I could not believe it.

What did I get myself into? Here I am, sitting in a large double bed, waiting for my 'new' roommate to come out of the bathroom. The minute he came out, I glared at him. Drac was wearing a pink pyjama and with it...a massive frown. He was just about to get into bed, as I spoke up "Keep your fangs as far away from me, vampire."

He sighted loud "Classic human paranoia...who wants to bite you anyway? Your blood must be rotten to the very core."

I turned my back to him "...matching to your rotten soul."

"Just for the record, if Mavis didn't ask me to do this...I would have never agreed to this."

"It it wasn't for Sally I wouldn't have done either. Now, will you shut up and let me sleep!"

But he didn't "You just started this conversation!"

"And I am going to finish it now, so shut it!"

Drac moved that large sheet to get in, as I jumped up at the movement "Stay away!"

"I am just trying to get into bed woman!"

"Just so you know, I am prepared if you dare to come any closer."

Drac looked at me skeptical "Don't tell me, you have garlic with you...oh no, no, no...a cross under your pillow."

"Even deadlier" I said, holding two chopsticks in my hand. Drac couldn't help himself and burst out laughing. I glared "Don't mock me, if you dare I...I...acupuncture your heart, with these."

He yawned loud "Good luck with that, but please do it quietly...I am trying to sleep."

"Same to you" with that, be turned our backs to each other and tired to sleep.

But neither of us could.

I felt really uncomfortable, as I didn't hear a single sound from him. "Hey are you dead?" I whispered. "What gives you that idea?" replied an annoyed count. "I can't hear you...and you smell...like a rotten corpse."

That is it, he thought. He jumped out of the bed, switched on the lights and glared at me "This isn't going to work with us." He took the pillow and left the room. "Giving up already count? That is good", he suddenly stopped at the door. Before I know it, he came back, threw his pillow onto the bed and lied beside me again.

And here I thought I had won the fight.

"Dad, are you awake?" We could hear Mavis from the other side of the door. Drac sighted lightly "Yes honey bat."

I sniggered "Honey bat?"

"Shut up you. What is it honey?"

"Can you watch Tinkles for me? Dennis has to go to school."

"Yes, sure honey spider."

I listened to their conversation, till Mavis was no longer at the door "How do you want to sleep and watch a dog at the same time?"

"That is my business!" he snapped.

We both tired, one more time to sleep, but then, a whimper came from the door.

I moaned "Drac, the dog!"

"He will stop any time soon!"

Or so he thought. The puppy managed to break the door and jumped right onto the bed. He was more on Drac's side as on mine, making him drop to the floor. I turned around, looking into big round eyes "Awww are you a cutie...unlike the old dog on the floor."

"I could hear the count moan "I pretend I didn't hear that." The next he tried to get this big dog off the bed. At the same time, I petted the puppy and spoke to him, how sweet he is and cuddly. Drac was frustrated "Don't encourage him to stay!"

"Shhh, don't you see he is tired."

Drac moaned loud "I am tired!"

"Tough! Sleep on the floor."

If glares could kill, he would have murdered me and the puppy all together. "One worse than the other "he thought, lying himself on the floor...no sheet and no pillow.

How long will Drac survive this?
