3rd POV

The acid dragon name Umbrasyl fly above the civilian, letting the acid on his wings fall like a rain. Allura uses her magic to catch him and pins him by the tower before Kima strikes him with her magic hammer but no affective.

Umbrasyl: Pathetic. Let me show you real power!

He blast acid out of his mouth to the tower before the rocks falls towards them.

Pike: No!

The rocks falls close to them, causing a cloud of dust.

Vax POV

I woke up from the rock fall while my head was ringing. Once I get my senses clear, I look around and notice the casualties. Suddenly I saw someone from a distance who's wearing a white mask and dark clothes.

She made eye contact with mine but when I look away for a second, she vanished. I didn't know who it was until my sister interrupted me.

Vex: Brother, are you all right? Vax!

Vex help me up as the rest were find from the rock fall.

YN: Everybody all right?

Pike: Incoming!

YN: Spoke too soon!

An ice dragon from above fly towards us, Percy tries to shoot it but to no affect as it prepares for another ice blast.

Gilmore: Look out, everybody down!

Gilmore quickly cast a shield above as the blast deflect and cast the ice all around us. But the ice split us all to three groups. Keyleth, Grog, Scanlan, and my sister are at the other side of the ice while the rest of us are at the other side and Gilmore is all alone.

Gilmore: (Cough.) Dragons. Attacking together. Meet at my shop!

Scanlan: Right!

YN: Be careful you guys!

Keyleth: You too.

They left but Vex look at me before she place her hand on the ice as I did the same.

Vax: Stay safe, sister.

YN: Come on, we gotta move!

I nod before we make out way to Gilmore's shop.

Keyleth POV

We run near the green toxic mist until a dragon appear in front of them as Scanlan tripped.

Scanlan: Shit! Uh...everybody back up...slowly.

Vex: It must be...ancient.

Raishan: Delicious cattle. Raishan enjoys the taste of fear.

She inhales before blasting a toxic mist directly towards us. I quickly use my wind magic to counter the attack. She notice we're alive and look directly at me.

Raishan: You! I've seen you.

I gasp, realizing that I've seen those eyes before, at the lair of the previous dragon.

Grog: (Grunts.) Fuck all this! Time to rage!

Grog charges at her with incredible speed as he makes a war cry. But his axe immediately break once it made contact to her skin. Grog was knock back by the impact and notice his destroyed axe.

Grog: Oh, my favorite head-chopper!

Raishan: Growls.

Grog: Uh-oh.

Raishan's about to blast another toxic, but she was stopped by Scanlan magic foot on her mouth.

Scanlan: (Smirks.) I don't think so.

Suddenly she destroys it like it was nothing to her as she evily laughs.

Raishan: Is that your best?

Scanlan: (Shock.) Wait, Its got magic, too!? Vex, you got a plan?

Vex: Sure do. Grog!

Grog: Come on!

Grog grabs him before we run away from Raishan.

3rd POV

Others run through the town as Umbrasyl reigns acid above the civilians.

Vax: Head up!

YN: Everybody get close!

Vax: Wait for us!

YN prepares a shield magic. The acid got close to Vax but Percy without hesitation, push Vax to YN before he uses his shield dome. Percy takes the hit of the acid before he collapse scream by the acid burns he got.

Pike: Percy!

Once the 1st group are away from the green mist. They end up taking the long way as the area begins to heat up.

Scanlan: Are we taking the long way to Gilmore's or something!?

Suddenly Vex head begins to ring again as she notice there's a dragon near.

Vex: Yes, because of that!

They all look and saw a dragon name Thordak as the building near him are burning.

Scanlan: Uh, yeah, yeah, the long way sounds good.

As they let him pass without being spotted, Thordak speaks up.

Thordak: People of Emon! Thordak demands capitulation. Submit to the Cinder King!

He roar so powerful that it cause an impact of powerful heatwave where the 1st group are until Grog grabs a large metal door.

Grog: Get behind me!

Grog uses it as a shield to protect from the heatwave as the scene blacks out.

Percy POV

I grunt and open my eyes to see Pike trying to heal me as I hear her voice mumbling.

Pike: (Mumble.) Oh, no! Hang on, Percy! Everlight, please.

Soon I notice something above and saw its a dragon flying towards us. I struggle to move my arm to point above while trying to say the words.

Percy: (Grunts.) Incoming...

Pike: Almost.

Vax and YN saw the dragon is coming for another acid reign.

Vax: Pike, make it quick!

YN: Fuck that!

YN wasted no time to grab and carry me over his shoulder.

YN: Follow me!

YN runs off but Vax yells at him.

Vax: (Shouting.) Wrong way, asshole!

YN: (Runs back.) Follow Vax!

YN follow Vax while carrying me and Pike heals me on the way.

3rd POV

Emon soldiers on the tower prepares two crossbows and aims at Thordak.

