All eyes were set on us.
From the outside, we were dancing normal, but from the inside it felt odd. We did this so many times, that I hardly had to pay attention to the steps. My mind was else were.
He would have removed Jonny if he didn't fell for Mavis. These words were repeating in my mind countless times, making it harder for me to accept my own hatred towards the count. It sickens me that he was holding me close, his hand on one side of my hip and the other holding my hand. He seems to be just as absent as I was. His eyes weren't directly looking at mine; he rather paid more attention to something behind me. I couldn't see it, although it would have been best if I could have.
Jonny stood there, holding Mavis in his arms. Elsewhere came the three children, whispering something in their ears. A big smile came over Jonny's face, while Mavis was a little concerned. She noticed that we are getting along, but she can't get rid of the feeling, that there might be something about me. She was right with Ericka, why shouldn't she be with me? Jonny of course sees it casual, feeling happy for Drac to find someone to love again. The three agreed. Dennis and Winnie arranged something for us in the small garden. Hardly any monster walks by, so it would be perfect for us to be alone. Sally wanted to make sure, that I would take the bait she planned for me. Mavis is moved by her son's effort to get us together. She hesitated at first, before joining in on the plan.
"Mommy, could you do something for us?" asked Dennis sweet.
"Of course honey. What is it?"
"Can you arrange a hearse for the two? We found a spot where they both can see the moon tonight. You know...to make it romantic."
Mavis chuckled at her little boy, while Jonny gave her a wink. Like father, like son! She did that right once we had finished our dance. For me and Drac, the dance was agonizing. It looked so harmonious, but closes up; you can see it was tense. Luckily, it was finally over! Drac took his hands off me and bowed deeply. I did the same, as Sally came into sight.
"Auntie N/A, papa Drac!"
She look like she was panicking over something, "What is it Sally?"
"Tinkles! He is destroying the garden!"
I looked confused, "garden, what garden?"
"It is at the entrance of the hotel" said Drac, not speaking directly at me.
That remind me, we left him at the entrance of the hotel. Before Sally could say anything else, we rushed past her and headed straight to the garden. She gave Dennis a thumb up, as he flew back to Winnie. She finished the last details, as the vampire boy turned back "Papa Drac and Mama N/A are coming! Hide!"
The minute they were gone, we arrived at the garden, only to see it...in one piece.
"What is going on here? Where is Tinkles?"
Drac shrugged, "I don't know"
In the distance we could see light. Drac panicked that it might be a fire, as he rushed towards it. I followed him shortly after, only to be just as confused as he. We both stood there with our mouths open. Before us was a table, decorated like a dinner for two, with two candles brightening the atmosphere? For what? We slowly walked towards it, to see several flowers spread across the table.
"What is this?" he asked me, hoping I might have an answer for this.
I shook my head, "beats me."
We both jumped as the sound of music came up.
"Surprise!!!!!!!!!!!"
The sudden jump out of the bushes, made me and Drac hug each other. Like Jonny and Drac did on their table flight. Dennis and Winnie startled us. The young vampire orders us to take a seat, while he and the werewolf girl would get the food.
Right now, I had wished for the garden to be destroyed by Tinkles. It would be better than sitting here with a vampire I hate. I gave him a quick glance, as I froze. He sat there like a nervous wreck...looking into the distance.
I didn't like this...at all!
