"come on, jake, or else we will be late for lee's dinner." said jake's mother, while putting her shoes on.

jake tried a few times to convince his mother to stay home, but all his attempts failed miserably. he was definitely not very excited about seeing him as soon as he arrived in korea.

apparently the hatred wasn't only from heeseung's side. at least not after his last time he was here. he remembers actually enjoying his time being with the elder. he thought they were having fun. heeseung was the type to hide his real feelings and instead laugh along with jake after getting in silly situations. this wasn't until one day heeseung snapped.

it was the day before jake had to leave korea for the next four years. honestly, he doesn't even remember what caused heeseung to throw a big tantrum back then. he was just telling the other one of his stupid little jokes and after that a big fight started between them. this memory is blurry in jake's mind, but there were a few words that hurt him like no others did.

"you're honestly the most childish, annoying, ignorant and selfish person I've ever met. all this time I had to play along with your dumb jokes. my life would've been so much better if you weren't in it. I can't stand you anymore! leave. now."

he was so sad that day he promised he would do his best to never meet lee heeseung ever again. but that sadness turned slowly into hatred.

and now, jake's waiting with his parents at their neighbours' door.

"maybe they aren't home?" asked jake after knocking a few times on the door.

"i think we should wait a little more."

jake sighed and knocked two more times. suddenly a voice behind the door was heard.

"niki, how many times did I tell you to not knock on-" heeseung didn't get to finish his sentence after he opened the door. "oh... it was you guys." he said looking at jake's parents. "and... um- hi jake." heeseung smiled awkwardly at him, receiving a frown from the other. "please come in. my mom is in the kitchen so she probably didn't hear you." all of them entered the house, jake looking from side to side. a lot of things changed.

"oh. my. goodness. is this jake sim?" out of nowhere a woman's voice echoed. jake turned to his right and saw a middle-aged woman running in his direction. "it really is my favourite jake shim!" exclaimed she, hugging the boy as tight as she could. jake laughed and said, "how many other jake shims do you know, mrs lee?" "oh there might be a few, but they are definitely not as handsome as you are. I bet you've already had a few girlfriends. my heeseung can't manage finding a single lady who would fancy him." said the woman, moving her head from side to side.

"mom, the food is burning!" screamed heeseung from the other side of the living room.

"oh yes! jake, I'm gonna steal your parents for a few moments so they can help me prepare the food. you can sit at the table next to heeseung and meanwhile chat with him!" heeseung's mother said before going back in the kitchen, followed by jake's parents.

jake sat at the table, opposite heeseung. after moments of silence, he heard the other one asking "soo... do you have any plans this summer?" jake looked at him with a raised eyebrow before smirking at heeseung.

"visiting and annoying you every day, of course."
