little and soon Liam is sound asleep clutching my top. I decide to go to sleep as well. I hold Liam protectively.

A few weeks later still Niall's pov

Liam is still really struggling to get to grips that Zayn has left. He keeps on looking round for Zayn and when he realises that he is gone he looks really sad. We are all trying to keep Liam busy and distracted. Most nights when we have concerts Liam ether comes out for the whole thing or just the last half of it or the first half depending on the day and how tired Liam is. Tonight Liam has refused to leave my side all day. I think he is going to stay on stage with us all concert tonight. I help Liam to put on his ear defenders and say to him "You wanna come on stage with us again?" Liam nods and signs I wanna stay with you. I nod and take Liam to the stage Louis says "Is he staying for the whole concert again?" I nod and say "Yeah he doesn't want to leave me again. I think he might be coming down with something" the others nod and we go out on stage.

Half way though the concert Liam hasn't left my side at all. Normally he would go and mess around with Louis and Harry but he has just stuck by me. I wrap my arm around his shoulders and he signs to me My head hurts and my tummy hurts. I move my mic away from my face and say "Oh buddy. Are you ok? Do you want to go backstage with Paul?" Liam shakes his head and signs Stay with you Nini. I nod and we continue the concert. Louis comes up to me and whispers in my ear "Is Liam alright? He looks really pale." I shake my head and whisper back "He doesn't feel well. I'm glad we have a week off after this" Louis nods and says "We'll keep and eye on him for the rest of the concert" I nod.

At the end of the concert Liam drags me backstage after we finished our thank yous and saying goodbye to the fans and he drags me to the bathroom. Liam crashes to his knees and throws up. I gently rub his back and he tries to sign I don't wanna be sick. I say to him "You'll be fine buddy. I promise. I won't leave you." Liam continues to throw up for about five minutes before he collapses against me crying. He signs I wanna talk to mum. I say "Let's get to the hotel then we can call mum yeah" Liam nods and I take him to the van. Harry says "Is he alright?" I shake my head and say "He threw up. He'll be fine though." Both Louis and Harry nods and Paul drives to the hotel.

Once we are at the hotel I carry Liam up to the room since he is asleep. I gently lay Liam down in the bed. He shoots up and signs Nini don't go. I say "I'm not going anywhere. I'm just getting my laptop so we can call mum" Liam nods and I get my laptop and I go back to the bed. I sit down and Liam cuddles into my side. I turn my laptop on and click on Skype and I call my mum. She answers after a couple of rings. She says "Hi boys. I miss you both" I say "We miss you too mum. Liam wants to tell you something" mum looks at Liam and says "You alright darling?" Liam shakes his head and signs I don't feel well mummy. My tummy and head hurts" mum pouts and says "Poor baby. Niall have you checked his temperature?" I shake my head and say "I haven't yet I was just about to." I get up and Liam tugs my sleeve. I look round at him and say "What's up buddy." Liam signs no go Nini. I say "I'm just going to get the thermometer" Liam pouts but nods and I grab the thermometer quickly and go back to the bed. I put the thermometer in Liam's ear and press the button. Once it beeps I take it out of his ear and say "39.5. Let's get some fever reducers in you and a cold cloth. You talk to mum and I'll grab those things quickly" Liam nods and I go to the bathroom and soak a cloth in cold water and grab the medicines.

I take them back to Liam and get him to take the medication before I say to him "Lay back Liam" Liam nods and lays down. I put the cloth on his head and he starts to fall asleep. Once Liam is asleep mum says "Call me when he is better" I nod and the call ends. I follow Liam to sleep.

About a week later Liam is feeling much better and we are all ready to get back to our crazy schedule.

At the end of tour no one's pov

Liam has been really sad since the band announced the hiatus. Niall says to Liam "We will still see the boys I promise Liam." Liam signs I will miss them so much when I can't see them Niall says "I know buddy. Even when they can't see us we can always FaceTime them. Both Harry and Louis miss you so much. We haven't really heard from Zayn much but I am sure he misses you loads to buddy. Plus none of us are going to leave you because we all love you so much buddy" Liam smiles his first real smile since the end of tour and laughs. Niall laughs along with Liam missing the happy Liam. He says "I'm happy that you are smiling again Liam." Liam smiles and signs "I like being happy Nini. It is fun. I will still miss touring though because that was fun too. Niall smiles at him and says "I'll miss it too buddy I'll miss it too."