Captain: Militia, fire!

They fire at Thordak but it only bounce away before he breathes fire and destroys the tower. Meanwhile Grog drops the heated door that protected them.

Vex: First fucking door that actually helped us.

(RIP Lance Reddick.)

The powerful blast destroy the entire castle before Thordak flew and landed on it as its melting like a volcano.

Thordak: Hear me, insects. You live out of mercy. Fight or flee, and you forfeit that mercy.

    A new age is upon you. The rule of the Chroma Conclave! ROOOOOAR!!!

Keyleth: (Afraid.) It's....like the end of the world.

Vex: Not for us, Keyleth!

They continue to make their way to Gilmore's shop until Vex bump into her brother and everyone is back together.

Vax: Sister! You made it!

YN: Glad to see you guys made it.

Scanlan: (Mimic Vax voice.) "And I'm so glad your alive, Scanlan."

The ship takes off and flees until the ice dragon name Vorugal destroys it and the ship crash down near.

Vax: Is that Gilmore's!? Oh gods...

Once they made it, they found the shop completely destroyed by the crashed ship.

Vax: Gilmore! Shaun! Damn it! Where is he? Hello? Check everywhere!

Pike: Gilmore? Gilmore!

YN: Christ, they're making sure we don't try to flee.

Percy cleans his glasses but his hands slipped and it fell. As he picks it up, he hears somone groaning and saw Gilmore underneath the rubble.

Percy: He's here!

Grog: Step back, Percy. I got this.

Grog moves the rubble before Vax checks on his friend.

Vax: (Relief.) Don't move, old friend. I thought I'd lost you.

Gilmore: (Grunts in pain.) Oh, it was very close. Just let me gaze onto your brooding eyes before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

Vax: Smiles: You're not going to die. Not today.

Vax look at Pike who nods before heals Gilmore, but she couldn't heal his leg completely.

Pike: I'm sorry. The leg'll have to wait, I'm tapped out.

Gilmore: At least you healed me face. That's the most important part anyway. (To Vax.) Well, second most important part.

Five of them watch those two awkwardly.

(YN between Scanlan and Vex.)

Gilmore: Everyone, take whatever you need. Preferably discount item- Oh, screw it! Take it all, go!

YN: (Whispers to Vex.) Lets not waste this opportunity!

Vex: (Whispers.) Agree!

They all go and grab the supplies. Vex grabs all the arrows.

Vex: All of these, thank you very much.

Scanlan looks for an item, but one by one someone else gets it before he does. First was the belt but YN snatches it.

YN: Sorry little guy, call dibs.

Scanlan: That's not even your size.

YN: Hmm... Hey, Grog!

Grog: (Grabs a bag item.) Yeah?

YN: What do you got?

Grog: Oh, just a magic small bag with a lot of space, but we already have one.

Scanlan: Oh, can I take-

YN: Trade you that for this cool belt.

Grog: Fuck yeah! Grog likes that belt!

Second was another bag but Vax snatched it.

Vax: Saw it first, Scan-Man.

Next was a bottle, but Pike snatched it.

Pike: Hey, finders keepers.

Last was just a....a broomstick.

Scanlan: (Disappointed.) Aw, man. A broom. (Scoffs.) Weak.

Suddenly they all hear a rumbling as the ground shake.

Grog: Uh, that sounds close.

YN: What was that?

Vex peeks outside and saw the building are collapsing as the fire comes towards them.

Vex: Oh, shit. Gilmore, does this place have a back door?

Gilmore grabs and open the box before grabbing the travel crystal.

Gilmore: In a matter of speaking. Everyone, draw near!

YN: And for once in my life, I'll take the chance.

Vex: Where's Scanlan?

Scanlan: Coming!

Scanlan runs towards them while the fire is coming fast. Gilmore reach his hand for Scanlan.

Gilmore: Give me your hand!

At the last second, Scanlan jumps and grabs his hand before they all immediately teleported to their home.

Scanlan: (Relief.) Yes! I'm alive. Oh, Gilmore, I'd kiss you right now, but you'd inevitably fall in love with me, and that'd be a messy, so...eh.

Gilmore grunts as the travel crystal is destroyed.

YN: Enough distraction. Everyone grab everything you need, and be quick.

YN heads to his room and gather everything he has while Vax helps Gilmore up.

Vax: Easy friend.

He help Gilmore sit down.

Vax: Thanks for getting us our of there.

Gilmore: (Smirk.) Hmm.

YN: Vax, take this.

YN tosses Vax a small jar of medicine before jump off the second floor and lands.

YN: It'll smooth the pain for the time being. At least until we get help.

Vax: Thanks, we owe you one.

YN: Consider even since your friend saved our asses before their grilled to death.

Grog: Here we go.

Three of them saw Grog grab the black sword that once belong to Silas.

Gilmore: (Curious.) Grog, where did you get that curious blade?

