When the twins are surrounded by pirates, they have no choice but to surrender before the pirates take their weapons away.

Ripley: So thoughtful to bring us your vestiges. Yet I can't help but wonder, why risk so much to find little old me?

Vex: (Glares.) You know why.

Ripley: Oh, him. Percy did deal us quite setback. But one the vestiges you've brought me cab rectify. Once you've properly disarmed. It's unfortunate. He would be alive if he had made better choices. Or if you were to save him.

Once they got their weapons away. They cuff them.

Ripley: Ah, but you're just as obstinate as he was. Percival possessed genius, but no foresight. He couldn't recognize the rot in this world, nor how to disinfect it. We could have toppled the old order. Given the people of Whitestone a chance against those dragons. But Percy didn't care.

Vex: He cared for his people more than you ever could.

Ripley: I'm sure that's what he told you. But I knew a pettier man. When he realized his weapons would feed souls to Orthax, he couldn't stomach it. He'd rather let the masses die than sacrifice his pride.

Vex: You bitch!

Ripley: (Smirk.) Having a problem, dear?

This made Vex angry, but the chains are what's holding her back.

Vax: Sister, don't. Allow me.

Vax summons his knife back from one of the pirates and kills the big guy.

Using him as a meat shield before the pirates start firing, including Ripley.

Unbeknownst to them, YN merges out of the water and it turns out that he was hidden in the water after he jumped off Vex broomstick when they got close enough to the ship. After he climbs up, he sees the twins are pinned down but are in a fair cover where they're using the dead big guy as a meat shield. Nevertheless, he knows it's time to execute the plan by climbing back up and pulls out a small magic bottle where it shows a blue glowing liquid inside.

He clears his throat before speaking out loud.

YN: I'll bet those weapons make you all badass, don't they?

The pirates then saw the witcher leaning against the wooden pole while playing with something on his hand.

YN: Well I know it cuz I used to use one that's more powerful than the ones you have. I know them well enough to see how it can punch through metal armor.

He secretly cast Quen on himself without anyone noticing.

YN: Just how powerful it is with just one pull of the trigger, and how instantly it can take an innocent life by just simply taking an aim.

He glances at the magic bottle while he still speaks.

YN: Except there's only one slight problem about these weapons. How cold can the oils and the black powder handle?

The witcher tosses the bottle where everyone saw. Before they notice it, the bottle explodes and the whole area freezes. Though it wasn't strong enough to freeze the people, it was enough to freeze their weapons to prevent them from shooting.

YN: I guess not.

With that, the witcher jumps down and unsheathe his swords.

YN: So are you pigs just gonna stand there and wait to be butchered? Or are you gonna fight like a real man?

Ripley: Kill him!

This gave the twins the chance to escape while YN killed most of the pirates.

Just as he kills the pirates, he notice that some of them grab new weapons that weren't frozen. Making YN to duck in cover at the side of the ship before the twins join in.

Vax: Good start with the plan.

YN: Too bad I didn't have enough time to adjust it right without freezing all of us.

Vex: You would've thought of using it against Thordak?

YN: Uh, hellfire dragon? Duh. Now hold still.

YN uses his sword to cut their chains to free them before Vex inspects the pirates who are still shooting them.

Vex: Wait for them to reload and then dash to get my bow. Vax?

Vax evades the pirate sword attacks until the pirate is stabbed by the spear vestige.

YN: Too long, I'll provide cover for you, Vex.

YN picks up the dead pirate to use him as a meat shield. He and Vex make a run while using the pirate as a meat shield until they get to cover at the other side of the ship before YN tosses the pirate to the shooters and joins the twins to the cover.

Vex: I don't suppose you have more of those ice explosions.

YN: No, but I got a better one.

YN pulls out a smoke bomb.

YN: They can't shoot us if they can't see us.

Vex: Split up?

YN & Vax: Split up.

They split up as the pirates kept shooting.

Ripley: Shoot them dead on sight!

YN: Can't shoot what you can't see!

YN tosses a smoke bomb and it releases a cloud of smoke to blind the shooters. With that, the trio engage the pirates who are now blind to shoot. Fortunately the witcher has strong senses to know where they are while the twins take the high ground.

Some of the pirates notice the twins and start firing at them.

Vax: Fucking how many of you are there!?

While the boys fight the shooters, Vex swings her way to the helm where Ripley is and fires a fire arrow. Misses but begins to burn the helm before Ripley shoots Vex. Fortunately it only gave Vex a flesh wound as she stayed in cover until Ripley appeared in front of her and aimed. Vax threw his knife at Ripley before she could shoot Vex.

Vax: Stubby, brace!

Vax grabs his sister before YN makes his way up and Ripley tries to shoot him. But the witcher moves too fast for her to shoot and he grabs and throws her down to where what's left of the pirates for the twins to regroup with him since it's safe at the moment. However, it wasn't long as Ripley aimed her gun at the barrels that had black powder.

3rdpirate: Ma'am, wait. You could hit the kegs.

Ripley: I know.

The witcher notices she's about to aim at the barrels and he quickly uses Quen to shield them from the explosion.

