After her acceptance. Time moved rapidly towards her first day at UA.

Karon had hardly spoken to Nova since then. Thankfully she had allowed Nova to go though. Despite her slight... Embarrassment over being wrong about her not being accepted. Zoey was completely ecstatic about it all. Her sister was going to be a hero and she thought it was awesome.

Before going to UA herself, Nova walked Zoey to school. It was the same one she had attended the year before nowhere near as exciting as UA. Which was all she could talk about.

"You think you'll fight more robots?! Bad guys!? Your uniform looks super fancy. I wish I had buttons like that!" She said, talking nonstop.

They got to the gate of her school.

"See ya! Have fun beating villains!" Zoey waved at her about to run away and find her friends.

"Woah woah hold on." Nova said, holding her shoulders. She got on a knee infront of her, getting on her level.

"Whaaaat?!" Zoey whined impatiently.

"Listen Zoey. You have to promise to be good okay? Don't do anything to get in trouble." She said seriously.

"Nova... You said you wouldn't bring it up again... I didn't mean it... I promise..." Zoey said, her eyes losing their light.

"I know I did... But I won't be able to help you everytime. You have to stop. If you get caught I won't... I won't be able to save you again." She whispered.

Zoey bit her lip. "I'll be good... No matter how tempting It is... I'll be good I promise." She looked down sadly, breaking eye contact.

Nova knew the little girl was being genuine about her remorse. But she also knew the girl had trouble fighting herself...

Zoey was a bit of a kleptomaniac. Which means she was addicted to stealing, for no reason at all other than the rush of it.

Nova had been the only person to ever notice. It started with small things. Pencils, bobby pins, coins. But soon she leveled up to wallets and phones and car keys. Before Nova could help her get a handle on it...

She actually stole two expensive necklaces from their neighbor.

Who suspected them and called the authorities. When they came Zoey had a panic attack and explained everything she had done to Nova. Who eventually...

Took the fall. Telling the police that she had stolen them, not Zoey.

Leading to her spending four months in Juvie. Which wasn't a place she was keen on visiting again. Not to mention the huge black mark on her record. "Kurayami" and "thief" didn't look good on any application whatsoever. But in all honesty it was worth it to keep Zoey out of trouble.

"I know you will." Nova ruffles her hair. "Just keep those sticky fingers to yourself okay? Be a model student and no fighting."

"Okay!" Zoey smiled as her sister showed her a smile. She cherished every smile from Nova.

Because these days... Zoey was the only one who made her look so happy.

She was on UA grounds again... This time as a student.

Her uniform hugged her nicely. Her legs were covered by leggings underneath her skirt, she wasn't used to skirts. Especially not one this short. But she also kinda liked it, it was cute and flowy.

She hugged herself as she walked through the courtyard. Passing several other students, all excited and chatting. She wondered if any of them would be her future classmates.

There were some older students, third or second years in a group by a tree. A girl with cat ears skipped past Nova and that same boy with white hair and large mutated arms walked ahead of her a few paces.

At the door to the actual school were two girls talking, one with a stoic face and black hair. Another with a friendly smile and red hair. A few shades lighter than Nova's, and way smoother.

Nova looked away from other students and down to the ground. At her scuffed school shoes. Shoes weren't included in the new UA uniform so she used an old pair from a few years ago. They were a little small, pinching her toes. But it wasn't too terribly uncomfortable.

She walked down the halls. According to her student guide that was sent along with the uniform she was in class 1-A. One of the two hero course classes.

She chewed on her thumbnail. Pulling on the small loose skin around the area. The pain was numbed by her anxiety as she finally approached the door to her classroom.

She was early. By about ten minutes. She hoped she wasn't too early though. That it wouldn't be her and the teacher alone. That would be awkward.

She took a few deep breaths and touched the handle of the door. Carefully sliding it open and peeking inside.

"Yes and as I was saying-"

The small conversation going on inside the room came to a stop when disturbed by Nova, whose face turned red from embarrassment.

There were three other students in the room.

One was a girl sitting politely at her desk. She had her black hair tied into a ponytail and looked very... Elegant in Nova's opinion.

Beside her was a boy with striking hair. White on one side, red on the other. He was peacefully reading a book.

The third and final character was a familiar tall boy with neatly styled blue hair and glasses. He was the one who had been talking, saying something about his previous school to the girl. Before he completely turned to see who came in.

Nova almost turned around right then and there. It was him. The critical boy from the entrance exam.

"GREETINGS FELLOW CLASSMATE!!!" He practically yelled. He crossed the room in mere seconds. Standing infront of Nova and moving his arms in a quick chopping motion. "I almost thought you were the teacher!! I was really hoping to speak with him but he seems to be tardy!"

Nova blinked rapidly. Her mind trying to catch up to his words. He stared back at her. Standing so close to him Nova could see how tall and muscular he really was. Nova wasn't short by any means, in fact she was taller than most girls in her grade. But this boy still had several inches over her.

"Anyways! My name is Tenya Iida!! I'm from Somei private academy!!" He stuck out his hand.

Nova felt her breath catch in her throat.

Iida.

She had heard that name before. She had done her research, looking into her father's crimes in detail. She knew every pro he ever fought in his 'career'. Any he killed or injured.

Ingenium.

Ingenium or rather Taro Iida had been a well loved pro. Challenging her father during one of his attacks. Unfortunately his quirk involved engines in his shoulders and legs. Made up of natural quirk metal.

The man had been completely disabled by her father. Or at very least he was rendered quirkless and forced to retire. Though he wasn't killed as many others it was still considered a tragedy.

And here this boy was... Most likely a son... Standing innocently infront of Nova. The girl who's father maimed his own.

"Perhaps you should try a gentler approach." The girl in the corner piped up. Pulling Nova out of her daze.

"My apologies!! I might've come off strong! But since our teacher is absent I've taken it up on myself to greet everyone who walks in!" The boy, Iida said with a bow.

"Um... I'm... Nova." She said nervously. Looking at his extended hand. It felt like taking it would be deceiving him in some way. Knowing he'd find out her name eventually. "I'm from Junshi academy."

"Ah! A military school!" He said, his face lighting up with Interest. "I've heard great things about Junshi! But Nova is an odd family name..."

"It's not. It's Just... mine." Nova admitted.

"Oh really?" He asked with a frown. It was odd to introduce yourself as your first name in Japan. Instead of your family name. It was actually considered personal to refer to someone by their birth name. Reserved normally for friends and family.

But Nova preferred it to Kurayami.

"Yeah. Just... Call me Nova. I don't mind." She said with a shy smile. Before practically running away from the boy.

His hand still extended.