Grog: (Grin.) Off a vampire lord.

YN: Silas?

Grog: Yup, pretty cool right?

Gilmore: (Concern.) It radiates dark magic. Are you sure you know what it does?

Grog: (Chuckles.) Sure do. Chops up dragons.

YN: No, I don't trust that sword. Grog, you saw what it does when Silas used it to take people's blood.

Grog: Uh, what did it do?

YN: Okay my point is, you can't use it. Its dark magic.

Grog: Please? Its all I got left.

Grog use his puppy eyes on YN who sigh from frustration.

YN: Fucking hell....fine, but once we find an axe for you, you'll throw that sword away. And I mean it.

Grog: Deal!

Grog place the sword behind him while Percy looks at the view the destruction from the window.

Percy: We're still too close to the city for my liking. I saw we retreat to Whitestone. My sister will take us in. We can regroup and plan a counterattack.

Vax: And meanwhile Emon falls. The capital of this whole fucking continent. We can't just abandoned it.

Scanlan: Percy's right. I mean, come on, did you see them? Four. Giant. Dragons.

YN: I'm with Vax side. There could still be survivors at the city. We can't just leave them to rot with those creatures.

Vex: (To Vax.) Brother, what more can we do? Our weapons are useless. They're ancient and powerful. We don't stand a chance.

Trinket: Growls.

Vex: (Pets Trinket.) You don't like those nasty old lizards, either. Do you, Trinket?

Keyleth: They called themselves the "Chroma Conclave." I thoughts dragons didn't get along.

YN: In my home world, there are a few and they did, but never a life threatening, not like this at least.

Gilmore: That's what worries me. Their alliance could mean the destruction of Tal'Dorei. This could be the end of civilization as we know it.

Scanlan:  Yeah, but, come on, Civilization's overrated. (Smile.) I say fuck it, let's hit Marquet. I've always wanted to go on a world tour.

This made YN angry as he grips his fist and Scanlan notice it as he sweat until Pike spoke up.

Pike: Yeah, real heroic, Scanlan. I thought we stopped running from our problems.

Keyleth: Um, guys. What if this is our fault? We killed that blue dragon, Brimscythe. Do you think, this is revenge?

Vax: If it is, its one hell of a payback.

Pike: Look, if we want to kill those things, we'd need an army.

Percy: Emon had the biggest army in Tal'Dorei until Brymscuthe dismantled it. This plan has long been in motion.

YN: Damit, we're stretched thin as we know it.

Suddenly they hear knocks at the main gates. They head to the main gates and open it to see a line of survivors.

Pike: So many...

YN: We have to get them inside, quick.

Keyleth: Um, okay, hurry, you'll be safe in here.

Scanlan: Everybody inside. Its gonna be fine. Oh, uh, and, hey, if you go in my room, that's, like, a totally normal swing. Don't worry about it.-

YN: Scanlan, nows not the time!

Scanlan: Alright, alright.

Soon two young siblings arrive and coughing.

Keyleth: Where are your parents?

The kids didn't say anything and YN realize of their parents, it reminded him of his parents before-

???: Distance roar!

He thoughts was interrupted and he felt the cold.

YN: Keyleth, is it getting cold?

Keyleth saw the snowflakes and gasp, realizing a dragon is coming. Once he arrives, he freezes the survivors outside as they run with their lives.

Vex: Lock the gates!

They close the gates but in a minute, in the gates were destroyed as they were knock back. Vorugal breathes ice and blast the house, destroying it with ice.

Percy: Like I said, Whitestone!

Vax: Make it happen, kiki!

Keyleth: Uh, on it!

YN: We'll buy time. Distract that son of a bitch!

Keyleth works on making the portal from a tree while Vex and Scanlan tries to distract Vorugal with illusion, but soon he sees its illusion and ignores it as he spots the real ones.

Scanlan: Fuck! Am I starting to get predictable?

Vex: (Stern.) "Starting to"?

roars before charging at them as they run.

Scanlan: Come on, little legs, run!

Suddenly trips as Keyleth is close with the portal.

Keyleth: Portal's almost open...now!

Refugees runs towards the portal and enters while Vox machina are the last. Grog carry Gilmore to the portal as the kids are behind. Vorugal then prepare another ice breath and blast it to the kids until Pike shields them with her magic shield.

    She was knock back and Scanlan helps her up.

Scanlan: Portals closing! We got to go!

prepares another ice breath until YN use his fire magic to block the ice breath.

YN: (To Scanlan and Pike.) Go! I got this!

Scanlan: Wait we can't leave you!

YN: Shut up and go!

They went through the portal as YN gives everything he's got as the ice breath get stronger and stronger. At the last second, vines appear out of the portal and grab him before the was pulled in. This was thanks to Keyleth.

Keyleth: Are you okay!?

YN: (Grunts.) Yeah, just got the chills.