But the impact was so much that it knocked them back as it started to burn the ship. The explosion knocked YN out since he was close to the impact, before his eyes got heavier, he saw the twins fighting off Ripley and his eyes shut until he heard a familiar voice. Ones that he never thought he'd hear them again ever since he got teleported to this world.

Geralt: Hey, YN? Wake up.

YN POV

I open my eyes to see myself back in Kaer Morhen and see my friends surrounding me.

Lambert: Oi, why is it that you always sleep a lot after drinking so much?

Geralt: (Chuckles.) You look like shit, YN. After drinking so much in our drinking game.

YN: Lambert? Geralt?

Vesemir: YN, it's been a while? How have you been?

YN: Vesemir?

I got back up and saw all of my witcher friends were here.

YN: All of you are here...how?

Lambert: Well, you thought we'd start drinking without you?

Eskel: Oh shut it, you were drinking before any of us had the chance.

YN: Is this real?

Vesemir: What? Had a weird dream?

YN: It...felt real...I did enjoy it.

Remus: Maybe tell us about the dream you've been having while we drink.

Lambert: (Smile.) Come on, let's go have some ale! For old time sake.

This made me smile and I walked to my friends as I miss them so much ever since the wild hunt. But right when I was about to join them, I heard a familiar voice.

Keyleth: YN...?

I looked back and didn't see anyone except the dark until a white glowing root appeared in the dark. I knew it was Keyleths voice as she spoke again.

Keyleth: You know I'm in love with you, right...?

With that, the roots disappeared and I still look where it was.

YN: I know...

Vesemir: Go with her.

I look back at Vesemir who comforts me.

Vesemir: You may have been teleported to another world, but this means you can start anew.

YN: But what about you and the witchers?

Geralt: Don't worry about us. We'll manage, YN. We always do.

Remus: You should've seen how much witcher has come. But it'll still be tough for them, including us training them.

Vesemir: The world we live in ain't always forgivable. But you? If you really love someone over there, then go with her. This is your story. We'll always be with you, in there.

Vesemir placed his hand on my chest. I remember he once told me about his love and how she died. Soon I hug my mentor before all my witcher friends group hug me.

YN: (Tears and smile.) I'll miss you all. You too, ya ol' bastard.

Vesemir: (Chuckles.) You too, ya little prat bastard wolf.

Remus: Just remember where you came from and your friends too.

Vesemir: More importantly...

Vesemir held up a cup of ale as the rest of my friends did the same.

Vesemir: Become a real witcher, make yourself something more...to better men. Goodbye, Dark Wolf...

YN: Goodbye...

I walk back to the dark while a black wolf appears behind me and follows as we both walk together.

3rd POV

The twins face Ripley but she keeps firing more shots with the help of Orthax while the ship continues to burn down.

Orthax: Behind us!

Ripley dodges Vax kicks with her vestige. They both match their speed as Vax tries to attack closer until he hears Percy's voice echoing in a desperate tone.

Percy: No!

Orthax: Yessss.

Percy: No! Please!

Vax: Percy...?

This distraction gave Ripley the opportunity to grab him and toss him away before she shot Vex to the shoulder and she fell in the water.

Now leaving her against Vax who are both last ones standing. They both match their speed as Ripley fires and Vax dodges until he gets shot to his waist and falls on the stairs before Ripley aims her gun at him.

Ripley: (Smirk.) It's all over.

Vax: Not yet.

Vax knocks the gun away from Ripley's grasp with his knife, but ends up getting choked by Ripley.

Ripley: (Chuckles.) Arrogant to the end.

Vax: Nah. I just- (Grunt.) -Know something you don't.

This confused Ripley until she noticed Vex merge out of the water and take aim at her vestige at Ripley.

Before Ripley could run, her leg was shot by YN with his crossbow to keep her from running. Giving Vex the final blow by shooting Ripley to the chest and her back fell against the wall.

The witcher gets back up and grabs the gun. After he inspects it, he aims it at Ripley to give her a taste of her own medicine. 

Ripley: (Coughs blood.) So, you have a powerful weapon now. Think you can kill me with that weapon? I thought you were a man.-

YN angrily fires until the ammunition is empty. Ripley opened her eyes and noticed that he missed every bullet.

When she looked at YN, she didn't just see his rage, she saw a dark wolf forming from his aura.

Filled with pure rage and yet maintains its ground until YN is close to punch her stomach. Causing her to collapse as she coughs out air.

YN: I am not a man!

He grabs her hair and pulls where she screams from pain.

YN: I am a witcher!

He punches her face against the wall where she lost a tooth.

YN: I hunt monsters!

He grabs her hand and snaps it before she yells again until he punches her in the face.

YN: And. You. Are. One of them!

He pins her down and starts beating her up as the others watch him in horror of his true wolf until Vex yells.

Vax: YN. YN! That's enough!

YN stops and sees how beaten Ripley is before getting back up.

Ripley: (Spits blood.) You...don't have...the guts...to finish me off.

YN: You wanted pain...you've earned it. Monster. (To Vex.) Sorry about that. She's all yours now.

Vex nods, gladly to have this opportunity to avenge Percy by aiming her arrow at Ripley who still coughs blood.

Ripley: My work...would have made the world safer, better.

Vex: The world would be better with Percy still in it.
